i think fate zero s1 and s2 are outstanding
the strengths are of course the different points of view with interesting characters, of which everyone has their own agenda and the complicated realtionships between masters and servants

some people complain that the character are not "realistic"
that magicaly summoned heroes of the past are not your average person is not surprising
the masters are also not choosen randomly so of course they are not normal too
if you want "normal" "realistic" characters then dont consume fiction
the most popular characters on this site are lelouch from gode geass and l from death note
are they "realistic"? a 17 year old revelutionary ... aristocrat and an autistic diabetic superdecetive who wears the same cloth all the time and sits only in a very odd position

some poeple complain that almost no one dies in the first season and that there is too much dialogue
this story is characterdriven
it is not about who wins the grail because this is a prequel so the targeted audience (fate stay night fans) already knew
it is about getting to understand the characters and observe their tragic downfall


i also really liked how kirei realized that you have to be yourself
that you have to free yourself from the boundaries of society and pursue what you like , to be who you want to be and not to like what others tell you to like and to be what others want you to be
really inspiring
everyone should be like kirei

When i first read that this comic is similar to akatsuki no yona i was a bit afraid but later i realized that my fear was unfounded.
The premise is indeed the same.
The king is killed from a family memeber who then takes the throne while the princess runs away and gets on an interessting journey.
This really showed me how irrelevant the premise is.
Yona is a pice of garbage while this one is one of the best adventures i know.
Its like you have two writers, a smart one and a retard and you tell both of them to write a story about a strong female ... princess who flees and perhaps will take her country back.
In AnY the princess is a dumb spoiled brat who is described as strong but in reality is just the "choosen" one and so on.
In Song of the long march we actually have a strong female lead who isnt only described as such but really acts in this manner.

The artstyle is also great, it is mellow and elegant.
The beautiful artstyle was really the reason i started SotlM

of course its not perfect, for example the speed in which li gets the trust of new people is really unrealistic
its also not believable that noone notices that shes not a guy
only because she wears her hair different


but i like that we see what she does in warfare
in other anime or manga its often not shown, only statet
take code geass, we dont see a real military decision by lelouch we are just beeing told that he is a genius and won and that he is got in chess

Hunter x Hunter is the best Shounen there is.
What i like about it is that it feels like togashi has taken all the god ideas and tropes from shounen and has kicked all the bad out.

Gon is like the early Goku.
Most Shounenprotagonists are simple stupid Hotheads, before DBZ Goku wasnt stupid, it was just that he was raised in the jungle and therefore was uncivilzed and didnt know and understood conformity.
Gon also is not stupid, its more like he ignores social conventions.

The powersystem is outlined in the beginning.
Take OP for example, afer hundreds of episodes they just say you know there is another powersystem ... its called haki and changes everything..
In Hunter x Hunter you know after the first arc what there is.

Gon is not the person who does all the work.
In DBZ, Fairy Tail, OP, Naruto etc. its always the MC who kills the Badguy Boss and saves the World in HxH Gon plays an important Role bad he is not the most important choosen one on which the planet depends.
Meuereum for example is killed by Netero.

They dont judge.
They just let Kurapika carry out is revenge.
If you look at FMA Brotherhood there are lots of scenes were characters tell scar that revenge is bad and evil and and so on. The worst scene of this kind is when mustang wants to kill envy, for some reason if he would do see he would be as bad as homuncli who want to massmurder the entire country.
Naruto is also full of this "revenge is a vicoius cycle of hatred" crap.
Im not a little kid who wants to be lectured with disneymorale.

Not much sentimental backstorys
In OP every "Nakama" has a traumatizing backstory
Its really annoying and it also doesnt take a smart writer to do all this clishee dull shockstorys about slavery rape and what ever
a good writer can create emotions in you without going full elvenlied
(of course there are dramatic backstories like the one of kurapika but its not presented like in OP and others)

Its crazy and unrealistic without beeing abitrary.
Despite having extravagent characters and plots HxH adheres to its own rules.
Powersystem for example in most shounenanime is very vague.
HxHs powers are as unrealtistic and crazy as narutos but its very concrete outlined. Jutsu in Naruto is so undefined it is abitrary.

No heroic saving in the last second.
Im not confident in saying that there is no such scene but im pretty sure its not used in the same frequency as in most other shounen series.
In naruto, one piece and fairy tail basically every arc you have this type of scene where a badguy attacks a goodguy and in the last second before his weapon kills the goodguy a hero appears and saves the day.

Gon and Killua acutally discover new places by foot.
In DBZ you just fly over possible interessting new ares.
In Naruto you just jump in the Woods.
Very boring.

I could come up with more but i do not feel like it.

It is a decent Show and nothing more.
The good things of this show are already said so i will focus on the stuff i hated:

comic relief characters such as major armstrong annoyed me

alphonse cant feel anything because he has no body but he can see even though he has no eyes

they make it clear that it is possible to just transmute gold and the army wont necessarily notice but still its forbidden so everyone behaves, sure thats how people would act ;)

edward can transmute without drawing a circle but he really doesnt use alchemy to its full potential in combat and focuses on this ... fists

the homuncli could just detain the "precious sacrafices" at any time they want
the pathetic humans acutally never had a chance if not for the arrogant behaviour of the homuncli

"revenge is bad" roy you cant kill envy, why the fuck not?

Despite what you might would expect when reading the title and a summary of the plot this is not a comedy manga and not a ecchi or hentai manga.


Chapter 1-19 is like the beginning of death note.
Kurusawa is similar to light with the exceptions that he is not asexuel and that he is not popular by the girls.
Kursusawa inflicts revenge on bullys.
It sounds like a childish version of death note but i can tell you despite the middleschool setting its way more mature.
But there is no antagonist who trys to stop him like L in death note.

Chapter 20-31 is a coming of age ... story,the antisocial kurasawa regrets his doings and becomes more social and so on.

I liked the first part more, the end was a bit too positive and i still dont understand that he doesnt got punished by the school or the parents of his victims for cumming on there stuff.
I think at the school i was on people would get kicked out for doing something like this

i also dont think its realistic that his whole class just becomes so friendly towards him after all he has done.

What i really liked is the dealing with the Bullying-Theme.
Its not simply onesided with poor victims and bad bullys.
Kurasawa and his female bully-victim partner also do lots of bad things and the bullys are not portrayed as monsters.

With the exception of "his routine" its easy for me to relate to kurasawa ,he is no pretenious pseudogenius like light., and hes also no roboter without interests like light.
Even though the characters are 14 years old its a extremly tough touchy and intriging story.

This anime is just exhausting to watch.
Despite unfounded claims of lots of people this anime is just a overemotional mess without a deeper meaning.
There is no overarching theme, there are no interessting characters, there are no intriging ideas and so on.
They just filled the anime with the most emotional stuff one can think of.
Of course nudity and gore but also rape of little girl by parents, shoolkids killing cute dog and so on.
All this truly horrible events really serve no purpose other than to schock the audience.
The only reason to watch this anime is so that you can go to your 12 years old friends ... and brag about what a mature anime you have seen.
Cool kids in school drink and smoke and have sex in early age because they mistake this actions for beeing adult.
Thats because little kids dont unterstand what they really distinguishes them from grown ups. Just because lots of alduts to all this stuff drinking smoking and sex doesnt make you an adult.
And i believe its the same fallacy because of which poeple believe this anime is deep and mature with more to it.
Most deep mature dramas have violence traumatic events and so on.
But that alone isnt enough.

Compared to the Manga this Show is bad.
The first Season is almost unwatchable because its very poorly animated.

But compared to average Shows its still good.
Shin is like a combination of Ruffy and Guts.
But Shin is not the secret to Kingdoms greatness.

The secrets are the epic full scale wars.
Great generals like Kanki and Ousen.
Battle of Wits on the Battlefield but also in Politics which is displayed here also.
...
The english Dub is great.
The Story is of course epic.
Also the animation in the second Season is way better.

Its similar to the Berserk Goldenage Movies:
You can watch it but its way better to just read the Manga

After watching and enjoying Fate Zero I watched this show because at that time I didnt know that the shows are from different authors and fate zero was the first series of the fate franchise I had watched.

I still dont know why I finished this horrible show.
Maybe it was due to the cheap cliffhangers.
Maybe I couldnt accept that the continuation to the epic fate zero is such shounen trash.

One of Fate Zeros greatest strength are the different perspectives.
Here we have only one.

One of Fate Zeros greatest strength are the diverse and complex characters.
... We have a priest who secretly is a nihilist psychopath.
We have the cold maguskiller who is secretly fighting for world peace.
And so on.
Here we have only a dumb schoolboy named shirou.

I could go on and on with that.
Fate Zero is a mature show with consequences.
In UBW shirou does stupid stuff and gets saved every damn time.
