I was excited to watch Nabari no Ou because I like ninja anime. I really don’t think I have been this disappointed in an anime in a very long time. The premiseof Nabari no Ou is all of the Ninja clans clamor for this one secret art that has been tucked away in a apathetic little boy. The secret art , Shinrabansho, is said to allow the user to become the king of not only the ninja world but the world outside as well. However, because the boy is apathetic he doesn’t care about becoming the ruler even when other try to convince him.
The
...
best thing about this anime is the artwork! Everything looked as if someone took a manga and added movement. I really loved how sharp the colors were and how pretty the scenery was colored.
The art work is great but the story line failed. It began with a premise that wasn’t bad, however it didn’t deliver. Somewhere around the 5th or 6th episode the main character Miharu randomly began to care about a stranger and turned the story into a soft shonen-ai tragedy. I became almost sick at all of the almost shonen-ai for the next 20 episodes. What would have made it better would have been the hope of some cool ninja fight scenes, but there were none. Maybe I have been watching too much Naruto, but the fight scenes mainly consisted of throwing kunai or stars and that made me so sad. Also there were no super cool ninjas, in every ninja anime there is one really cool ninja who really means business when he fights- but not here. On top of the other fails of this anime, the attempt to examine the complex and dangerous relationships between the ninja in this story was insufficient. Every episode it seemed like they introduced someone new, a new back story and soon it became too many characters to even care about.
More or less the main character became annoying, selfish and way too much of a little girl. The promise of a king was never realized, the end montage of characters I was supposed to care about I couldn’t remember their names and some of their functions, and to be quite honest I said wth! at my computer screen way too many times. I gave it a 5 because at least they were all bishonen.

I have no idea why I thought this would be a good read. I think someone recommended it to me. Anyway I regret having to read Faster than a kiss, not only because it was highly improbable but also because i found it disgusting.
Taking that you have read the synopsis already, let me point out the good things- there are lots of surprises and twists in the story. There were some cool cosplay ideas throughout the story. I really liked the characters individually. Aside from the consealed perviness i liked the sensei Ma-kun and found his backstory very interesting. I thought the author did
...
a great job creating a world for the characters. there were some great moments in the manga were it wasnt pervy at all, but really sweet, caring, considerate touching family moments.
what i despised. like aforementioned, i dont know why i thought i would like a teacher loving a student manga- i generally find them repulsive. However, once i start a manga i have to finish it (its a problem I know). The reasons for the sensei taking the girl and her brother in were noble. the idea to have a secret marriage made no sense, he could have adopted them. having a young girl (and even more immature than her age) proved to be difficult for the sensei and troubles ensued. throughout the manga the sensei would rescue his young student at all costs and for a heroine who was supposed to be strong (wanted to take care of her brother herself) that was ridiculous, and made an initally strong heroine just another shojou character.
all in all it was mediocre at best and i could have done without the progressivley pervy sensei characteristic refering to his young student as a wife and making "future" plans for her . but without that what would the story be? maybe this read is out of my age group, but I dont recommend it to any one execept pre teens (who shouldnt read this) who are hot for their teachers (and they shouldnt be).
p.s. the ending is rushed and sucks.
p.p.s. sorry for my over use of "pervy"

i liked the story behind nonono. I thought that the author wrote a really strong heroine who wasnt above doing anything to realize her dream. I reall y could have done without the ecchi parts; the idea could have been portrayed without them and they werent an intrigual part of the manga.
the supporting characters were as strong as the heroine and i really liked that. However the author seemed to write in way too many incidental characters and random characters, where i lost track of them at some point.
It seems like the author had minimal knowledge on the sport of ski jumping
...
and learned more as the story went on, because i am not big on sports i thought that was really cool. The end was a let down because you dont know if she reached her main goal and what happens after the last chapter.
bottom line. Its a good read the chapters are generally short, sometimes you dont know if the heroine will succeed, and if you like cross dressing/ gender bending there is enough to go around. Sure there is lots of boobs, and other ecchi things. Sure, there are some chapters that were fillers and the end was a bust- but the rest of the ride was pretty good.

I will make this fairly short. You know the story already, cinderella has family issues, rich man finds her, tells her not to love him, theres money involved blah, blah blah... you can guess the ending . There were serious problems with the story line, that none of the other reviewers mentioned. The story started great, then it slowed down to the point of me skipping pages! and as if there was a problem the last 4 chapters sped in such a whirlwind to tie up all the ends and get all the characters to their respective places. The characters seemed to either develop slowly
...
or remain stagnant, and of course the issues created were seemingly from a telenovela. In all honesty I felt that the manga could have been finished in 2 volumes and it still would have had the same ending and overall feel. I did enjoy the artwork especially the attention to detail and the building work. The only reson i stuck with this is because i was invested the first 10 chapters and i have to finish what I start otherwise this would have been on my dropped list.

I started with goong by watching the live action drama, falling in love with the story and needing to read it till the end. The concept is a fantastic one that you find a lot in Kdramas and manhwas of a fictional monarchy. this story imparticular deals with a girl becoming a princess, to a prince who she clearly is the opposite of and having her free spirit being contatined by palace rules. This story is also about the love triangles that form resulting in scandal, death and some serious aplogizing.
i loved the way the characters were drawn here, and especially the detail
...
to the eyes and lips. I found that the structures were okay, but the people and clothing drawn was really good.
As previously mentioned I fell in love with the story and watching the characters develop, however I felt the author drew it out for a long time. It really could have ended a vloume or two before it did. Parts were very boring and static, and the overall theme of the manhwa did not change for about 5 volumes. the side stories seemed to really be worthless and the author admitted to wasted pages in the 2nd to last volume. I really felt that because it dragged on without any real new development of the story the author rushed through the end, making it unsatisfactory. in 2010 this was one of my favorite reads easily earning it a 9, however a poor ending gets it a 8.
I still will suggest it, because who wouldn't want their parents to secretly engage them to a HOT prince?
enjoy.

I liked Stray love hearts or SLH. I think even more so than barajou no kiss. The artwork drew me in. I like the way the author draws her characters, and her scenery. it appears that she likes her characters a certain way as most of the male characters shared faces and qualities of those from BnK.
I liked the story, it was simple easy to understand, but certainly had some holes in it. I often found myself questioning the motivation behind som of the character's actions. although the ending wasnt great it was still a good light read.
I hate to keep comparing it
...
to BnK but if you like that one you will really like this. SLH is like Bnk -light, no calories but all the flavor. SLH is not as dark themed as Bnk and a breeze to read.

I am not one to rain on someone’s parade but….. this manga was God-awful. Yes I did finish it after dropping it a few times, but what an awful waste of time.
I will take it that you are familiar with the story, so what you see in the first few 5 chapters essentially repeats itself through the end. Not only did the characters show no growth, but they were completely one sided. I was trying to figure if maybe I don’t fall in the target audience but there were too many sexual innuendos and too many girl on girl references /suggestive activity for
...
a young girl audience. Young girls are the only group that would really read something that’s not worthwhile.
Romance is really non-existent, the fights are not good. The characters were not funny, and Onidere didn’t have that special something that would suck a reader into caring about its characters. The ending was a mess, it seemed like the author rushed through writing each chapter and to top it all off it seemed that the story found no resolution. I don’t suggest reading this one, there are plenty other manga choices that would be much better.
I gave it a 3 becasue the author could draw fairly decent.

Let me begin by saying I loved this manwha all the way until chapter 127. I liked the characters and although I got a little annoyed with all the self sacrifice (and there is a lot of it) I liked seeing what was gonna happen next and waited anxiously.
The reason it wound up with an 8 from me is because the ending was completely rushed. Its like waiting 2 hours for a really short and uneventful ride at an amusement park. The majority of it is awesome keeps you interested and shows a lot of longing, emotional stress, and the true value of relationships and
...
things.
I think that ending really upset me so this is a great story with a happy cliche fast food ending.

I liked this anime, it had elements of magic in it (a lot of them actually) but you understood what everyone’s function was and what their tools were. Mainly a comedy, but with light romance, Rental Magica uses witches, priests, demons, sprits and ghosts in really dark situations.
Itsuki is the main character and as such he’s everything you love in your hero. He’s not as skilled as the other characters but he’s cute, kind hearted, accepts others who are different, hardworking, and has no idea that he’s in the middle of a harem. Lol. I didn’t like how the first 7 episodes seemed out of
...
order I wondered if maybe where I was watching them if they were. Some of the episodes would have made much more sense if placed elsewhere in the series. After around episode 10 it seemed as if the story became more conjunct and seemed to flow a lot better. As far as the story goes I feel that it was much more unique than some of the other magic animes I have seen- it had a sufficient amount of action, comedy, and suspense.
I really liked how the characters were drawn and . I like how there is always a happy ending for each episode but I didn’t like how the actual ending of the series went. I would love to have a sequel and feel some resolution from the story overall.

I don’t want to be biased, but I really didn’t like this manga. So this review isn’t going to be very nice. I did like that the characters are introspective and that the manga really portrays the confusion that most pre-teens experience. I did actually like that the manga seemed to be more artwork than a story.
I did not like the inconsistency of the characters a new person would be introduced but you wouldn’t see them again. I did not like the stagnate plot- you know the ending already why drag it out? I couldn’t stand that the characters couldn’t express themselves, and that
...
the reader was kept in the dark on their true feelings as well. By the end of each chapter I was even more confused by the love triangle than I had been previously. I also didn’t like that Yoshinori (Yoshi- main character) was having sexual thoughts about his neighbor (Hidari) starting when she was in 4th grade (perv much?). I thought it had too much unnecessary nudity- lots of nipples and such and most of it wasn’t called for. But WAY too much child nudity – or suggested nudity (the kids aren’t even in high school yet showing their pre-pubescent parts). However in a list of other things that totally freaked me out were: Yoshi making out with his sister, Hidari taking a bath and telling her dad she would do everything her mother did, Hidari’s friend in the weird relationship with that older guy, Hidari and her friends near lesbian relationship, and Yoshi’s kissing his best male friend and dating him. I surprisingly cool with Yoshi using his female alter ego Yuki to deal with harder feelings, situations and to get close to the other girl he had a crush on (but that was a bit weird).
Over all I didn’t like it. the ending was flat, and simply showed what Yoshi wanted to happen in the very first place. I guess you could view it as a study in teen and preteen sexual exploration with a favorable view towards extremes. Its mature audience is needed but it really needs a smut description.
