Ueki kinda looks like Natsu to me. Also, they work in groups, as well as alone. Both protagonists find strength in protecting others...and both seem to act without thinking quite a bit. Both shows give off a similar, "good-timey" feel, and I'm sure if you like one, you'd really enjoy the other :D

Gods and powerful humans fighting together. Large swords, power-ups, 2 different levels (in Bleach it's bankai, but it's just level 2 in Ueki). Both protagonists get powerful much quicker than normal through hard work and sheer will. If you like Bleach, I'm sure you'll like Ueki also :)

"That's my ninja way "..."that's my righteousness"... Both shows have teams. Both protagonists started off as being the weakest, but got stronger through hard work, training, and pure will. They both also become strongest when they are protecting others. They both are somewhat airheads, but make up for their idiocy through sincerity. They truly are the good guys, and this trait of theirs often turn enemies into friends :) If you love Naruto, you'll like Ueki as well :D

The girls are around the same age. In both shows, they come from different continents. Only girls are able to use the equipment in both shows, however, the guys do try to create aircraft that will outdo the girls' abilities. The enemy are an alien species that have many different forms in both shows. Both series are military anime. Both main lead girls have some sort of tie to the equipment, making it easy for them to use. They have a similar feel to them, so if you like one, I'm sure you'll like the other ;D

Although one is land based fighting, and the other is air based, they are both about girls that are experts in handling their heavy artillery that most would think only guys would be interested in. Also, even though both have competitions to show off their skills, Sky Girls is much more than that - these girls are actually involved in a war. GuP is much lighter than Sky Girls. If you loved GuP, you will adore Sky Girls. If you liked Sky Girls, you'll love GuP. I do think that Sky Girls is better, however they are both good anime series ;D

Some of the main characters look, feel, and act similar. Also, in both shows, the main girl leads the team with her great skill. She also feels inferior to her mother and sister who lives separate from her. Her sister is very well known, and at the end of both series, the main character finally has the courage to face her sister. Also, both clubs are being resurrected by upperclassmen, and there are other members that are extremely talented as well. If you like GuP, you'll adore Saki! And if you liked saki, you will appreciate, and probably love GuP as well :)

Same feel and similar plot. A young guy takes on the responsibility of raising a young child. In both stories, the male lead finds the child's mother, and even let her see her little girl, but she makes it clear that she does not want the child in her life. The male lead also finds love with someone that becomes somewhat of a mother figure to the girl. I can go on and on about how similar these two shows are, but instead, I'll just wrap it up by giving you my word that if you love one show, you will definitely - without a doubt - love the other as well.
