Oddly similar, both have post human characters with unique conditions. In both stories the MC starts off naive, under the guidance of a benevolent authoritarian, but starts to become more skilled and uncover more about their surroundings/situation. Both stories manage a large cast of important side characters very well. Both have the feeling of being aboard a 'ship' - a self-reliant, self-sufficient, but isolated group where each member has an important role to play. In both stories the personalities and actions of the characters have a very direct and severe impact on the trajectory of the story itself - the characters drive the story more than vice-versa. Both have incredibly unique and fascinating world-building. Defintely check the other out if you like unique stories!

Similar situations for the MC, both are set in a similar era and are time-travel. The MCs in both use their unique skillset to help the lords of their respective domains and attain fame and glory (more or less) for it.

Very surprised this hasn't been done yet. These two are very, very similar in a lot of ways. Both revolve around an immortal/very, very long lived character. Both are primarily not about the fighting, but about the people they spent time with and each has different ways of rememberng. Both have a dream-like pace at parts, due to the time that passes between chapters/arcs. Very similar in a lot of ways, MCs have pretty similar personalities but Fushi gets better as the series goes on.

The most important siilaritiy is that both stories take place over generations - they have a very similar feel to how you understand the story time-wise. There are other similarties such as passing on of identity and stuggle against a non-human enemy. Fumetsu e Anata e is defintely the better of the two but if you liked it then you should definitely check out Ryuuma no Gagou.

Almost the same thing (if you disregard the selling your life thing), but longer. Takes you through the life of the charecters up until that point, rather than just starting off from when they are in college.
