Anima is an highly emotional short driven by a tormented piano piece, which remember of Ligeti's Études for piano. The music fits perfectly the dance moves of a female figure which struggle with her body in a painful dance.
The short express one of the main strength of animation: the possibility to represent something that a real human figure can't express. The body gesture are extreme, and the taste for plasticity of the director finds in this medium a great tool to convey a varied palette of emotions and movements.
