This review comes from a long-time Pretty Cure fan who barely watches the latest seasons (yes, if I recall correctly, the last series I watch is Healing Good). If you just want to relieve old memories and have a bit of nostalgia, you'll like this spin-off. Yes! Precure 5 and the GoGo series are some of my favorites among all franchises (followed by Futari wa and Max Heart a.k.a the OG). Seeing the girls (and boys) are all grown-ups really brings all the nostalgia. I actually like the idea of portraying several problems that might occur to someone when they reach adulthood. It really gives
...
the feel that these girls have really grown up, still chasing their ultimate dreams with bumps on the road here and there. But for me, Syrup's glow-up is the cherry on top of this series (wink wink).
Do I have high expectations for this spin-off? Not really. This is just my honest opinion and preference, but early Precure seasons are much better plot-wise, which is why I don't expect any "good" plot for this. The plot is so-so, the basic Precure plotline but shortened. Don't expect all that fighting and battle plots for sure, but there are a decent amount of those. The animation is somewhat worse than the regular Precure series, especially the CGI. Precure has been improving their CGI and animation quality throughout the years and it's a bummer they kind of flop on this one.
One last thing is that I don't know why they left out Nagisa, Honoka, and Hikari's life as adults (I mean, they're the legendary OG first-ever Cures?! Should I make a petition for another spin-off for them...). This might be a bit biased but I was REALLY looking forward to seeing them as adults as much as the others.

TMM New REALLY is a whole new roller coaster ride.
Yes, this is a continuation of my review of the first season and I can say that the second season really made me warm and fuzzy. I'll try to be less detailed so I hope I don't spoil anything. Plot-wise, the initial plot is pretty much still the same and they managed to deliver it in a new and exciting way. Though it's a bummer that they left out certain plots and elements, I love how they bring out several details that were not properly delivered in the original series. The character improvement for each character
...
also is one of the things that I really like about this reboot. I love how Zakuro feels much more "alive" and expressive in the reboot series, still showing some coolness but also being mature and a much older sister-like figure for the gang. Lettuce's character development is also one of the best things from this reboot series, I love how they show her improvement and gaining confidence slowly.
Best of all, I love how they also tell us the background of why the aliens attacked Earth along with the aftermath of their attacks. That is one of the things that is missing from the original series and one of the things I always want to see. Overall, yes it is VERY much different from the original series. But I do enjoy it very much because instead of just copying and pasting everything from the original series, they recreate the story in a new and exciting way while filling us in with some missing plots and elements that were not shown in the original series. True, those new plots and elements might not be "canon" from the manga. But still, I think it's a great way to show us more sides of each character.
Honestly, I thought I'll hate this reboot so much but I ended up loving it. I would rewatch this again someday in the future for sure. Even with all those differences, this reboot series still gives me that nostalgic feeling. Last but not least: Chikyuu no Mirai ni, Gohoshi Suru~ Nyan!

As a HUGE fan of Tokyo Mew Mew since years ago, I was super excited when they announced its remake. Having TMM as one of my childhood anime made me have high expectations for this. To be 100% honest, the first episode REALLY disappoints me. I honestly watched the first episode when it first aired and dropped the whole series right away. Why? The opening plot is very different from the original series. I know that this is something that I should be expecting but I was really disappointed since there are some elements and/or plots that are missing. It just felt wrong.
I finally brace
...
myself to rewatch TMM New several months after its release. For the first 4-5 episodes, I was still not a big fan of it. The introduction plot is pretty rushed and they do remove certain important parts that I really like from the original series. Though, now I'm not that surprised since the total episode (this and the second season) is pretty much half of the original series. Although, it'll be great if they can keep most of those plots from the original series. After finishing the first season, I can say that this remake is pretty recommended to watch! True, if you are a sucker for the original series, you might feel some disappointment. But this remake series does put us in a different perspective of the story. I really like how each main character has some sort of character background and development, instead of just focusing on Ichigo. One of the things that I really like is how they make Zakuro seems a bit easier to approach if compared to the original series. Don't get me wrong, I love Zakuro's character from the original series. But making her a bit warmer and approachable does create a whole new vibe for the team.
Overall, if you compare this and the original series, this one does feel more rushed plot-wise. There are also some slight changes here and there which I do mind at first, but as I continue watching it does give me a new sensation when watching the series. I can't wait to finish the second season. From me, you should not expect much from a remake. True that some remakes have the exact same plot as the original one, but having some different plots or elements in the remake series is also a pretty good thing. If you REALLY love TMM (like me lol), I definitely recommend you give this a shot!

As someone who have watch every single series of Pretty Cure, I should say that HUGtto is one of the best. In my opinion, it has been a while since precure actually have a decent series where they use fist fights and does not too focused on the lead a.k.a pink cure.
The story keeps getting better and involves not only on Hana. I am very pleased that other cures also got man chances to shine. Not only one or two, but each also got their own "highlight" on the opening and ending. If you miss watching a precure series with some fist fights, not only
...
relying on magic, you will like this because it reminds me to the early precure series. The theme itself is very unique an fun. The most important part and my favorite highlight, romance. There are some hinted romance and I don't think I'm the only one who has been waiting for precure to bring back romance to their series. So the two things I really love about this series are the fist fights and romance. Because those are what makes precure fun and not boring.
There are still some elements that are similar with the other precure series. Some of it I do like it and some not. What I sort of dislike about this series is the attacks. The attacks are too similar with some previous series attacks and I was hoping they come up with something new.
The art style is somewhat similar with Yes! Precure 5 mixed with a bit of DokiDoki precure. But a bit more modernized.I can't say I'm a big fan of the cures design, but they are not that bad. As for characters, each are very unique and has their own place to shine. All cures are also each have some unexpected sides of their characters which is fun. Its pretty rare to see that in latest precure series. Overall, I really enjoy HUGtto precure and have high expectations for it.

If you love food and porn, this is the anime for you. Well, it is not THAT kind of porn (of course). But porn that's used to describe food, everything about food from its taste, texture, depths and origins. Just watching it makes your saliva drops even when you just ate.
The story is simple, yet outstanding. A simple boy thrown into an elite culinary school and turns out, he succeed in making everyone amazed. Though, it is not just that. It's also mixed with other characters background and stories and each of their connection with food. How Souma makes rivalry with outstanding chefs, each with
...
their own powers. A lot of unexpected turn of events are blown into your face.
I personally liked the art style. Modern and amazing, yet funny and hilarious. How each character is designed amazingly, they mixed it with some cartoon and chibi theme which is very nice. The sound is also mentionable. The sizzling pan, the boiling soup, knives cutting and sound of each bite from the foods makes you hungry every episode.
The characters is nice and all, but I do feel some cliche in some aspects. Erina the princess type, Megumi the quite shy type, Takumi the confidence rival type, Isshiki the calm peculiar type, Hisako the loyal princess type and many others. Though each have their own uniqueness which good.
Overall, it is very enjoyable to watch. This anime has been on my PTW list for so long and I'm very satisfied that I finally decided to watch it and did not regret a thing. I plan to read the continuation on the manga probably.

As a huge fan of Naruto for years, I have great excitement for this. True, the end of Naruto is a pain and happiness is many fans heart for it feels something like "finally... everything is over..." and "please don't go just yet..."
Unlike Naruto, Boruto feels more "light" in the story. Perhaps its only because its just the beginning of Boruto's life. But I sort of recall that Naruto has intense and deep episodes such as things that happened in Chuunin Exams. I don't feel the same...UGH feeling as Naruto. But, Boruto is very enjoyable and heartwarming seeing our childhood shinobi has grown up and
...
have their own next generations. Even though I said "light", I do have a feeling that the story will get more intense and mysterious as it goes on. But for now, its a light and fun anime to enjoy while relaxing.
The art is not so similar with Naruto's first seasons. Of course their style changed bit by bit following the time. No huge difference though, but the style is definitely more "modern" and new for Konoha is already improved by the time. Still funny how they got some sort of PSP and games like that. The sounds are still as great as ever, the theme songs or background music.
Do I suggest you watch Boruto when you never watch / read Naruto? Not really. It is on a whole different story with whole different main characters, though many of Naruto casts are still on the list. But, I feel that you will only get the enjoyment of watching it rather than a more of "blooming" feelings(?). If you watch or read Naruto before, watching this will feel like remembering and comparing how Naruto used to be and we feel and know the hard work of all shinobi to create this peace era. Also the proud, happy, sad and excited feelings every time Naruto who becomes the Hokage is more mature and serious than he used to be appeared on the episode.

Basically this is the story from Suwa's point of view and some continuation after they save Kakeru.
If you love Orange anime, you should try and watch this. If you LIKE the anime but not the kind of like that you want to watch it again, don't.
The movie is more like an explanation of how the letters got into the past, what happened after they save Kakeru, what they write in the letters. I personally like this movie for I always wonder about those many things (especially how the letters are sent to the past) after I watch the anime. I have watch the anime again
...
and still loving it. If you're not the type that enjoys watching after stories for 1 hour, don't watch. I suggest you find spoilers or ask someone about the movie and what happen in the future etc etc.
I find that the movie is much more heartbreaking that the anime. Why? Because it tells the "truth" from another person, Suwa, point of view. How big he actually involved in making this happen and how sad is his love story.

If you never play the game, DO NOT watch this for the story starts in the middle part of the game story. I do write a small synopsis before the events on the very last paragraph.
The first thing I want to comment is the art. I surprisingly very pleased with the design and animation. I thought it would look not as good as the pictures, but each character is very amazingly created to life. Of course, not all characters made it into the anime but still, it is understandable.
I was also shocked how the voices are pretty good, considering it's a Korean anime. If you
...
never watch Korean drama/movie/songs/cartoons, you may feel a bit odd hearing it. But since Elsword itself is made by Korea, of course the anime most likely to have Korean voice.
I am pretty disappointed of how everyone except Lu & Ciel are shown in their special class. Each character's chosen class for this anime if very fitting along with their background. I do wish they also give Lu and Ciel's appearance in their special class, which I most likely think its going to be Noblesse. Maybe its just me, but even seeing them fight makes my heart says that LuCiel are "weak" for they are not in their chosen paths while others have. If you play the game you might understand me.
Now, for the small synopsis. BEWARE SOME SPOILERS THOUGH.
The anime itself starts in the middle of Hamel arc and continues until Lanox arc. Not surprised since that's where most characters finally gathered, excluding Rose and Ain.
Elsword is a boy who trains sword. At first, its only him, Aisha and Rena who travels Elrios for the El. They are called El Search Party. In the early Altera arc, they met Raven who joined them and Eve in the end of Altera arc. They soon meet Elesis and they goes on until Hamel which where the story begins. Just play the game in my suggestion~

Hal tells about a unique love between human and robot. At first when I was watching this movie, my thoughts are "uh, okay... this is a pretty uninviting opening". But I continue watch it and started to like it, though it was pretty boring at some parts. And just when it happens. When the climax happens, it flipped my thoughts 360 degrees.
The story is beautiful. Its happy and funny, yet sad at the same time. Love stories involving between life and death, or when two people in love can never be together because of the plot twist. Like this, a human and a robot.
The
...
art is very pleasing and I personally really love it. I always love Sakisaka Io's design (Ao Haru Ride). Though, Kurumi really reminds me of Futaba while Hal reminds me of Kou. Still love it though.
The ending song is also one of my good point. I really like it and everytime I hear it again, my heart becomes...heavy? sad? happy? because of the tragic love story.

I was never a big fan of yuri, but as I stumbled on this manga, I got curious and happy that I gave this manga a shot.
I always thought Yuri are not that enjoyable since quite some Yuri themed manga are a bit crap. But this one, is one of the best Yuri manga I have ever read.
It tells about to girls with polar opposites personality and yet, share something similar. What fun is that its pretty steamy and cute, but also not very smutty. It tells us more about the relationship rather than just giving smutty Yuri scenes on each chapter. It tells on
...
each character's background, relationships and things that related to the main characters.
The art is reaaaally good. I always have some fond on anime or manga with good art. The art suits each character really well and very enjoyable.
