I meant that the story is more complex than most other magical girl series within the genre, and from the series I've watched, it is. One of the most well-regarded magical girl series is Card Captor Sakura, around 90% of which is spent farming cards over and over until the last few episodes of the first half, and then it gets even worse after that. Of that time, most of it is progressively focused on Sakura's development rather than anyone else until it got to the point where it almost felt like the whole world revolved around her. Sailor Moon is pretty much enemy-of-the-day until near the very end, though it focuses on the development of other characters more. Not to say I dislike these series (I quite enjoy them actually), but Corrector Yui's story is objectively more intricate than almost anything else I've watched from this genre. Though again, I'll agree that I think the plot and mystery surrounding Grosser was more interesting and well-executed than the 2nd villain who felt somewhat latched onto Ai's story, even more so because I quite enjoy antagonists with redemptive themes and solid motives who are dealt with in more elaborate peaceful ways rather than simply blowing them up. There are parts I enjoyed from each arc more than the other, but I think I did enjoy the first more overall.
Strictly objectively speaking, I'd give Corrector Yui as a whole anywhere between an 8 or 9, or lower if the viewer simply doesn't care for this kind of genre. Personally speaking and to fans of this kind of genre specifically, I still rate it as a 10 and I confidently have it within my personal top 10 of anime. Perhaps I'll edit my review to reflect that sometime.
