I loved the first season so I went onto the second one. Watched it all in an hour again.
I love how you can now summon demons with QR codes. Better beware of those! Said demon also sounded like some sort of crazy advertising sales guy.
Again, great antics from all the characters. It's so fun.
And although it seemed to take a slightly darker turn, it was all good in the end! There's also some more action/fighting as a result of that but it's still cool. Still enjoy this series.
So let's see...
...
Story: 10/10
There was some sort of overarching plot involving some demon king that got half-wrapped up by the end. I mean it did, but I want to know what happens next. It's definitely not the worst thing i've seen.
Art: 10/10
Again, it's very unique but good!
Sound: 10/10
I mean... definitely. They kept the opening theme as well as the ending themes from the first season so no extra comments there. There's also a lot of Halloween-sounding music.
Character: 10/10
As unique as usual! We got some more character backstories this time. Awesome. Some relationship developments.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Thoroughly enjoyed the second season, even if I was sleep deprived watching it too early in the morning. Oops! But I'll just have to watch it again.
Overall: 10/10
To be honest as soon as I finished writing this review I went back and rewatched it again >.<
It's definitely fun, even as a rewatch. I think this has safely made my top 20 anime for now :)

Dude... this is hilarious. I mean it really is. Even though it's full of super short stories, the characters are all very unique and fun to watch. Especially just them being themselves.
Now this isn't by any means some deep show that makes you cry and it doesn't have complicated plot points. It's just short and humorous. But it really is funny!
Honestly, I didn't realize at first why it was 1031 out of every number... Even though I knew the "Wan Sheng Jie" is a play on "Wan Sheng Jie" --> 万圣街 vs 万圣节 (one is the name of the anime, the second is "Halloween") -->
...
and 1031 naturally stands for October 31, but anyway. Yes. Nice and punny.
There's even a whole world destroying event in the future! But no worries, our gang of roommates and their landlord will successfully save the world! Right?
This has to be one of my new favorites...
Story: N/A
I mean it's a bunch of shorts and doesn't really have a specific story. Just crazy quirky antics from roommates, and that impending threat doom thing in the future.
There's a sense of chronology, but it's not 100% necessary to watch it in order, I guess.
Art: 10/10
It's very unique. I haven't seen an anime using an art style like this in... Well, I don't think in any of my current ~200 MAL entries. Also the animation is very smooth and good. I like it. Unique and good.
Sound: 10/10
The opening song is nice, the ending jingle is cool, and the voice acting really brought out the best in all the characters.
Characters: 10/10
They're all super quirky and cool. And hilarious. Really. They're also really stereotypically in character for their species. Like the angel landlord really enforces rules and stuff like that. The vampire gets sleepy in the day and sleeps in a coffin ahah. The main-er character seems like a bit of an airhead too but it's super funny. Also that one werewolf who goes crazy anytime he sees a moon regardless of whether it's real or not. Poor guy.
Also that one mummy that no one remembers/notices.
Also Lily is that super social talkative one ahaha.
There's also roooomaaaaaance
Enjoyment: 10/10
I absolutely loved this and I think it's the type of anime I'd watch randomly for the funs. Like Saiki K. in a way. But it's hilarious. It really is worth a watch.
Overall: 10/10
The only thing I regret is that it's only 12 4-minute episodes. Including the songs. The opening song is 30 seconds and the ending is about 10.
Honestly. It's so funny ahahahaa
They can even order blood like people might order boba. "Less sugar no ice" LOOOOOOOL
Also the 'antagonists'... Also the misunderstandings...
Funny moments such as:
"Is a new tenant something you can find while strolling at night?" (and then the character meets the new tenant)
The werewolf learning Mandarin, by doing the tones learning with barks... and learning from neighborhood dogs XD XD XD
They wonder whether them being vampires/werewolves/demons should be celebrating Christmas. But no worries, they got bribed with one month free rent.
Demons getting lessons in pushing grandmas, destroying plants, and doing graffiti ooooof
I want to cry of laughter. Even though I guess other things could potentially be funnier.
Also uhhhh that one CLIFFHANGER THING? at the end? what is ittttt haha

So uh... I can safely say I'm very confused. I mean, I could sort of follow it? There was, like, this guy who got into another world, and he sucked at magic so he ended up becoming a gardener. And then he does to get fairies or something.
With lots of flashbacks to when the fairies were still human and then there's this other guy who looks like the MC and something? But he's more manipulative and evil or something. Idk.
Part of this is the fansubs - I mean... at times they were either missing some of the words said slash incomplete, or sometimes they were
...
translated really wrong, or they were translated to say the exact opposite of what was said. 10/10 confusing.
Like one time it said "你谁都保护不了" which means "You can't protect anyone" while the subtitles said "No one can protect you".
And one time it said "疼死了" which means "it hurts a lot" or something similar, while the subtitles said "Where"
I mean I guess it made sense in context?
Well either way it was pretty confusing at times, but I guess I could follow it. But I'm not entirely sure where the merging transformations thing came from.
Ahem... Review. Yes. Let's see:
Story: 5/10
I mean it's pretty standard as a story. Guy gets sent to other world while in the airport, thinks he's super cool because he's the main character, realizes he's trash, but then he also eventually figures out something super cool and then goes on to become cool.
With lots of flashbacks.
I think that's what it was about?
Art: 6/10
I mean I liked the art I guess. It wasn't bad. Actually I did like it.
Sound: 7/10
I have no idea... I mean, the opening song was really nice. I liked that. There were some nice sounding OST at times. I also liked the characters' voices.
Character: 7/10
The characters were cool and unique. Yeah. Probably one of the better parts about this. I mean, some of the girls wanted to kill the main character at first! Although... they seemed to like him very soon after.
There was also this one dragon, he was cool.
Enjoyment: 7/10
Uh... So I watched it for the Anime Watching Challenge. I did watch it all in 24 hours. So it must've been at least slightly entertaining. Yeah? But I don't think I'd watch it again, I'm too confused for that.
Overall: 6.4/10
Well... it's certainly better than some other stuff I've seen.

First, my comments after watching that last episode:
Okay but the plot twist? Nope.
Also, the anime was pretty different from the light novels right? Character wise and stuff. Also the whole episodic nature could have been good (like Saiki K. or Natsume Yuujinchou or something) but I mostly found it boring. I was like "??" and also "zzzz" haha.
Should I cry about wasting 5 hours of my life on this? Nah I've watched worse anime.
I think it had an interesting idea, but the execution could have been better.
...
Also I better stick this into my anime review.
__
Okay, so as mentioned, here's the anime review. Let's go with my standard MAL format.
The idea was very interesting, I just think it could have been executed better?
Story: 3/10
As mentioned, it has episodic stories, except for the last two which are a slightly longer story. Each episode seemed to focus on one particular character or event or phantom or major battle or whatever. So, episodic. I thought they were all pretty boring. The last story (Episodes 12/13) was the most interesting one... and it's quite different from the light novel, which is sad. Boo. I think it could have been better?
Art: 5/10
Nothing really stands out. There are lots of short skirts, bouncy boobs, the usual. Pretty average, especially for this magic school fighting monsters guy-with-lots-of-girls thing. Yep. 5/10 it is.
Sound: 6/10
I thought it was pretty average. Actually. But the reason I watched this show was because of SCREEN mode's opening song, which I remember failing at on tons of Anime Opening Quizzes. Yeah, I hoped maybe I could remember it if I watched the anime. Also because I spend too much time watching weird cliché anime that wastes 5 hours of my life. But yes, voice acting was cool, I can't remember a single OST, etc. would normally be a 5/10, however I give it a +1 for SCREEN mode.
Character: 4/10
Well, first I guess the characters are slightly different when compared to the light novel ones, but that's not really factored into the score. They were all pretty average in my opinion. The only slightly unique thing was a main character who reads books and spouts random trivia. And an elementary schooler in the group of high school kids with their club and stuff. How'd she get in?? Anyway... yeah, 4/10. It was average. But more average than I thought could be possible.
Enjoyment: 3/10
I liked the last two episodes, though I was hoping it'd follow the light novel more. I got so tired of clicking the "next" button for just about every single episode before it though. I was really hoping for that light novel following, which is actually the reason I continued... but no luck. At least it was more interesting than "Makura no Danshi" or whatever. There wasn't even voice actor bias for me to pay attention slash look forward to.
Overall: 2.1/10
Wait, I gave it a 5 for "average" before, but I guess it was worse. How tragic. Either way, it was 100% something I would have expected. Nice ideas. I might try reading more of the light novels if I have time. Musaigen no Phantom World could have been better. But it's not like I expected more.

Alright. So here's my review for Shinchou Yuusha.
Going into this anime, I had few expectations. When I first heard about this anime and read the synopsis, I originally thought that the hero was going to be so cautious he wouldn't be able to get anything done, and I didn't like that, so I didn't watch it.
Fortunately, he actually can do things, and the cautious-ness is played for laughs.
There's a lot of comedy about how the females really like the main character or something as well.
But, let's just get on with the numbers.
Story: 6/10
Nothing unique, really. Especially because it's one of those isekai. Admittedly it's
...
probably one of the better ones, but there wasn't too much. Just hero go in and hero go out and whatever.
Art: 6/10
It was okay? Yeah. I never know what to say about art, but hey, it wasn't bad. I'm not the biggest fan of all the character designs, but whatever.
Sound: 8/10
Again, pretty average in my opinion. There was nothing noteworthy. The opening song I immediately recognize myth & roid, but that's about it. I can't recall a single OST. The voice acting was great, though, so that was a +2 in the sound category.
Character: 7/10
Uh... the main character is super cautious, the female lead is... constantly annoyed by the cautious-ness, and the other two main party members.. I forgot. And then there were a bunch of characters who either liked or disliked the main character. I can't remember. Not much from that.
Enjoyment: 10/10
It was definitely enjoyable. It had relatively unique jokes and ideas sometimes. It wasn't very good in anything except "it was fun" from my perspective, but I enjoyed it.
Overall: 7.4/10
If anyone's a fan of isekai, they'll probably like this too. The comedy was one of the better ones. I'd say it's worth an attempt at watching.
EDIT: Alright, most of what I wrote was when I was still at Episode 7. Now that I've finished it I have some more to add:
-1 for fanservice, I really... did not like it. But then again, when do I like fanservice?
+0.5 for the twist in Episode 11/12. Although I basically predicted the ending.
EDITED Overall: 6.9/10 (so, still a 7)
Great.

Alright. Time to review this. Some notes:
-1 for lame something, I forgot what it was already. Maybe it was the fanservice, but I think it was more than that. Oh, I remember. The stupid school uniform for the girls. What sort of school makes them wear... something... like that...? That's just. No. No thanks. Even if it were a super good school I don't think I'd go there for that reason.
-1 for super annoying characters. It was in Episode 9 or something, when I just went "NO".
Anyhow, to the review!
For starters, I wasn't expecting much. Really. Went in thinking "meh another one of those super
...
cliché anime" and aha, that's what I got.
Well, it had a decent concept (that wasn't too original either) - but hey when can I learn what these "Akashic Records" even are? Well, I know what they are in general, but not in relation to the anime.
Story: 5/10
Was there anything I wasn't expecting? Not really. There was the evil organization. The overarching plot of them vs the good guys. The whole... life thing. The short tournament arc. The usual. I don't really think it was unique, either, so 5/10.
Art: 6/10
Discounting the first note I had in the review, of course. I found nothing particularly unique or cool about the art. Just average. But I gave it a 6 for some reason.
Sound: 5/10
I couldn't hear any unique music, really. Some anime I really love the OST, but this one didn't have any that stuck. I tend to rate sound a 10/10, but I guess this anime wasn't good enough. The opening song was nice, it took me a while to place Suzuki Konomi's voice. And the ending, I immediately knew was sung by three of the female characters. Because it sounded like one of those.
The voice acting... hm... None of my (current) favorite voice actors are there, so no bias points, but I think they did a good job.
Character: 3/10
I like... almost none of the characters, and dislike quite a few. There were some characters with nice witty or funny lines, but those were of the minority. I don't know what else I can say about these characters, besides there cliché and sometimes annoying personalities. And I'm considering giving this a -3 for the main character being a pervert. Not a big fan, and I'm not sure why they keep adding those.
Enjoyment: 8/10
See, it was good enough for me to watch while I played some other game. And it only took me less than a week (while studying for various exams). That probably means I enjoyed it. But I wouldn't really want to watch it again, because uh... there's nothing I'd watch it again for.
Overall: 5.4/10.
But if we factor in the two -1's at the beginning... It's a grand 3.4/10.
I'm sorry Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records.... but it's basically on the same rating as stuff like "Makura no Danshi" and uh, I nearly fell asleep watching that.
In conclusion, not the best or most unique anime out there, super cliché, frustrating sometimes when the characters cry about their uselessness without doing anything, etc.
But it's enjoyable and can be worth wasting 4.5 hours on.

I first began this anime sometime in 2018 or 2019, but I was a newbie to anime watching and I couldn't understand something like Magi. So I stopped after the first episode. Now, I picked the series back up, and honestly, I loved it a lot. There are many connections to real life, in location and thought processes.
Behind the exterior of a great Arabian Nights themed adventure with djinns and magic, characters with names similar to those stories, there's also a whole deeper meaning... or so I think. There are many countries in the world of Magi, such as the Leam/Reim Empire, Kou Empire, Sindria,
...
Balbadd, etc, which are all governed differently. Not to count the various small communities and villages that are visited. Each of these empires has their own way of governing and thinking, all of which relates to what we know today. They are almost all (or all) based on some real world equivalent, which is honestly really cool and makes it interesting.
There is no simplistic good/evil, everyone has their own idea of benefitting the world or their own factions. Everyone has their motives. And those that are "good" can have darker ways to try and achieve their goals. The "villains" can have good intentions, but not the best way to go about it. Each character has their own ideals, and their version of an ideal world. Honestly, it's very interesting learning about every characters' motives and intentions.
Those are reasons I liked the actual anime, but back to the actual "review" where I try to analyze stuff!
The concept and magic system are amazing, by the way. People who use magic can lose to people who only use physical combat, due to the whole system. There's really no one super powerful faction or person... oh wait, there is, but it's not too important. ANYWAY.
Story:
My mind is still boggled from just the first season, forget the second season or the manga... A lot went on in these first 25 chapters. New characters make their appearance in interesting ways. Old characters return in equally as interesting ways. Meanwhile, throughout various small plots, a larger plot runs through the first season (and well, throughout the whole Magi series?). Very epic and adventure filled. I give it a.... 9.5/10. The 0.5 went off for "I'm still confused as to what the heck happened because it was too much and too awesome."
Art:
I think the manga looked different, but I'm not complaining. Fight animations were great. Characters were nice and colorful, and. Well. This is how I do art rating for series, so I give a 10/10 for awesomeness. Oh, the Rukh looked very nice too. Cool glowing butterfly bird things.
Sound:
I loved the opening and ending songs, as well as the OST, from what I could hear. And the voice actors... Amazing. I spent so much time pausing the video to check *if that one character had the voice actor I thought they did* and of course they all did a wonderful job. 10/10.
Character:
All the characters are diverse, and represent different countries/have lots of different ideals and beliefs, and methods used to make their beliefs happen. As mentioned before, there is no clear "good" and "evil." Ones who are the villains are villains for reasons. When their motives are revealed, they just seem like another ordinary character who just went the wrong way to achieve their goals. And the "good" characters aren't completely "good" either. They aren't always correct, and make errors too. And some make mistakes on their quest to fulfill their intentions. Wow. Very complex. 11/10. And honestly, it's so interesting, I might have to rewatch just to try to figure out what they really thought.
Enjoyment:
10/10 for sure! I spent a good 13 hours watching all 25 episodes, probably not the best idea when I have so much work this summer, but it was just really awesome. Magi is really unique in many ways and I am very glad I decided to watch this series.
100% would recommend. Definitely a 10/10.
Oh, and as a side note, the Magi Live Events had those hilarious moments that are 100% worth watching as well. Some English subbed videos can be found on the internet, and really it just makes the series 10x better. As if the series weren't good enough already.

I first watched this December 2018, (and binge watched all three seasons in a week). So I don't completely remember what happened, though I did search where season 1 left off. And now that it's a year and a half later, I'm not as big of a fan of the series, and have a more unbiased opinion of it.
Story:
Decent storyline, the hair meme was great, it was interesting seeing the protagonist train for his goals, and become stronger, but i really don't remember what happened after he got into the school. The test, and the other test. Who were the main villains of the season?
...
I don't remember. So it clearly wasn't memorable enough. Therefore, 7/10.
Art:
I don't have anything against it, and unless i thought it was particularly stunning, I will only give a 9/10. I think the animation for both normal scenes and fight scenes were pretty good as well.
Sound:
I really enjoyed some of the OST. Not sure if they were entirely first season OST, but the main theme, You Say Run, et cetera were very nice songs. Kudos to the composer. The opening song is very memorable, and the ending song reminds me of running, which is cool. Voice actors were amazing, there were quite a few well-known voice actors, and I think they portrayed the characters quite well. 10/10.
Character:
Some of the characters are kind of boring, or annoying, or seemed too one-dimensional. It was only 13 episodes of one season of an anime with many seasons, but hey, it could be better. Other series have raised my standards significantly. 6/10. Sorry.
Enjoyment:
I absolutely loved the series when it first came out, enough to watch all three seasons in a week, but now I don't think I could watch this as easily as I watched other series. It wouldn't necessarily capture my attention that well. 7/10, I wouldn't drop the series that easily. Still, not an absolute masterpiece.
Overall: 7.8/10, so I guess I'll be nice and round it up. 8/10.

Let's see... where to begin? Well, I watched the first 12 episodes in December 2018, and finished the rest July 2020, so I don't particularly remember the details of the first half. Although, I am sure my views of the episodes then were quite biased, since I hadn't watched as much anime as I have now.
I've decided to finish the series to get my own opinion on it instead of listening to everyone hate on it or love it or whatever. It was more enjoyable than quite a few other series/anime I've seen, so that's cool.
(Also I tried playing that one SAO game, I don't
...
know which one, and it was pretty fun whacking evil watermelons, so I decided to give the anime another go)
Story: The plot... is basically just Kirito doing Kirito things, getting a harem, and pulling some hacks to defeat the villain. Times two. Uh... that sums it up. I liked the world building and premise of it so I give it a 4.
Art: Nothing wrong with the art, I think the character designs were pretty good and the animation didn't suck. The fight scenes looked cool. So a 9. Because I don't know how to rate art and I thought it was fine.
Sound: Ah, the voice actors were great, and I love the OST, probably because it was done by Kajiura Yuki, so I automatically give it a 11/10. Actually, in the 1 1/2 year hiatus I had between watching the two halves, I put a bunch of the OSTs (mainly the cooler ones) on my playlist, just because I liked the composer's music, so by the time I started rewatching I just heard the OST and went "it's that one" or tried predicting which OST would start when. Very fun.
Character: Kirito, Asuna, Yui, a bunch of girls, a few dudes, and Kirito's sister. Some of the characters did have some personality and coolness to them, so I rate it a 5. Yui was a deus ex machina super cute child. The villains.... The first one, well, what happened to him, very strange. I won't say anything about it because *spoilers*, but the second one absolutely sucked. He had a serious complex but just about nothing to back it up with... yeah actually I rate characters a 3.
Enjoyment: I didn't struggle to get finish an episode, so I give it a 7.
OVERALL: 7. You can thank the art and soundtrack for saving the anime.

Let’s see…. This series was SO boring for at least the first half, and slightly less boring for the second half, or maybe I got accustomed to the boring-ness. I spent more time identifying the voice actors than actually paying attention to the series. Also, what’s up with the girls’ clothes just coming off…?
Surprisingly there are many well-known voice actors participating in the series, with very distinctive voices. Probably my favorite part about the series, if I had one.
Also, the last episode was probably the best one out of all of them. I think.
Story: Uh… interesting premise and ideas. 13-year-old who loves athletics gets sent
...
to a world full of dog people and cat people, and spoiler, demons show up halfway through the series… Or, they’re mentioned at least. The plot could have been better. I predicted half of it, which is basically what I bothered trying to think about. Overall, though, not the worse I’ve seen, so that’s cool.
Art: The characters looked the same in some ways, and I can’t identify their names, but fortunately they have super colorful hair, so there’s that. The character designs are nice I suppose, and I couldn’t really find anything at fault for the art… Not the best judge of art, so that’s there.
Sound: Uh, this anime was from 2011, and the music sure sounds that way. I heard some of the OST and that was nice, the opening and ending song are pretty good, and as mentioned before, there are many well-known voice actors participating in the series. So the voice acting was maybe the best part of the series.
Character: They had individual personalities, besides the canon fodder, and most were female besides the older dudes and that one other dude, and also that main character. What I liked most about the characters was their voices, as I have mentioned before, the voices actors were great. Could probably list off ten of them just after watching an episode, you know, if I watch an episode. I still don’t know who voices the demon thing though.
I still feel bad for Becky, her friend disappeared and then made more friends… Who are all female, of course, besides that one dude.
Enjoyment: Really, nah… It was just like UtaPri, I struggled to focus on the anime. Maybe the last few episodes were a bit better.
Overall: This is absolutely something I’d rate as “average” until the last episode or two. Then it got better, so now I'm rating it a 7. Congratulations to the last one/two episodes. And the voice acting. That brought the score up.
