Both are the perfect Yuri Manga that manage to tell a rather unoriginal story in such an outstanding way that it immediately captures you and doesn't let you go until you finish it. Both carefully handle their respective characters and thus makes both them incredibly relatable and their relationship feel natural. Both also have an underlying effect of a character in the acting scene putting up a front and only showing their real self to a few selected others. Both feature some of my favorite manga couples

Both are proper slice of life original anime by P.A. works. Both are about the inner workings of a particular company, in Aquatope's case aquariums and in Hanasaku Iroha's an inn. Both main characters can be annoying and overly emotional at times (though Ohana definitely is more tolerable)

I'm honestly kinda surprised no one has made this recommendation, considering a lot of the plot, or at least general ideas of the plot are extremely similar. Both shows feature a group of magical girls (or at least sth similar) working for a secret organization, both have a main character who rather wants to solve the conflict with talking and understanding the opposition than fight them but will still fight if she has to. And most importantly, the whole relationship of the antagonists for the first season of Symphogear is pretty much exactly the same as the one for Fate and her mother in the first season of Nanoha. So yeah, if you liked Symphogear but want sth that makes a bit more sense from the beginning on then watch Lyrical Nanoha. Or if you didn't like Symphogear then still watch Lyrical Nanoha because it is an amazing franchise
