OH MY GOD
THIS MANGA IS HEAVENLY!
It's so adorable, and it's so wholesome, and at times it's just really saddening!
Picture a male lead, who is a short, adorably naive boy, who is just raised alone, by himself, lonely, and with one vision in mind, to become his parents succession.
Now, picture someone of the opposite status, enter that picture and change it slowly!
This is exactly that! It's a journey from one end of the universe to the other. For our Male Lead ZEN, to traverse the depths of despair and loneliness, into a world of sociality, love, compassion, and a "new feeling".
I highly recommend this to
...
all!! It's really really adorable, I LOVE how the ML is actually shorter/younger than the FL (female lead)! It just makes it more adorable.
Also the ML is "OP", in the sense of ALL-AROUND-GOOD at everything. And just reading/watching the struggles just fuels my love for his growth even more!

This manwha (korean manga it seems), is incredible!
The overall atmosphere and aspects it covers, that range from dark to humorful in the realm of reality & how real suicide is (yes it can be humorful to an extent, a very..strange, unique extent).
Here you have a boy, who appears to be young, yet is 17, who encounters a world of hurt every single day, every step of the way. He tries and tries to commit the deed, but fails inevitably due to the fears and pains that said deed comes with it.
Eventually, the side characters you'd assume that would come, do show up, but incredibly unexpectedly!
Through
...
it all, our little cinna-roll struggles deeply, and this manga shows it's beauty.
The beauty that such feelings do exist in the world, and are more times than naught, avoided heavily.
There's lots of cringy moments, but so very many wholesome moments, that I really want anyone interested in knowing more of how people who've been depressed and dealt with the struggles of suicide, to check this out!

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this!
I saw it on netflix, and it was truly a great watch.
Here's somethings to help you all see if this is an anime for you!
1. If you've watched Hunter X Hunter, picture this anime just like that, except with girl MC's. There's a Gon, and there's a Killua. There's also a Leorio, Kurapica, and it's exactly like their cast.
2. Picture the setting as the Phantom Troupe in HxH. One group vs the other.
3. Actual Elements:
- Those who wear the mask are then controlled.
- This will inevitably be an anime that revolves around the wearing of a mask, and those
...
who are able to break said mask can become free. It's a wild ride I will say that much, and there are few psychological elements for some of the MC's, which really help keep the atmosphere of this anime HIGH and MIGHTY.
4. There are unfortunately some ecchi moments, but don't be alarmed, they are expected, and sometimes cute.
5. There are tidbits here and there of incredible moments with outstanding characters having a direct impact on the flow of the anime. It's really nice, as it were moments that were truly unexpected.
Overall, this is an anime to watch if you're interested in...
- Dark pasts (that begin to become uncovered throughout the anime)
- Psychological aspects (Things that mess with the minds)
- Action
- Chaotic characters (those that view justice but have a sick mental)
- Adorable Characters (Think of Ran Mao from Kuroshitsuji, or just characters that obey)
- Killugon aspect (friend level) or past that (Yuri, it's implied but not directly).

Strictly from an anime watcher's perspective...
I believe this anime has much potential! It already has graced me with being insane beautiful and full already, but if this is the beginning, then I'm already taken!
-
Overall, I know lots of other manga/LN/WN readers have lost their hopes, but I personally believe this anime is truly wonderful!
-
It starts out with some NEET who is a classic NEET who seems to just be a bum and eat/game/sleep over and over, with the ounces of those weeb dolls here and there.
Also, somewhat like a perv for those anime waifus, but what can you expect? He's a NEET! So yes,
...
we know that.
Eventually, Truck-Kun comes and claims his life, and he's catapulted into a new world.
In this world, he realizes that he has a new life, and wants to start anew. Which is lovely by the way.
While his past haunts him, he still wants to make his new life worth it, and through it all, he makes new friends, continues to have the same PTSD as his past, and takes his life to the fullest. Bringing out the casual pervy-ness his former self had, and, well I guess his "Aged" related character would possess, he continues onwards to shape his destiny, and enjoy his new life!
-
I think that the negative reviews are people stuck in the world of reality, not understanding what anime can do, and the extents of what it can do. With that being said, don't trust those reviews, because I, as an anime watcher (and soon to pick up the manga) am totally on board with this anime, and encourage anyone else out there to watch it!
It's truly amazing, the scenes are beautiful, the fight scenes are brilliantly animated, and overall it's just a gorgeous piece!

Okay boys (and girls) get ready for a very honest review!
Summary:
Jibaku Shounen, ties in many underlying genres that can really mess with the audience's feelings.
If you've ever seen say, Kuroshitsuji, Pandora Hearts, Nanastu no Taiza, that zombie cute anime...(forgot the name), you'll understand where I'm getting at.
Very Dark, twisted, Fantasy, with the slice of comedy to really mess with the peoples feelings.
There are elements in this anime that will literally make you cry, make you angry, sad, frustrated, cheerful, practicaly everything, WITH the slice of AWESOME combat scenes!
-
It's literally, a twisted anime, that has everything you could ever want, except for MORE EPISODES, UGHH.
-
I was
...
actually a tad bit worried due to the art, but after 10 minutes, I became enveloped by the story, and the hidden gems it possesses.
It's so dark. It's so so dark, but just such a masterpiece! UGH. WHY DOESN'T IT HAVE MORE EPISODES?!
At least the Manga is still continuing (at this moment!)

I Laughed, Cried, Wanted something (or someone) to Hug, And episode after episode, i could not wait until i saw the next.
Gakuen Alice is true-ly a masterpiece.
Some people drop the anime because of it's childish element. But let me say this once, IT. IS. NOT. CHILDISH. There are so many dark moments in this anime, that will honestly tear you to pieces and make you cry. If you have a heart that is, and I am pretty strong when it comes to that stuff, but this anime broke that barrier. On-wards to the Review!
-
Story: 10/10
Honestly, what goes on in the first TWO episodes
...
will probably make people drop this anime, but if you get past that...you'll love this anime. It has really dark spots in the anime, and really isn't meant towards the 'shoujo' group. It's towards everyone so if you're a guy and you want to watch this, watch it. It's worth it.
The Story goes on about Mikan Sakura moving to follow her 'best friend', who has recently been anounced as one of the 'Alice's.' So she had to transfer schools, leaving the normal school and into a 'magical' school. Mikan follows her (secretly) and the story goes on from there. How her world filled with the 'norm', has been switched with the 'magical'. From there on we learn about our new characters, and what goes on in their lives / Mikans.
Art: 6/10
Seeing how this anime was made in 2005 ish, it kind of reminds me of an anime that i watched jsut prior to this. The OHSHC. Yes, i watched that and came straight to this, nothing much of a change except for the age difference. The art is very similar, infact each anime were made around the same time. The art isn't something to be so happy about, however considering it being in the early 2000s, it's pretty good. How the artist was so creative at designing the 'dark points', in the story. And going about to expand it throughout the anime is a real shocker, - in a good way.
Overall for the ART, it's very good for being in 2005. The characters all have the 'outter' details that we all know and love. Ranging from giant smiles, to interesting physique, to our famous tragic pasts.
Sound: 8/10
The sound isn't that wonderful, however at certain points in the anime it certainly does show its true colors. When the happy spirit comes along, we hear a tune that 100% suits it. And the same goes for the dark times, it's all nearly perfect.
Character: 10/10
I ABSOLUTELY Love the characters. The characters all have their traits, and are all different! It's not like the annoying ones that you see in those anime's that want to just annoy the crap out of you, it's one of those anime's where they make each character unique. For Instance, our MC Mikan is a, cry baby, energetic, overly happy, kid. Who inspires others around her to never give up, never let anything get you down. Although she cries alot, it's about the little things, to her at least. To many people, the things that bother them don't even bother Mikan. It's truely magnificent. There's our other MC's Ruka & Natsume + Hotaru. They all have their own perfect personalities that are probably each and every one of us / at least a side of us. Dark/Angry yet soft on the inside, or Supportive in a way that it looks feircesome but yet soft and quickly warms out to people. Or just plain old gloomy, yet doesn't know how to show their feelings to people but truely cares about those close to them and would do everything in their power to help them when they absolutely need it.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. It honestly brings me tears of joy. The anime depicts the characters as kids, yet the things they go through is so....not 'childish'. They're just children, yet have the jobs of people much older, young adults even. It's unreal how well the anime turned out, and it deserves so much more. The inspiration, the laughs, the cries, the joyous memories that this anime brings me, is just too much for me to hold in.
Overall: 10/10
The anime is so perfect, i wish there were much more episodes. It deserves so much more, too bad it's one of those anime's that don't have a second season. I was very disappointed at when i found out about it, but . . . it was so awesome. It deserves so much man!! The characters, the things they went through, their struggles, their transformations, going from the darkest pit, to the surface. It's just amazing. And it holds action, which i love! Really! It's just amazing, and no it's not about action, it has action. IT HAS - "H.A.S" is what i mean.
So, i hope you guys check out this anime, it's honestly one of my top 5 favorite anime out there, i wish i didn't drop it so early when i first heard about it.

Another Wonderful Piece made by Madhouse. This Anime conjures up the needles and threads about 'Death', into one entertaining, addicting, irresistible show! Going through the start of 'Death', and making it's way towards the end of it, it is certainly one of a kind.
-
Story: 10/10
Even though some people say that 'this story isn't getting anywhere because it's in a bar', has no right to say that. Just because an anime is secluded in a small area, doesn't mean it doesn't go anywhere. The story goes through people's 'death' and explains it from start to finish, through mesmerizing scenes. It does it in such a way
...
that it both benefits from entertaining it's viewers, and showing what actually happened.
Art: 10/10
I am such a fan of art, i love cute anime's with awesome art. And I totally have noticed it in this anime as well! Sure it's not...specifically cute, but it is still AWESOME art! Definite 10/10!
Sound: 10/10
Oh man, what marvelous music! The soundtracks are so ... so...befitting of the anime! When it comes into 'mysterious' scene, the music they chose fits it so perfectly! It's truely amazing.
Character: 9/10
The characters could have had a little bit of help, maybe in 'growth', but then again it's not one of those anime's that focus on Character Development, more like 'Summarizing' the Characters. However, it still has great characters, i love them all!
Enjoyment: 9/10
The way how the flow of the anime, it's just so soothing and relaxing, and then when the B.A. scenes come in, it's like WHAM! right in your face, and it's like you're experiencing what the characters experiencing! I'm so amazed that they've actually been able to Make it seem like its First Person.
Overall: 10/10
This anime certainly deserves to have a high Rating. It's both 'educational' (to the extent of it not being academic educational, but educational in a way that it explains what goes on in a very entertaining way, you won't get bored of it!) and cinematic! It's not like those kind of anime's that explain things like they're writing on a chalkboard, no. It's one of those anime's that grabs you and throws you into the anime, guiding you through what goes on and this and that, it's really amazing.

Btooom! 12 Episodes Long.
"Kill or Be Killed", Or "Lets work together and Survive!"
At first i thought that this anime was going to be a complete joke. Your average "Damsel in Distress", and "Prince Charming". But wow, was i wrong. There is so much Emotion, the plot twists are amazing, The characters are breath taking! This anime has it all, and all of it is in the little 12 episodes! I Literally One-Sat it all, in the past 4 hours i've watched all 12 episodes. I've had no background information about this except for the few reviews that were recommened to me by different anime. That
...
is how amazing this anime is.
-
Story: 9/10
Starting off with your MC, you see him waking up in some sort of different "land" than he should be! And from then, you "hear" his reactions, which tell you that "OH This voice acting is just Perfect! I won't get annoyed by their voices..Phew!"
So with that out of the picture, the story follows as one of your regular Survivor Anime's. Kill or be Killed. That's the motto that is flowing through the character's mind.
Slowly, Ryouta begins his journey and meets new people. However having lost his memories somehow, he recieves help; which is very rare. With the new people he's meeting, he goes on an adventure to try and find a way how to outsmart the game. Leaving behind a ton of plot twists, Empathetic moments, Amazing Fights, And strategic gameplay!
-
Art: 10/10
This art is WAY better than most anime's out there! Every bit of detail everywhere! Where you have your average anime show a character in distress with very little details on their faces/aura, you have Btooom! With AMAZING details EVERYWHERE, Be it wrinkles (in the right places), Gorey Injuries, or even Traumatic Moments in characters Past. They certainly depicted everything with such emotion and thought.
-
Sound: 9/10
I'm usually not a fan of Music, but the music added in for the action scenes/happy scenes/sad scenes certainly took my breath away. You'd think they'd play the same soundtrack throughout each episode? Hah! No way! They've made the music fit Perfectly with the scenes they deserved. Very well done for the music.
-
Character: 10/10
The character development was OUTSTANDING! For just 12 episodes, i thought much less was going to be given to us, But man was i wrong. The development is so well-done. It shows you the characters background, and how it impacts them in the present time. It really made me just want to jump into my screen and hug them! It's so good, like words can NOT even describe it! For example, Kousuke Kira, ( don't worry no spoilers will be shown!) is just one of those characters that deserves the spotlight. Being thrown into a situation, with the disgusting horros of his past. . and then chucked into a new reality, and how the Actor voices him is just the definition of PERFECTION! And this goes for all of the characters! It's just perfect!!
-
Enjoyment: 10/10
Overall, This anime was very realistic. I could take in many situations and put them into my own real life. I Enjoyed every bit of that. When it comes to whether an anime fits your perspectives this anime has it in the Bag! The anime deserves so much more, It's too bad that the general summary of this anime is based off of Games. If it was something like adventure that didn't have to be limited to Gaming rules then maybe it would've got a lot of better reviews. However, do NOT let it hold you against watching this! It's just a short 12 episode Anime, which deserves to be watched by everyone! Atleast the first 4 episodes, that's just a small hour-ish. Give it a chance if you're not fond of gaming anime's, because i for sure am NOT a fan of gaming anime's, but this was an exception.
-
Overall: 9/10
Overall, this anime is a masterpiece. However it did not recieve a 10 from me, only because of it's ending. Like most Masterpiece anime's, they start off with a bang then fall off towards the end. HOWEVER! This anime's ending isn't like what I usually see. The ending was very trustworthy and I do hope it gets a second season! It deserves so much. The manga is still continueing i think, and the wiki on the characters are still being updated so you will still love your characters even after the anime is finished!
I hope you all will enjoy this anime. Even if gaming Anime's aren't your thing, I'm pretty sure this anime will be one that you'll remember.

This anime is 12 episodes long. It's fast paced with lots of action scenes, sarcastic moments, sad moments, pretty much everything. When i first saw the first episode i knew i was going to enjoy this anime. It has that compassion side towards it, where not many action anime's have it so early into the anime.
Story 9/10
I've rated the story 9/10 because for starters, it's 12 episodes long. It's fast paced which i like especially for a short series. The plot makes sense, and the pace is very smooth.
Art 10/10
The art you see in this anime may remind you of the newer animes, like
...
Hamatora or Jormungand. They spice up the art to look exactly what you'd want! For an evil bad guy, or a good guy with hatred in his soul, they certainly focus to bring out the key details to make you want to go, "WOW This anime Has it!"
Sound 10/10
I love the OST's. It's so filling, with every battle scene the background music is insane! Legit hype. Definitely lives up to having one of the best OST's out there.
Character 7/10
The character development is fairly decent. At first you have your Main character, (DONT WORRY NO SPOILERS!) Who's trying to find his power. How do they go upon this? Well...he meets new people, and blah blah blah. . It goes on from there! I rated this a 7/10 solely because of how they went about to show how he develops, mainly towards the acting part and just...the way how they did it.
Enjoyment 10/10
I solely enjoyed this anime to the fullest! I've watched it all and I Absolutely Love it! It's just like Hamatora, HxH 2011, A hint of DBZ maybe, Jormungand, basically it's an all around perfect anime! Obviously there's more anime's i can name that are similar to this one, but that would just make this review too long xD.
Overall 10/10
Yes it's true, a 10/10 Anime! Whoever watches this anime will come out loving it! The art, the humor, the plot, the characters, everything! Well. . . what really caught my attention was how the characters acts towards one another. It's not that usual anime where if somethings bothering one of our MC's, the other MC will just be like, oh, okay well hope you get better. NO! It's more than that! Its...Its...ART!

A Young Boy must take revenge upon the one who has killed his sister, marked his face, and destroyed his pride. Along the way, he meets new people who at first, he thought of annoying, but has grown towards them and considered them his family. Moving along the story, he meets villains who, are not your average 'villain'. Actually, said villains have a certain background that one would not be able to fathom.
Story: 9/10
The Story seems to revolve around boobs, boobs, and more boobs! But actually, that doesn't really have anything to do with the story. Certainly, boobs are in the story, but they
...
aren't the main focus. It's somewhat annoying In My Opinion, to see boobs jiggling, but they give you a good laugh to try and take your mind off it and focus more on the story (i've easily been able to do that).
Anyways, basically this story is about a Qwaser, and it's Maria. The Qwaser is the controller of an element, and the Maria is the one who supplies the Qwaser of his or her powers. There's Many of these "Qwasers". and Our Main Character, Alexander Nikloviech, A.K.A. Sasha, meets many of them, some friends, and some foes.
I've grown to love the story, mostly annoying a bunch of the Ecchi-ness of it, although i do like some of it, made me laugh :).
The "Art".10 /10
The art is very good! I love it all, it's not like your old/average art, it's more like a very new-ish art. Very Detailed, and i'm very sure the Makers certainly focused on that part xD.
Sound. 10 / 10
The Sound is very enjoyable, i loved the OST's, especially when the 'Battle' Music starts, Man! Did that get my heart pumpin'!
Character: 10
There is alot of Character Development in this anime, it's not your average 7 episodes per character to find out it's development, it's more like a 1 episode that focuses on the character & the others. It's very well organized and i applaud the producers for their well-done work! Seeing how this season 1 anime is only 24 episodes long, They've done a Marvelous job at organizing each and every one of the characters! (Main, not really the side ones-which is supposed to be how it goes).
Because many of the characters have either a tragic, or dark past, The development is really astounding! It talks about their past, and switches back and forth between past and present, showing off how they all react towards it. I really enjoyed it, seeing how i'm one for animes with tragic pasts/...Anything related to their past that they'd wish to fix.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I seriously did enjoy this anime. It was very well-done In My Opinion, although. . . they could lessen the Ecchi, some of it wasn't necessary, although i could see that they were trying to buff it up for those who are into Ecchi.
Overall:
All-Around, this anime was a total 10/10! My only problem would be a,
-"Too Much Ecchi"- For me LoL.
