Death Parade is now one of my all time favourite anime and I truly did not believe anything could rank so highly in my mind. This wouldn't be an anime that I would tell someone is in my top three - purely because anime with stronger fandoms seem better to me in the sense the fandom is always there - but I would think about the plot and the characters etc to this day.
Story (9) ~ Taking place in a bar called Quindecim hanging on the borders of the worlds of life and death, Decim - the quiet bartender - decides where people will go
...
in the afterlife by testing them in psychological games that show their true colours and morals. Even though the story did have some plot holes and was confusing at times I was still rather engrossed in it and finished this anime in one day. And I guess the story contributes greatly to every other part of the anime that I love so much, building on the character of some just by being there.
Art (9)~ Things were a little too angular for my liking. There was an appropriate use/lack of colour depending on the situation, but I didn't like the sharpness to all the characters features. I guess it is the art style of the anime but it still bothered me a bit.
Sound (10) ~ Good bejesus that opening song! I hated it and loved it at the same time. Come the final episodes you will understand why I hated it. It is one of those where you just have to sing along, like Shingeki no Kyojin I guess. The soundtrack of the whole anime is beautiful with one of the best pieces in episode 11 (I think) and really setting the mood perfectly and making me more emotional than I already was!
Character (10) ~ This, I believe, is the very element that is meant to draw you into the anime in the first place. Even characters that you only get to see for two episodes will make an impact on you with their personalities and backstories. All of them are intriguing and the main cast pretty much just makes me cry.
Enjoyment (10) ~ This anime has made me laugh, cry and sing so ultimately just messed with my emotions. I was always invested in some way, scared for someone or feeling raging hatred for another, or crying for a few more. The characters are what gets you most invested in the story and they will be what you take away from this.
Overall Death Parade is an anime that I believe everyone should watch. Not only for its sadness and joy but also for the questions it raises and its own view on the world we live in. It is slow paced at times but that is mostly to build the mood, and this anime contains no fluff! Hallelujah!

Gantz - A story of people being randomly abducted and commanded by a ball to kill aliens, with a fair share of gore along the way. I have heard of anime with a worse premise that have actually turned out to be really good, but Gantz wasn't actually one of them.
Story (4)~ MAYBE all of my complaints will be resolved with season two but for now I will say that a lot is just thrown into the anime and not explained. A lot of conflict, mysterious overlord black ball guy, aliens..... And this isn't even a spoiler that none of it is explained, not
...
even a hint as to why ANYTHING in the anime is happening is dropped. I would just explain the story as guys killing aliens, which is probably pretty bad seeing as I'm someone who can make PacMan sound meaningful. I think that you should at least drop a tease to some answers in your first season (I really think SOMETHING should be answered mostly anyway) but towards the end all Gantz gave was people questioning what they had been all along, but just sounding more angry about it.
Art (6)~ Meh. The art is just meh. The characters are completely meh as well as the scenery and even the gore. The only thing that I can really comment on here is the art of the aliens. They are disgusting. I personally liked this element, even though it was immediately putting a bias on them (if something didn't look as absolutely ugly I would question why it deserved to be killed). I think it added nicely to the whole affect and mood and it does make you revolted by the enemy presented to you, which seeing as the story and characters give you no motivation to hate them I guess the artists had to make them ugly.
Sound (5)~ I like the opening song I guess but the rest of the soundtrack to me was white nose. I don't feel like it adds too much to any type of mood so it wasn't really notable to me.
Character (6)~ This is the saving grace of the whole anime for me, I really enjoyed the backstories of the characters. I didn't like any of the characters though if that makes any sense. Even those I sympathised with annoyed me whenever they opened their mouths and no one really has any notable or redeeming qualities. I just really enjoyed what they were going through in life, especially the characters that later come in to the anime.
Enjoyment (4) ~ As I said before, there isn't much really to draw you into the story, make you like the characters or just put you on edge in general. I was only really watching for as long as I did because I wanted to find out more about the characters backstories. Even the gore didn't pull me back into paying attention. Well maybe episode 11 had the most of my attention but even now Ouran High School Host Club was more nail biting than this.
Overall (6) ~ I really think I'm being generous here. Gantz is an anime that I would never ask someone if they've watched or tell them to watch because I don't care and I don't feel like it has anything that needs to be seen except for confusion, but not even a good kind of confusion like Cat Soup or Perfect Blue. Personally I wouldn't waste time on it as it doesn't really offer much and is really draw out with the last four episodes. Sorry Gantz but you have earned my meanest review yet.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! really was not what I expected it to be. This anime - despite it's outer appearance - is DEEP! When I started watching I sincerely thought I was going to drop this anime, but I stuck with it until episode 4 and my god I am glad that I did.
Story ~ 8
This anime wasn't really reliant on a story if that makes any sense. If anything it felt as if the story was only there to create character complexes or build them up. The basic thing about the story is that all of the main cast (bar two) suffered/have suffered
...
from what is known as 'second-grade syndrome' (chuunibyou) which pushes aside reality and replaces it with a fantasy world. Of course, some characters have a reason for resorting to this, so the story revolves around a girl with this 'syndrome' called Rikka as she is encouraged to accept reality.
Art ~ 9
Damn this art was cute. The scenery was so beautiful as well, making it seem like something ethereal as the characters do sometimes suggest. Although I did notice (I know this is anime but hear me out) the characters have HUGE tears. I'm surprised they haven't rigged them up to the town's water supply.
Sound ~ 8
The music is infectious, you can't help but sing along with the opening and ending themes god damn it! *slams fist on table* The OST is also epic, from the battle music to the sad scene scores.
Character ~ 10
BEST THING ABOUT THIS ANIME!!! All of the characters are remarkable and deep and just so likable! They had me laughing and crying the whole way through. Rikka will make me cry and when you start to watch you will call me a fool, BUT YOU SHALL SEE HUMAN! I think the characters are rather realistic and portray really well how we can wish to fall out of humanity and into worlds of magic and no limit to possibility, but some of them believe they are always in it.
Enjoyment ~ 9
So many references and jokes in this anime, it really kept me on my toes. I felt very involved in the main plot of this anime, and the whole thing kind of felt like a well rounded story (I guess it is but WITHIN the story it felt like a story) because of the quirky style of narration used. You'll get what I mean when you watch it and you'll either love it or find it cheesy.
Overall Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is a very moving coming of age story (I guess that's the term) that I feel everyone should watch as it's overall message is acceptance of yourself, no matter how weird!

I'm part of the love train for this anime clearly, and I have seen the split in the community about this one which I find really confusing but maybe I have tunnel vision because I absolutely loved this anime and mostly I hate mystery and anything really that doesn't either have stomach-churning gore or an adorable ship.
Story ~ 7
The lowest scoring one because even I will admit there were some plot holes, the major one being the very driving factor known as 'Revival' which seems a very vague ability and is never really explained but I don't have any major problem with this because, realistically
...
(or as realistic as super powers can get) if you did have such a power no one is gonna drop out of the heavens and explain the ifs and buts about it, I think this anime is actually pretty good at showing how unpredictable and chaotic such a power could be.
Art ~ 9
The art actually bothered me at first because I found that the older women tend to have weird lips but I got used to that and decided it made a bit of sense and started to love the character art and background art used in this anime, especially with the kids. I also love how Kayo mostly looked extremely upset, it suited the character amazingly all things considered.
Sound ~ 9
Soundtrack throughout the anime was pretty good and built the tension well. The opening and ending theme for the anime were also amazing and around the time of episode 7 I was singing along with it.
Character ~ 9
Would have been a 10 because I do think that all of the characters are amazing and deep but it feels like the anime was forcing everyone to be likable. Don't get me wrong I did like them but I kinda got that feeling and that put me off. Anyway, these characters can go from warming your heart to creeping you out or making you feel deeply disturbed in about a minute, daym I wish I had that ability.
Enjoyment ~ 10
The whole time I was completely absorbed in the anime, trying to solve these mysteries as well and guess who the murderer was (got it like 5 episodes before the reveal, still shocked though when all was confessed). I became concerned for characters like Kayo and I probably would have been really upset if some things I suspected to happen had.
So this review was a bit of a 'all aboard the happiness train' but I don't care it was epic. So epic that the opening of episode 10 even did this amazing thing that made me squeal and revel in how clever the anime was. Must watch :D

I found a hentai I actually enjoyed omg let the land rejoice.
Story ~ 8
The story of Pigeon Blood, although weird as fuck, was quite a stable one for a hentai and crossed over nicely with characters that were actually quite unique, t be honest I'm annoyed that we don't learn more about this whole slave sale operation. The secondary story is even more interesting as it focuses around Chris, who has lost his memory and finds himself in possession of a mansion used as a training ground for sex slaves, and a girl desperately seeking refuge, becoming a sex slave to stay in the mansion
Art
...
~ 10
The art used in this was actually pretty good, brutal when it had to be yet also exuding innocence and purity where needed. If anything the art also builds up on the whole story and characters.
Sound ~ 9
Can never say much when it comes to sound as I don't know what to say but hey it made me flinch a whole load.
Character ~ 9
Surprisingly enough the characters in this were absolutely astounding and I was intrigued in nearly all of the them all throughout, especially Elza whose secret actually kinda disappointed me cos I guessed I forgot for a minute I was watching a hentai. The relationship between Chris and some of his 'maids' and 'trainees' is actually really intriguing.
Enjoyment ~ 7
Although a bit confusing at times and disgusting I quite enjoyed Pigeon Blood and would recommend this for someone who is looking for an intriguing plot in hentai, as long as you don't mind the gore that said plot entails.

I'm not going to analyse everything like I do with other anime cos this is sick. I would say hardcore but hardcore mostly has a reason for being that way, this wasn't erotic just sick for the hell of being sick. Cut off their nipples and pull out this weird innard bit kind of sick, sew three penises on her kind of sick.
THIS ANIME DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT BONDAGE MEANS! ALL of this was clearly unwilling as fuck so I don't know why it's called Bondage Game and not just Sex Torture Game. As well as that, fuck physics while we're at it. I know
...
it's anime and it's not realistic but Jesus christ so many casual colossul penises and swelling boobs which I wouldn't have been surprised if they burst.
I would suggest don't watch this unless you are like me in the respect that you just need to know 'how bad can it get?'

WHAT THE F*** IS THIS ANIME?
It is so sick and twisted and sadistic I truly have no words. You lose interest in the erotic aspects of it by just watching these weird pervy men shove their shafts and bulls (?) into tied up girls and try to get as many dongs in one girl as humanly possible.
The second half of this anime is just weird. Maybe you can get aroused by the couple from the first half, I get that, but a girl getting milked? Then these weird creatures just there? Don't watch it is the best advise that I can give regarding this one.

Angel Beats! seems to be dangerous ground to tread for a review seeing as people are either screaming 10! or 3! but as they say YOLO. Of course I was led to watch Angel Beats! by crying otakus and various montages and oww my feels.
Story ~ 6
I'm sorry Angel Beats! The story is quite good when you look at the whole idea of the anime and each characters storylines are amazing, yet attention is drawn away from it far too much with random silliness, and don't just say that's an anime thing. At first the initial path of the anime seems to be dark
...
yet the characters act with complete reckless abandon. Then once we move to the main plot point it's almost as if the events in the previous episode never happened, which makes all my feels and tears FOR NOTHING!!!
Art ~ 9
For some reason I decided to compare the art of this anime to No Game, No Life, but if you think about it there is a similar concept going on. This anime is about a whole other world which (according to the characters) is full of craziness and possibilities, so I don't think the colors should have been as drab and depressing and instead should have been leaning more to the brightness of No Game, No Life.
Sound ~ 10
Ichiban no Takaramono will literally make you cry so if you don't understand my rating go listen to it now. The music is such a beautiful medium for putting across the emotions in this anime. Whenever a heartfelt track even softly began it was enough to make tears well in my eyes, or maybe I'm a softy.
Character ~ 10
There is such amazing character developments throughout this anime and touching relationships. I shipped just about everybody with each other and the relationships were ALWAYS what made me cry. The best thing about the anime is perhaps it's continuous message of friendship prevailing above all else and how your selflessness can mean everything to someone else.
Enjoyment ~ 9
I guess crying a lot means that I enjoyed it in this case. Angel Beats! was able to make me laugh and cry like a newborn baby, which was the first time an anime had done so to me which made it something special in my mind.
Overall ~ 8
Every anime lover should watch Angel Beats! and experience the true torment of happy-sad that this cruel anime puts you through. The concept of the anime is really interesting and the messages that it leaves you with are heartfelt and will truly make you think about life.

Yeah yeah I see the people down there giving this a 3 for overall. I'm rating it so highly as this anime really managed to pull me in and from that I read the manga of No. 6, which is out of this world compared to the anime (which I truly loved)
Story ~ 7
In the show the story is really unclear. It is an interesting plot driver, pulling Nezumi and Shion together (arigato story senpai) but after the first 6 episodes following the story is damn near impossible and instead you move to focusing more on the amazing characters (strangely enough it felt to
...
me like this was done on purpose). No. 6 is set in what seems to be a dystopian world following warfare/natural disaster/*insert world builder here* and is falling apart because of the BEEESSS. Or that's all you're able to glean from the anime regarding the story anyway.
Art ~ 9
All of the character designs are beautiful in a modest way without the need for Yu-Gi-Oh haircuts to make their faces memorable. The scenery within this anime is both intriguing and rather portraying of the world's state, managing to go from beautiful and orderly cities within the walls of No.6 to the ruins of a city outside. Towards the end of the anime this beautiful art is used to make a devastating impact on the viewer and succeeds in showing the cruelty of this world.
Sound ~ 9
The most played song on my playlist emerged from this anime. The OST used in the anime is memorable and touching, with many songs included in the anime (mostly through Nezumi) and used in character development in an astounding manner. Truly beautiful and addictive music, maybe the second most memorable part of this anime.
Character ~ 10
MY FIRST TEN! I considered the characters to be the best part of this anime, both the growth that they go through and the building of relationships between characters both rich and poor. Of course the two most memorable are Shion and Nezumi (of course he's interesting, he's called Rat!). Among them though is an array of charming supporting cast that are memorable and intriguing (especially Inukashi). They all literally pulled at my heartstrings about five times each during the anime. Don't even worry about the abused story line, these characters are enough to keep you hooked.
Enjoyment ~ 9
Before it would have been a 10 despite the odd plot because no anime has made me shriek from both joy and horror as much, but then I read the manga and every time I rewatch the anime it seems clearly inferior. I still believe this anime should have been an OST instead of a full series just to lure people into the manga but I got to watch some cute scenes between the confusion so I will accept this.
Overall ~ 9
Again I am rating this so highly as it leads you to the manga, which is amazing, and because of the absolutely remarkable characters. This was one of the first anime I watched and truly hooked me to the life of an otaku. I believe that this is a must-watch, even if only for the characters and relationships.

My first hentai anime and I started with this one. This was recommended to me under the genre of a 'horror' anime (?). So I watched it expecting a horror anime and the least I can say is that I received a HORRIFIC anime.
Story ~ 4
This kind of tricked me into believing I was watching just a horror anime as oppose to a hentai. The first scene of this anime is a girl being electrocuted to death because she won't comply to this weird hentai game which is being observed by everyone. Also, I guess because it follows a visual novel which probably
...
has different endings, the story changes a lot which confused me. As well as this the anime ends rather abruptly, just in case you are planning to get into this one.
Art ~ 6
Sure the characters are cute and the main guy can look both clueless and menacing as needed so I'll give a six. I guess the art detail is good for the sex scenes maybe, I wouldn't really know I don't tend to view things such as what happens in Euphoria. Nice graphic hentai if that's what you want.
Sound ~ 6
I didn't know what to give here. The music kind of builds up to each sickening scene and every moment of 'deliberation and decision'. Not much to say here but it didn't make me cringe so I put the score a little above average.
Character ~ 7
From the rest of my review this rating seems laughable. No I haven't gone insane, I did quite like some of the character complexes, like Byakuya's. A few of the characters were built up but this inevitably led to them crashing down to the rank of submissive and mindless. The main character has a strange sadist complex which he wants to repress but can't manage it, which piqued my interest but this is hentai so why would he overcome it?
Enjoyment ~ 6
Purely because the awkward dialogue and stupidity of the fickle girls made me laugh at times. They sincerely go from 'My purity!' to 'Use me as you wish master' in ten seconds. Again I know it is hentai and I'm not going to see strong female characters too often but it was extremely unrealistic, which also allowed me to detach myself from the whole thing.
Overall ~ 5
The anime is quite unclear at times but as I said before I believe it was following the alternate endings of a visual novel. For some reason they put in the plot of a forced sex hunger games type thing yet don't explain it. I know hentai isn't renowned for outstanding plot but c'mon you can't put that in and leave it! If you're into sadism and the mistreatment of women (and them eventually enjoying it) I guess this is the anime for you :)
