Where to start with Uta no Prince-sama... An anime that's about composing music and trying to be an idol with the most annoying main character on Earth and the only reason I had to put this anime on pause. Will I drop it? No... But only because I'm waiting for something interesting to happen, though something tells me it won't. I've seen about 5 episodes and I've already had enough of it. The only thing that's good about the anime is the male characters. Even the animation is pretty horrible, even when they're singing and dancing, which is supposed to look good.
This is the
...
only anime I've ever had to put on pause because of how not enjoyable it was.
I guess we can start talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly of Uta no Prince-sama.
To note, I understand this is reverse harem. But that is no excuse.
Story (4)
Don't expect to be watching Uta no Prince-sama for the story. I won't tell you about it since the essentials are above for your liking, but it really isn't all that good. Haruka wants to be a composer when she falls in love with a singer she hears. That's about as compelling as it gets, really. She goes to a composing arts school to try and learn how to make music for singers, and the best part is, when she goes, she doesn't even know anything about it and can't even read notes.
Another boring heroine who can't do anything in the story and needs the side characters to hold her hand. This alone is really boring.
Since there isn't much to say about the story, I guess we can move on.
Art (6)
The art for most of the characters is good, and I admire the details taken into the background characters and the area where the story takes place. The art of the anime is actually pretty good. I can't help but admire many of the male characters, especially Tokiya and Otoya, who look exactly as nice as possible.
Then there is the animation, which makes the art quality drop dramatically. The animation in this is horrendous. When the characters are singing or dancing, the movements are gimmicky and look very stupid. The lips move very unrealistically when they sing. Dance moves don't look fluid and the arms just swing around. Way to go.
Sound (5)
Eh... I can't really remember individual character songs and stuff. The sound quality is mediocre and the songs aren't really special. The only song in this anime I can even slightly remember is the ending song. And even then the only thing I remember is the words "Are you ready?"
I hear people quite liked the music... I don't see what's so great about it.
Characters (6)
I can write down one hundred things that make the male characters in this anime interesting. But that isn't enough to cover the horrible main heroine, where everyone who has watched this anime will entirely agree with me she is absolutely, without a doubt, positively the most stupid person among anime history. People will try to defend this anime and say it's because she's a character from a reverse harem, but even if that is the case, she's STILL the main character. Let's start by writing down what makes this girl so bad.
Everything about her is bad. She has no talent, her eyes are a disgusting mix of color and look very bad, her hair style and general character design is horrible, her attitude is among the worst I've seen, and many other things. She has no personality, not even a little. She has no idea what she's doing and doesn't even add humor to the anime. I was sitting through it and thinking about how much longer I was going to have to tolerate her. I eventually surrendered to the stupidity and went to watch Psycho-Pass instead.
Thinking about this heroine sets my mind on fire. She's just the most clueless person on the face of the planet and constantly just stammers and blushes. Everyone calls her cute and adorable, but go ahead and google her. That's cute?
The one thing that makes the characters good are the males. They all have some personality, their pros and cons that they need to fix, and actually have singing talent. Their character designs look good and they don't have wunky hair styles and nasty looking eyes that I literally had to look away from the screen to avoid. There are some pretty hot males in this anime, and it was one of, it not the, only reason I started watching Uta no Prince-sama.
Enjoyment (5)
If you like watching nasty looking anime girls constantly fail and try to be good people, you might like this anime. The only thing I enjoyed about it were the male characters, and their moments are so far and few in between that I couldn't motivate myself to continue. I'm being very generous with this anime by giving it a 5. The main character alone gives this anime a 2 or a 3. Honestly, unless you are among the most tolerant person on Earth, or like stupid clueless females, go ahead and watch it.
Overall (5)
I'm not kidding when I said I'm being generous for giving this anime a 5. It really isn't all that good. Maybe it's because watching dumb anime girls stammer and try to be good people and fail isn't my cup of tea, but even the story and animation doesn't make this anime better. With humor that's barely added, the anime doesn't keep the audience held on long enough because of the lack of interesting scenes.
I am not even slightly joking - the heroine ALONE is going to kill your impression of this anime. Every other aspect of this anime is OK... but this heroine needs to go home and never needs to be repeated in another anime because I cannot see how anyone tolerates her.
I lasted 5 episodes and might wait another 6 months before I continue watching it. How long will you last?

Everyone makes Naruto out to be the most beginner anime out there; you can't watch anything until you've finished Naruto. While it is an older anime, and it isn't a bad anime, there are many things about Naruto that can be hard to follow, lame, or just cliche. Naruto comes along to be one of the greatest anime in existence - but I have to disagree. Like many of us here, we can agree that Naruto is a good anime... but it is a far cry from masterpiece.
I have not finished all of Naruto, but I have watched most of it. I have an idea
...
on how the rest of the anime will run.
Story (6)
For those of you who read the summary, this anime is about a young male, Naruto Uzumaki, who wants to surpass the Hokage, or leader of the Leaf Village, through training and hard work as a Shinobi (ninja). It was one of things that had originally drew me into this anime. It seemed incredibly original, and it actually is. Many well-detailed plot twists, interesting plot at times, and moments of triumph reign this anime supreme. But that's only a small part of the anime outside of the filler episodes that go through it.
The original story of Naruto does sound very nice... it's about Naruto who wants to be Hokage. But the anime dwells further and further away from Naruto's dream that it starts showing up less in the main episodes and starts making a new home inside of the filler episodes, where you can watch literal hours of Naruto trying to learn something, fail, and then do something "spectacular" or "creative" to master a technique. I kid you not, it's one of the most boring things to watch in an anime... ever.
As I mentioned before, the plot about Naruto begins to fade and shed new light on anime all-time favorite character Sasuke Uchiha, the last of the Uchiha clan, who survived a massacre not too long before the events of the anime, and when he wants revenge on a certain man. This is a great side-plot, but the thing that bugs me the most is that many episodes focus on Sasuke's dark desire to bring his family the justice they deserve. I believe several people already pointed it out in other reviews... You being watching many filler Naruto scenes, and many plot-ridden Sasuke scenes.
Like I said, for the most part, story's really nice. But the amount of filler and add-ons were enough to make four different Naruto mini-series called Sasuke, Naruto Training, Goofy Garbage, and Boring Garbage.
Art (8)
Graphics are at the best an 8. The character designs were key in my approval of the art style, but the animation flunked some times and characters could be unrecognizable in combat unless they were the focus of the camera. The art style, in my opinion, while old - looks very clean and nice, and I find it to be very creative and appealing to look at, even if it lacks detail in far-ranged shots. Again, character design was cool. Kakashi looks wonderful and like a true ninja and the members of the Akatsuki are pretty unique.
Sound (8)
Some music is good, other parts, not good. The opening songs in Naruto are very annoying and forgettable, as I found myself reaching for my remote to skip ahead of it and try not the die from ear blood loss. I don't know how others feel about the openings, but personally, I find all of them to be very horrible.
Sound effects used are comical and had me laughing a lot at times. Naruto's blissful stress and irritation can be seen entirely through the noise each character makes when they are in such states of distaste. Especially Sasuke. Snotty little boy.
Character (9)
Characters are my favorite things in Naruto. While they can be repetitive and lack originality, which is why I give this section a 9 over a 10, most of the people in this are very interesting and make memorable moments through-out the anime, even Rock Lee, who had me scared at night thinking about that bowl cut and perfectly round eyes. Most characters have their flaws and evil sides, which is what makes for a truly interesting character, even Naruto, who has the spirit of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox inside of him, an aspect that makes the Hidden Leaf Village have large urges against him.
Enjoyment (7)
Story is good, lots of humor added in there, enjoyable characters, and generally interesting action sequences are what make this have a higher rating. However, even with the pros listed above, Naruto has many moments of filler episodes, fights that last for 10+ episodes, and events that happen in the fillers that had me pulling my teeth out. I get that it's not necessary to watch filler episodes, but it still exists. Very hard to enjoy watching repetitive things happen during the course of Naruto's training, especially when he is with Pervy Sage (Jiraiya). So I give this a 7.
Overall (7)
To round this off, Naruto isn't a bad anime. It's definitely one someone should hit if they haven't already, but don't expect your socks to be flying off during the events of what happen in this anime. This anime is good - but it isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be. If you have the time to be sitting through 200+ episodes, go ahead and watch this, and be sure to skip the filler episodes unless you want to be bald from tearing your hair out.

I really did enjoy the first season of Black Butler. If you enjoyed the first season of it, do not expect to love the second. I was expecting the same joy and thrill of enjoyment in the second season as I did the original Black Butler, but oh boy, was I in for a surprise. While the first one was a pleasant watch for all viewers, the events and eye-twitching moments in the second season left me, as I'm sure it did most people, disappointed rather than pleased. To note, I watched Black Butler Season 2 about a year ago.
Story (6)
Unlike the eye catching first
...
season of mystery and darkness, the second season is full of events that leave the fans hating the characters that are introduced in the story. New characters Alois Trancy and Demon Butler Claude Faustus take the stage as the season's antagonists, and many times I felt like yelling at the TV screen to change the events of the story. It left me irritated, upset, and sometimes just plain bored. It's simple enough to say - there are many events in this that I wished were NOT canon, and you shouldn't take this season as seriously as the first one.
If you're looking for the mystery elements, those are gone as well. Honestly, some things that happen in this anime, just... ughh.
Art (10)
The character design was just as flawless, the new demon Butler Claude Faustus as beautiful as demon enemy Sebastian Michaelis and Alois Trancy quite a stunning boy for his age. The animation is just as smooth as it was in the first season, despite some times it would fall just a slip out of line. For the most part, the graphics retained a beautiful appearance and wonderful theme, matching the Victorian London as well as it did in the first season.
Sound (8)
I found there to be a significant drop in the Victorian music in the second season of Black Butler, as well as entertaining sound effects. The quality of the sound dropped so much between the two I begin to wonder if the anime took place in Victorian London anymore (Not really). What had me so captivated in the first season was gone in the next one. Shame.
Character (7)
I'm not going to focus on Season 1 characters, since they make Black Butler as beautiful as it is. This focuses on Season 2 characters, who are incredibly dull and annoying at times, but often relatable and sympathetic. At specific times. Alois Trancy is the perky and often annoying 14 year who also runs a demon Butler estate, but instead, he has 5 demons instead of 1. He has incredible passion for his Butler, Claude, and mistreats the others because of this passion and obsession. Ok... But Claude Faustus is such an unlikeable character in the end of this anime that I honestly don't see HOW I tolerate him other than those beautiful spectacles on his head. The other characters are pretty minor. It involves the other Demon Butlers that work for Alois Trancy. They're pretty boring and aren't too major.
Enjoyment (7)
There are many times I enjoyed this, and many times I didn't. Several parts made me want to throw my body off a cliff and wonder why the anime creators went this road. Several parts of this season are going to have you grinding your teeth in frustration, nails digging into your chair with anger, and eyes narrowed with hatred for Claude Faustus and what an absolute douche-bag he is. Then there are the good parts with Sebastian and Ciel, and your life is finally set complete again... until the real ending, and then you're glad you have Book of Circus and Murder to watch to get the bad ending out of your mouth and refresh your view on Black Butler.
Overall (7)
This anime is good, but if you are a fan of how the original turned out, you probably are going to want to enter this anime with caution, at best. The ending is going to be so rough for the people who want to see it end in a... better shade of light, even if this anime is one of the darker ones when it comes to the story. So go ahead and finish up your next season of Kuroshitsuji, but be weary as it will probably make you see dreams in your sleep about a different ending... a better ending... than what Kuroshitsuji season 2 gave you.

Kuroshitsuji was the very reason I began to love anime. While not exactly compelling for it's story, the sound, art, and characters make this anime a truly fascinating watch, and if you haven't already and are thinking about it, I would recommend getting to it ASAP.
Story (7)
Ciel Phantomhive is the Queen's underworld guard, who is protected and served by demon Sebastian Michaelis. The story is about Ciel trying to find out who burned his family and to get revenge on the people who did terrible things to him. I wouldn't exactly call the story the reason why I watched this anime, even though it was
...
good. There were a few action scenes far and few in-between with relatable humor thrown in here and there at necessary times.
Sometimes, the story would slow down in my opinion, but nothing that caused me to drop the anime or put it on pause. However, most of the story is filled with mystery, darkness, and the urge to make you watch more. Even if it does slow down at times, it will pick up.
Art (9)
Nothing to complain about here. The dazzling butler Sebastian Michaelis is eye-candy for even the characters in the show, with the background looking amazing in many places and even background characters getting detail, if only in the slightest. The art was one of the things that drew me into the anime, with a beautiful display of dark colors and eerie corridors that fit the theme all too well.
Sound (10)
Where do I start with this one? One of the things that absolutely fascinates me in this anime is the music and the sound effects used. Taking place in Victorian London, the use of violins and pianos are not missing in this anime, used as perfectly as the art to fit the mysterious and dark vibe this anime offers the watcher. The music is really captivating, especially when Sebastian takes the violin and does it himself - it's a masterpiece. I began listening to Victorian music on my free time thanks to this anime.
Characters (10)
The characters are the number one reason I watch this. Every person has either an interesting display of character or a dark, even tragic backstory that can't help but make you sympathize with them. Especially Sebastian and Ciel, the mains in this beautiful show, who are never failing to push you through this anime effortlessly. Each person is voiced well - even in the dub, which I usually don't like as well. I could go on for hours and hours about what is so special about the characters here. The moody Ciel, cute on the outside but dark Sebastian, crazy lunatic Grell Sutcliff, aloof reaper William T. Spears, and even Ash Landers and his doll army. I never found myself hating a single one of them.
Enjoyment (8)
I would have rated the enjoyment slightly higher if it were not for the slow down of several episodes. Watching the humor and appealing characters makes this show enjoyable, however, as I even finished this anime in about two days and went to gobble down the second season as soon as I could, and only to love and drool over this anime for several more months. I'm not kidding - watch this.
Overall (9)
Like I said before, this is a must-watch. I watched this about a year ago and would happily go back to it if I didn't have any other anime to watch at the moment. Go out and try it!
