It had a slow start. But now 7 episodes in the show is beginning to unfold, and is looking promising. I have some reservations that the story will end properly in the limited remaining episodes however perhaps it will continue into a Season 2 who knows.

There is a perpetual strain that is contributing to very detailed and very rounded character development. The show doesn't just lay everything out on a plate for you, it allows you to make your own judgements on characters and their pasts based on some contextual clues.

If done correctly, I'm really expecting this to get very emotional and heartwarming in a ... sad way so I guess we'll see! I love the characters so far (Hime is best) and I'm very happy to continue along with their journey.

Wish Steins;Gate and Bunny Girl had a movie together? Of course you do!

Well that's what this is.

I'll admit, at times it was confusing, and at times I really wasn't sure how it would end. I haven't been on the edge of my seat quite this much before. It's just as good as the orignal series, and continues very much like you'd expect.

If you didn't like the "quantum mechanics" being a convenient plot drive in the original show, you certainly won't enjoy this movie. But if you look past that (as you're really meant to), the movie opens up emotionally much more than the ... series did. It's easy to feel the emotions and honestly, invested me into the narrative enough to worry a few times about how it would all turn out.

If there is one thing I'd like to have seen, it would be better animation. Is the animation bad?, certainly not. There just isn't really any distinction between this and the TV series quality wise, despite movies getting a bit more love and attention. That's the only negative I can think to point out.

Overall I'm very happy with this movie. It's purpose is to clear things up that you mave have questioned from the original series, and it does so very well. But more than that, it will put you on the edge of your seat, and makes you become very emotionally invested, and for me, that was a very unexpected welcome surprise.

Acid is one hell of a drug.

Seriously, this was just insane. And just like the original series. It starts great, then just goes down the toilet. I'm not sure who decided to let this be produced, but hopefully are no longer in the anime industry.

The only enjoyable part was Asuka kicking EVA ass. That and the lovely animation are the only two things that allow this movie to stand on two legs.

I don't think there is really much to the movie, despite all the raving about symbolism here and there. But there is one great thing I've taken away from the whole Evangelion line-up, ... is it makes everything else look so much better, and for that I'm thankful.

Don't watch this, or the orignal series. Dumpster fires should be contained, not spread like the holy gospel of anime.

A show that lives up to the ego people give it. I like that, a lot.

Like most great shows, it takes a little while to get going, and definitely presents a little hill to get up first. But past that, it really is a great show. It's a show where I could (and did) easily watch 5 episodes back to back, without feeling drained. That to me is a sign of a great show.

I won't sit and praise every single thing it does right, but rather the things that it did right, despite my inital concerns.

Despite inital confusion about what's going on, the show handles ... the time travelling stuff well, and keeps from making it hard to follow. I have to commend that, as it seems well thought out that way. It has a great plot pace, making you want to keep watching. The characters really hold the premise up, and offer a great deal of variety, making interactions very enjoyable.

I both love and hate the show.

This will be the first mecha I.P I've watched, and quite honestly I enjoyed that aspect of it, a lot. I loved how their was little introduction to the world. It was refreshing compared to some of my favourite series', as they can sometimes takes quite a while to get up to speed.

I really dig the art style and overall aesthetics. I'm willing to ignore the clear budget problems the studio had during development, as not much can be done about it. The colours were bright, but not oversaturated. I've never liked the 80/90s aesthetic, but this might ... have changed my view on it, which I'm certainly happy about.

I enjoyed the characters as well. I can relate to Shinji quite well, which made the show more interesting to me, as I actually understood where the character is coming from. Rei was a more of a slow burn, and I do think more attention could have been paid to her as well as Asuka. What the show was really missing was more interaction between the three. They never felt connected, despite having to watch each others backs during battle.

It's the story that really ruins the show for me. Whatever the reason's behind why the show ended as it did, I can't help but feel a little disapointed. What disapointed me the most was the great plot build up over the first 20 episodes, which could have been taken so much further. I read somewhere that the creator didn't know where the show was headed, and it really does show. It just kinda flops at the end, and tries to make a meaningful end, but just feels hollow and empty. I'd be fine if the show showed it's intent from the start, but TBH, it just felt like a "normal" story at the start, and during the final episodes, a completely different show.

Am I glad I watched it?, a resounding yes. Not just another notch on my anime belt, but something different to what I'm used to. But no show is a great show without an actual ending, no matter how well it starts. At the end of a show you should feel complete and content, but Evangelion leaves you high and dry, wanting for more. I give a pity 8 score as I feel the show could have been much more, and most aspects of it are good, despite it's development issues.

Man this show. It doesn't hold back. It's best described as dry, gritty, slightly edgy and certainly not politically correct humour. And I love it. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and the whole romance angle is very shallow and hardly given any weight.

The story while uncomplicated, is typical slice of life. One setting with little depth, makes the writers work harder making every line more punchy, because as the audience with shows like these, that's all we have. No grand story, no major objective. Just characters talking to each other.

The art is sorta generic. Nothing fancy and CGI is limited to effects and such. ... The voice acting is good, especially Hikky. The show could mabye do with a little more folley, for more immersion, and more variety in scenes, as the whole show is for the most part contained to the school.

It's an eccentrically written show, and for that alone, I love it.

Oh boy.

This was very bittersweet. Some parts very hard to watch, other's not long enough.

The first part was real hard. As a victim of bullying, it was hard to watch.

But the show did something I didn't think it could do, it 180'd my view of the main character. For the most part. Anime makes me sad. Sad because it tells a narrative that would never happen in the real world, so beautiful that it's make-believe.

I wish it took a little longer to show both the characters in more depth, laying more solid foundation for the narrative to come, but for a movie, it ... did a decent job. I'd like to have seen more of Shoko's struggles with her deafness, and more history about Shôya. The secondary characters are good supports for the mains, and are enjoyable to watch themselves.

The artstyle is just lovely, with plenty of emphasis on detail.

It's a polarising movie, I'm sure, for many different reasons. A lovely plot that unfortunately had less time on screen than I'd like it to have. But I'm glad I watched it. And I hope you will too.

My first slice of life. And certainly not my last.

Non Non Biyori may be seen as boring, a point many make about the genre.

Sure on the surface this is boring. Just following a group of girls going to school, as well as out of school activites. But it's more than that. The writers on this show are really something else. They are very funny, without clearly making jokes. Whether it's Renge shouting "Jumbo!" as a big dragonfly flies overhead, or Komari having a crisis over how short she is, there is something special about how the characters express themselves, that feels so genuine, you can't ... help but get lost in their small, cloistered world.

It's a sit back and enjoy kinda show. You don't have to follow a long narrative, expect twists, or wonder what's going to happen next. It's a great show, and one that is great for reasons that are far too rare in anime.

Ah Soul Eater. Such as interesting and unique experience.

The story, well it's different. It's easy to follow, offers a good amount of plot and offers a somewhat complete narrative. The episodes stand themselves, and don't always further the plot, and it makes for an easy watch without being at the edge of your seat all the time. It is slow to start, but set's a nice foundation for the audience to follow.

The characters are quite interesting. You have Maka, who it the do all good student that doesn't have the capacity to do evil. She can be a little monotone, but has her moments. ... Black Star is somewhat obnoxious. I can see why people may hate to see him, however he has some very good redeeming qualites that you get to see as the show goes on. Frankly all the characters are just "meh", but in a very good way. The show doesn't try too hard here, because the writing caries it the rest of the way.

The art is quite good. Fight scenes are very well composed, however I feel the style is a little too "matte" for me, but others will prefer it. It gives off a slight punkness to it. Not much else to say.

The voice acting is really what pushes the show far. This only applies to dub. Seriously watch in dub. Every character feels rooted by the VO's, and combined with good writing, makes most diologue intersting and dependable.

Watch it, not for it's story, nor it's premise, but rather as a enjoyable look into a unique world with unique characteristics with unique characters, and unique fights.

It made me cry. Ugly cry to be honest. For me, that means it's something special.

It's beatiful, fun, sad, tragic all at the same time.

The story is truely tragic. Where you expect things to be fine, they aren't. And when things begin to get depressing, it gives you a little pick up before pushing you back down. Certainly not for those that are either sensitive, or are going through some stuff IRL. It's that good.

The sound is heavenly. Granted you'd expect as much, considering the two main characters are musicians. Still however, pieces are well tuned for the scenes the show presents. It mixes ... classical pieces and pieces made by the show's composer, Masaru Yokoyama. What results are beautiful pieces that melt your heart away.

The characters are fantasic. The main duo of Kousei and Kaori are two opposites that when merged together make for a poetic narrative. Tsubaki acts as a third wheel, but still has her own qualities and quirks that don't steal the show, but certainly adds to it. Frankly however, I could do with less of Ryouta. Bone headed, stupid, and personally somewhat annoying.

The art style. Well it almost turned me off. The way the eyes are presented are...unique. I've never before seen it. You get used to it after a couple of episodes, but apart from that the scenery, the smooth animation and attention to detail more than makes up for that little niggle. Where the art really comes toegether is during the performances. I'm sure the animators both loved and hated making the piano scenes, as the effort put into those sections is crazy.

It's a romance, without really being one. That's what I like. Romance at a distance. However it will leave a hole in your heart, that's for sure. There is nothing more tragic for me than incomplete stories, and this will give you the biggest one I've yet to witness. You'll both love and hate the show in the end. I might even get into playing piano, simply to perform the show's own pieces as an homage. But enough of this, I'm going back to listening to the OST......
