In terms of style and setting both have a more harden mafia tone that goes into a more grim aspect of the business. A bit more of a fantastical side, with less realism but that doesn't take away from the characters pligs and internal struggles.

This one is a given in terms of structure and beginning plot elements. To those who have seen Dragon Ball knows that it is a direct homage in terms of girl meets boy and then goes on an adventure. Similar tropes, characters that are colorful and bright but does not shy away form themes of growth and progression.

Similar in tone when comparing the brutality and the harsh reality of the main protagonist lives, work, and overall society each where given. Also, both main characters were given "unfavorable" cards in their lives but decided to challenge them in an act that might seem futile to others. But in reality, it is not so much the act of rebelling but the significance of said rebellion which is expressed in each story.

One word, fast. Both shows go at blick neck speed so already it is demanding. But past that, are two works are a marvel to behold in not only animation, quality and aesthetic, but in terms of story and characters, they are shown more in an artistic view. One focuses on changing yourself out of individuals comfort zone while the other challenges the change to move forward with oneself. Noth different in narrative, but a central theme of change and growth are both shown in these. Would recommend to check these two out.
