The only people who disagree with me are Dandadan fans. If you look at my review there are a lot of people who agree with me. I even gained some friends. Maybe Dandadan score Will not go like I expect to but it will go down because compared to Clannad, Dandadan story is trash. It is the animation giving it this score like blue lock.
Like I said, let's compare the scores of both sources and Overlord score is higher.
Overlord with trash animation reached top 10 on Mal. Dandadan with top tier will never achieve it.

Every shonen slop lover will tell you that Overlord they loved Overlord Season 1 but not Season 2 and 3 when it is common knowledge that Overlord gets better as it goes on. Overlord Season 2 and 3 have a deeper story than Season 1. The only reason you dont like it is because you only like action. The World building of Overlord begins truly in Season 2. This is why people who thought Overlord was a generic isekai became fans in Season 2 because the lore was revealed. If you think the lizardmen arc is trash, you are stupid. It was an important arc for the rest of Overlord. We saw its impact at the end of Season 2. You don't like complex stories, this is why you think the more complex Seasons of Overlord are Bad and why you like trash like Dandadan.
Dandadan Will fade like Jujustsu kaisen because there is no end goal. Overlord author had an end planned from the beginning. Vinland Saga is coming to an end. Mainstream trash like Dandadan don't have endings till they are cancelled. The author will continue to milk the same repetitive scenario till people are tired of it because he is here to make money not tell a story. There is no progression in Dandadan. If you read the reviens of the manga, fans are starting to get bored and see its formulaic nature. The downfall of Dandadan is near.

Let's compare others scores because you want to talk about it. There are other sites where Overlord is rated higher. In Japan Mal for example, where it matters, Dandadan is not nowhere near Overlord in score. Overlord is a cultural juggernaut. It brings half the profits of Kadokawa. The movie was Number 1 at the box office. Dandadan is seen as another shonen.
Let's talk about the scores of the source material to see which story people prefer. Overlord source has a higher score than Dandadan source despite coming 12 years ago. It is in the top 100.
The reason Overlord score is lower is because of LN readers who downvoted the anime because the adaptation did not include all the details where Dandadan received a perfect adaptation. This is the problem with the industry, masterpieces like Overlord and Vinland Saga have subpar adaptations while slop like Dandadan get all the ressources.
Even with their downvoting, Overlord has a great score on Mal, something impossible for Dandadan.

Like I said I watched with my friend as bonding time. This is something any normal person will do , share the pastime of your friends but you are too stupid to understand that. It is funny you bring scores to justify that people believe Dandadan is better. First, the scores are botted so I don't give a shit about scores. Secondly, it is not the final score of Dandadan. It is new so of course its score will be higher than Overlord which is decades old. In the next 10 years, Dandadan score will be lower than Overlord with more people rating it.
Third, Look at the amount of Users for both shows. Even Overlord Season 4 has more Users than Dandadan. Overlord is in top 100 favorites. Fourth, people on this site don't rate stories alone. They rate animation which is why Dandadan has such high score for now because it will decrease. Dandadan is carried by animation. Without it, it would have blue lock score right now. Reminder Blue lock Season 1 has a higher score than Overlord too. Now , look at the score without animation. Overlord had a 9 score even with trash animation and it still has an 8 score 10 years laters something Dandadan will never achieve. P

Hehe. If you want to niggle, I have seen more than one episode, but not voluntarily.

However, I would stand by the statement that most people could watch only 1 episode of almost any anime to decide whether its trash or not. Only the unemployed have the time to keep watching trash "in case it gets better". Sure it takes more than one episode to figure out just how good something is if it seems promising, but only idiots dont have the discretion to figure out that if ALL the components of the beginning of a show, novel, etc is bad, then probably the rest of the production is of the same quality.

Creative writing 101 is to put your best foot forward, for Darwinian reasons, shit that starts as shit usually continues to be shit, and fails. The only noteworthy phenomenon evident in Black Clover is how many retards there are in the anime community who actually cant tell how bad formulaic paint-by-numbers crap like Black Clover is. Its actually fucking funny. Its actually extra funny considering how heavily the manga publishing industry is set up to favor writing that starts strong, rather than writing that is well thought out, with that in mind im almost afraid to find out how bad Black Clover has become.

If it makes you feel any better, I actually suffered through ALL of Legends of the Galactic Heroes so that I could finally say that its mediocre-at-best, and one of the most overhyped franchises I've ever seen. If you want to try to join an elitist in-group so you can protect an anime thats not worth your time try that one.
