Ok so this was my first time seeing Shinkai's work and i was amazed by this story the art and everything about this movie/show. I loved this movie mostly because i could relate to it. My best guy friend and me were very close then when 5th grade came he had to move because of his dad job. We still keep in touch by texting, emails, and calling. He also comes down to see me and his family. But that relationship i had with the story made the movie so much more touching to me... so heres my review
Story- 10 Outstanding
The story is about ... girl and boy who are close classmates and friends. Then when one day at the end of a school year the girl finds out her family is moving to another part in japan. They are both torn apart from that news, but after she leaves. They keep in touch by letters but as the days go by and years the letters seem to slow down....and they wish they can meet each other once more.
Art- 10 Outstanding
Again like i said this was my first time seeing Shinkai's work and i was amazed. it was just beautiful ^^
Sound- 9 Great
The sound wasnt perfect but was good. to be honest if i can hear them talk im fine xD
Character- 9 Great
They wasn't anything special about the characters they were just normal people like you and me who are just good friends and live each day going by
Enjoyment- 10 Outstanding
i enjoyed this story very much even though it is so short it is an amazing cute story and also because i could relate to it so easily
Overall- 10 outstanding
it was cute, sad, and beautiful to watch

The Guy who will give a kiss for 500 Yen....is just like any other shoujo manga you would read...i mean there some differences but you could basic tell what would happen next....but any way i thought this was a GOOD manga i won't read again though.

The story was just based on a girl and a boy who fall in love...blah blah but in this story the guy gives out kiss for 500 Yen (or $5 in US) Then he starts dating this girl so he stops giving out kisses to other girls...then etc you know what happens drama with other ... girls jealous, broken trust, etc.
Art - 5
The art in this manga i HATE but thats my opinion, i dont like how the girls almost kind look like guys...you couldn't tell if they were a boy or girl without there hair..i as didnt like how the guys were drawn they werent hot or anything (-_-)
Character - 8
i dont like girls who you know cant stand up for themself etc, but i did think that the main guy was cool he cared for any girl in trouble which i thought was sweet and all but then again he had a girlfriend so yeah....
Enjoyment - 6
it was ok...i mean in these kind of shoujo mangas you know whats going to happen...2 guys one girl jealous, drama, broken trust , break ups, mean girls who have to have to the guys which really piss me off! But there werent any moments like i didnt know what was going to happen
Overall - 7
i wont read this manga again but it was ok for me when you dont have anything else to read ^^ so yeah
