Well for starters it follows the "popular guy with unpopular girl" idea except it is the opposite in 3D Kanojo (popular girl, not in a good way tho, and unpopular guy, an otaku). Another thing would be that both of these anime are rather fast-paced. One more similarity is that they both have a kiss in the first ep. The way the characters meet is a bit different though. 3D kanojo also has some other things that cause it to have more drama. Though I would say that in the 2nd season it ends up as a tearjerker (it actually made me cry for a sec, and i didn't cry in any other animes, check my anime list and decided for yourself)
