Can I just say that your Yona of the Dawn review is wrong? And I'm not saying that because you didn't enjoy it - I think it's perfectly fine to not enjoy something if it's not right up your alley. But all you wrote about are assumptions about why girls like it and they are so wrong I don't even know where to begin.

Yona isn't a character who is written to be a strong and independent female warrior who doesn't need anyone to help her as you probably expected. In fact the only reason she wanted to become strong is to protect Hak who would have died if she would have stayed the annoying brat of a princess she was at the beginning. And at the same time Hak would have emotionally lost it when he met Soo Won again if it wasn't for Yona. At the same time, the dragons are helping her to protect what she loves (Hak and her country) and at the same time she connected them to be a family (because as you may know, the dragons suffered greatly in the villages - though maybe except for Kija).

In other words, Yona isn't a story about these boys worshipping a single girl, nor it is a story about a girl becoming strong and independent the same way Mulan did. It's about being strong to protect who you love and realizing that without their help you wouldn't be able to be where you are now.

You seem like a good guy so I don't like you spreading misconceptions about this manga/anime just because it wasn't for you.

If you want to know what anime is worshipped by girls because the main character is this average teenager who gets a lot of attention from hot guys check out Diabolik Lovers. That anime is trash that deserves your bad review.

To be fair, Fate/stay night came first and is based on a (18+) visual novel. Fate/Zero started as a light novel, which is a big change in format, and builds on what FSN laid out. I'll agree FZ is totally better, but it works best coming after FSN rather than before. (for example, huge giant plot twists in FSN are dropped very casually early on in FZ, it's a whole thing) But the way they're adapting the franchise is messy as fuck so yeah most people do just start with FZ.
