Both are movies (yep.) Both are the similar type of romance, a heartwarming and bittersweet romance with a lot of surprises. Both involves a couple who are at lost of each other. Body swapping in Kimi no Na wa & robotic human in Hal. Both females are the similar type and both are dearly connected to the male protagonists. Both involves life, death, time and memories. DIFFERENCE : Hal is more calm oriented than Kimi no Nawa. Hal is also more realistic and possible. Kimi no Nawa is more funny and interesting. Kimi no Nawa is like making the impossible possible while Hal is turning the possible upside down.

Death Parade

Both are in a world between life and death, afterlife. In Death Parade, the "guests" came to play a game where their lives are at stake. In Angel Beats the guests become students of a school. But both people are similar. All are dead, they can't remember their name or how they got in there, they got no memories of their deaths and all are pretty much invulnerable. Death Parade may took some plot seriously, deeply and darker that Angel Beats. Angel Beats is not as dark, but took every person background deeply. Though, there are much more comedies and cracks on Angel Beats.

Both have a similar vibe. The fantasy... supernatural vibe. Both connected with amnesia. Sure, you may figure it out from the title, but in Death Parade, the "guests" are also have temporary amnesia of their names and memories. In Death Parade, there are several people with amnesia while in Amnesia it features one protagonist who got amnesia of her life. While Death Parade conducts in life and death, Amnesia is a girl trying to go back to her reality. Oh, also something not very important. Both have their main characters unnamed. In Amnesia the girl is never introduced but known as "Heroine" while in Death Parade the girl cannot remember her name and labeled as "Black Haired Woman". Though in Death Parade, the girl's name will be revealed.

OHMYGOSH! This are the very first thing that came across my mind when I watch this. Both anime are in the magical girl realm which involves 5 members in somewhat different ages who transformed into magical girl. Both are sweets/food related. All cures/mews are connected into a certain sweets. Like in their names, birth name and transformed alter ego. Both are animal related. Each cures/mews are 'fused' with an animal when they transformed and have that animal figure / traits. Though different in each series. Both 5 main girls work in a cafe (I think they do in kirakira). Like, both series have connection or special place in a cafe/sweet shop.

I do not really know how both similar actually, but I just feel that both anime has that 'feels' to it. Both centers a male protagonist who have 3 close friends (2 females and 1 male). Similarities between the characters are like Manaka (NagiAsu) and Kaori (KimiUso), both are the 'closest' to the male protagonist (Hikari/Arima) and both have similar personality. Then Chisaki (Nagi Asu) and Tsubaki (Kimi Uso) are both close with the male protagonist since little and have feelings for him (kinda). Both animes also very calm and soothing, but funny and exciting as well. Watch it, you will never regret it!

Both are very dramatic and has a bit of fantasy and sci fi. Both also very calm and soothing to watch. Both anime are telling about people who got 'abilities' like switching places (kimi no na wa) and other powers (charlotte). Both anime involves comet. In kimi no na wa, the comet is something that become the trigger of the whole story. In charlotte, the comet named charlotte is the one that gives abilities to teenagers which is the main of the story.

Both have the same romantic comedy genre to it. Both involves a main female protagonists who interact with a male protagonist who have similarities. Shizuku and Misaki are both have younger siblings and live with only one parent (mom for misaki and dad for shizuku). Haru and Takumi are both living 'alone' with their parents unknown and they share a similar trait as a person who like to tease some people. Both also have a 'rival'. Both have another male friend who share the same goofy but supportive trait. (Sasayan and Hinata in this case).
