This review doesn't really have important spoilers on the manga, but I wanted to put it anyways since some people will probably want to read this blind.
I wanted to write a review on this since it doesn't have any. Also, I think this is my first time writing a review on this site even though I've had an account since 2018 lol. I happened to stumble upon this manga on Reddit, someone commented on the plot and it made me interested. I read this manga online on a fan translation page, so I have no clue on how to get your hands on this book.

Now I'm gonna talk about the manga.
Hina no Mama ja Dame desu ka? tells the story of a girl called Hina and her struggle because of the change from a little girl into puberty. These changes, just like in real life, manifest in many forms. In Hina's case, she started having her period and is more conscious about her body (chest growth). Since the first chapter she cares a lot about these things, mainly because she doesn't want anyone to notice what's happening to her, especially her childhood friend, who is a boy called Daichi. Recently, the relationship she's had with Daichi has changed, because "boys are not supposed to play with girls after a certain age". Unfortunately for Hina, the first person that notices Hina's period is Daichi, and he worries about her because of the bleeding. He is supportive but at the same time he is embarassed because he starts to look at Hina more and more like a girl. Other side characters include Hina's two friends, and a girl that likes Daichi and keeps trying to get him away from Hina.
That's the plot and basically what happens in the first two chapters. If you're wondering why MAL lists only 17 chapters, that's because it literally only has 17. Yes, this manga is VERY short. The chapters normally have between 30 to 40 pages, but you can most definitely read the entire thing in the span of one class. At the end of the final chapter, there is a note from the author talking about another manga that seems to be related to this one, but I couldn't find it online. Maybe there's a japanese version online but my japanese is just basic and I didn't care to look any further.
So, did I like it? Yes, you can probably tell by the score I gave it. I would have given it a 7/10 but since the average score is below 7.00, I wanted to help it to grow a bit. The stories were funny, and I sometimes like reading stuff that could perfectly happen in real life. I wish the book was longer, but it's fine as it is. I would always recommend this to people that enjoy a bit of comedy and slice of life.
