We know that middle age is often a dull and relatively lethargic phase of human life. And, this manga not only potrays middle age life for an average man, but it sheds light on a darker side of life in general.
The storyline of the manga is a direct sequel to the original Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa. After the events of its prequel, the protagonist Kurosawa wakes up from a coma after eight years. His life is messed up, he's without a job. And he doesn't even have a home to rest in. So he starts a new life. A life of a homeless man at the
...
hefty age of 54. There, he befriends a relatively younger and smarter guy who he refers to as "Sensei".
The story so far is pretty straight forward and direct. But it allows the reader to take a step back and experience a moment of introspection. The appeal of the story is symbolic, rather than being direct. The mangaka, Nobuyaki Fukumoto refers to the protagonist as "The Strongest man on Earth", which itself possesses a dual nature being symbolic as well as an irony.
The character development so far is pretty intriguing as well. We get more insight to Kurosawa. The character of sensei got a really good introduction as well. We see a lot of depth to his homeless lifestyle and his sanity pertaining to humanity.
Fukumoto features his unique art style. The same art style can be seen in various other famous works such as Akagi or Kaiji. It's not the best art style. But it really stands out and mostly rotates in the reverse direction with humanity being the frame of reference. Hence, it often goes in perfect sync with the nature of the story.
Overall, Shin Kurosawa: Saikyou Densetsu is an excellent ongoing manga which is highly underrated and under-appreciated. It is definitely worth reading provided you enjoyed the prequel.

A nail bitting psychological thriller without any supernatural elements. A Must watch.
Story: First, let me give you a brief about the story. It's main protagonist is a Japanese doctor, Dr. Kenzo Tenma. He's an excellent neurosurgeon and life's going in a perfect way. One rainy night, he falls into a complex fork. He was going to operate on a ten year old boy who has a gunshot in his head. Then, he gets instruction from the director to save a critically wounded mayor. Dr. Tenma believes in the theory all lives are equal. He makes up his mind and saves the boy with a lot
...
of hardwork. Then various unusual events arouse. Obvoiusly I won't spoil it. Reviewing the story, I'd say it's brilliant . The story is like an epic jigsaw puzzle with the central piece missing . The piece only comes up at the end of the story and makes everything feel complete. The plot also has references to literature and psychology. It has various lines which will leave you thinking for days. The main antagonist of the plot is Johan Liebert. He compromised most of the plots's psychology. The story is a masterpiece. One of the best stories I've come across not only in anime, but also in my entire life. It's a classic example of perfection.
Story Rating: 10/10
Characters: The story has a LOT of characters. Most of the characters have been majorly touched in the storyline. You'll feel as if the characters are real. By saying this, I'm not exaggerating. Dr. Tenma as a central protagonist is perfect. MonsTer showed how a succesful Neurosurgeons life drastically changed. The supporting characters are Dieter, Wolfgang Grimmer, Inspector Lunge of the B.K.A, Nina Fortner. They were pretty likeable and intersting characters. But the most important character of this show is Johan Liebert. Johan has to be the best anime villian. Most villians are aggresive, hot headed and masculine. But Johan's only weapon is the monster inside him. You'll realise more when you watch the anime. He is kind and cruel. Ironic huh? But true. Johan increased the epicness of this nail bitting thriller. I can't pick out any flaw in character development.
Characters: 10/10
Sound(Voice Acting+Music): I watched the English dub. It was rather flawless. I liked every single characters voice. My favourite was that of Johan. His voice expressed his calm. All characters could express their emotions. Especially Nina's voice. Getting to the music part, it was okayish. The music felt good during the show but it didn't make me want to hear it after the show. It could have been better IMO. Just my opinion.
Sound: 8/10
Artwork: It was pretty good. The drawings were sharp and the animations were almost fluid. The faces and eyes could clearly speak the emotions of the characters.
Artwork: 8.5/10.
Conclusion: AWESOME. Has to be one of the best anime ever made. Definitely the best psychological thriller. Light years ahead of the other psychological thriller animes I watched. Naoki Urasawa is a legendary mangaka.
Overall: 9/10

Believe it or not, Clannad changed my life. It's so wonderful, I can't really describe it with mere words.
-Story:
.Setting: Clannad revolves around a male protagonist Tomoya Okazaki who hates his everyday life. But his life changes after he meets Nagisa Furukawa, who is actually one year senior to him but is repeating due to illness. After they meet, both of their lives take a three sixty degree turn.
.Review: ~After Story~ is a direct sequel to Clannad and watching Clannad is highly recommended before you jump to ~After Story~. It's really well thought out and brilliantly executed. The first half of After Story follows
...
the same Clannad Storytelling. But the real anime starts after Episode 16. Damn. How can a story be this heart touching. I spent countless hours crying right after watching an episode of After Story. Made me shed manly tears. Some scenes shall stick to my heart for Eternity. It's flawless.
-Art:
The animation was pretty good. KyoAni did an excellent job. The thing I liked the most is the color variation. The camera angles were good too.
-Sound:
Sound was FANTASTIC. At first, I didn't like the OP at all(Toki Wo Kizamu Uta). It took a while to grew on me. The background scores were fitting. Jun Maeda and Shinji Orito did a remarkable task. I still frequent tracks like "Chiisana Te No Hira" and "Dango Daikazoku". If the music wasn't this good, I doubt if I had cried this much. The seiyuu's and English voice actors both did perfect. Tomoya's VA! Oh God. 'Legendaddy'.
-Characters:
Key's works never ceases to shine in this section. I got emotionally attached to Tomoya, Nagisa and Ushio while watching this show. Supporting characters like Youhei,Kyou,Ryou, Kotomi shined bright. Hats off.
-Enjoyment:
I cried countless times while watching Clannad series(Manly tears lol). But the ending made me shed tears of Joy! My favourite series. Clannad series has a rewatch value of infinity.
-Overall:
Clannad is my #1 anime. Couldn't want anything more. Made me a better human being. If you haven't watched it, watch it NOW!

[SPOILER-FREE]
-Story:
Liar Game is a one of a kind psychological thriller manga. The manga opens with an honest girl , Kanzaki Nao who has received a parcel from the LGT Office. She reluctantly opened it(The parcel contained a hefty sum of 100 Million Yen) and got involved in the Liar Game Tournament. Well, that's the theme. The Liar Game tournament is a tournament of wits and strategy. Each player/group tries to outwit each other. The plot progresses in a fashionable manner and the mind games are well thought out and well executed. The games are excellent. They make you think out your own strategies.
-Art:
The art
...
is between average and good. But the story is so intriguing that it hardly matters. The art improves gradually with chapters.
-Characters:
Liar Game excels in this field. Akiyama(The male lead) is cunning and extremely intelligent. Reminds me of Light Yagami and L Lawliet from Death Note. Yokoya and Fukunaga provide a great show too. While every game goes on, you'll ask yourself "Who will win this game?". I guarantee Akiyama's plans alone will blow your mind beyond the boundary.
-Enjoyment:
Mindf**k planning. Pure entertainment and badassery. If you like mind games and psychological mangas, then Liar Game will be epic.
-Overall
Liar Game is flawless and mesmerizing. Well thought out and well executed. The manga is a masterpiece. A must read for all manga-otakus.
