Light Novel 'Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu!' Gets TV Anime for Spring 2025

The Overlap Bunko's 10th Anniversary Memorial Festival Part 5 event announced a television anime adaptation of Yomu Mishima's Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu! (I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!) light novel Sunday.

GREE Entertainment also opened an official website, revealing the main cast, production staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promo. The anime will air on the ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block on ABC TV and TV Asahi's 24 affiliate stations in April 2025.

Mishima (Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu) began writing the action sci-fi story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2018. Overlap began publishing the series under its Overlap Bunko imprint in July 2020, featuring illustrations by Nadare Katamine. The ninth volume is scheduled to be released on October 25. The light novel has a cumulative 900,000 copies of its volumes in print and digital.

A manga adaptation by Kai Nadajima began on Overlap's Comic Gardo platform in May 2021. The seventh volume is scheduled to ship on October 25.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English. The eighth light novel volume is scheduled to go on sale on March 18 while the fifth manga volume will be released on November 26.

Synopsis
In his last life, Liam lived as a moral, responsible person...but died deep in debt and betrayed by his wife. Reborn into the ruling family of a vast interstellar empire, Liam knows that life is divided between the downtrodden and the ones who do the stomping, so this time he's going to take what he wants and live for himself. But somehow, things refuse to work out that way. Despite doing his best to become a tyrant, Liam's decisions lead to nothing but peace and prosperity for the empire under his rule, and he just gets more and more popular! Every antagonists are male. Those dudes that are cartoonishly evil.

Many of the protagonist harem members are mentally unstable. Ranging from yaoi fans to yanderes to perverts. And his yandere bodyguards are always trying to kill one another.

As I mentioned, expect a lot of ecchi moments from the female characters. Even the robotic maid Amagi has huge chest.

how shocking.... its not like most of these shows have copy paste, no risk stories or anything...

then again, when it comes to lack of risk, i'd say thats just most anime in general nowadays

I have mentioned this title to you months ago.

The story is still trash.

There are a lot of ecchi by the way, most of the girls have huge chests, and their clothes exposing their cleavage.
The protagonists’ female bodyguards are always fighting one another. >_>

The main reason why I read it is due to the next mech designs.

Very good...hope the studio makes something worthy with the material.

...I guess Sevens adaptation is never happening, right? Even the author gave up on the LN adaptation from the OG WN...sad, it was his best work.

ah yes the trend of decent/good stuff getting adapted by bad/not up to par studios continues. at least it looks better than tbate ig

hope yanagisawa redeems himself with this as past few works have been kinda cheek.

We will have to see. The light novels are great in my opinion. If it adapts well then it's gonna be sweet for me at least.
The start of the series should be a little dark themed but quickly change it around.
Lots of deaths though. People die without anyone questioning it, like it's natural for them to burst into pieces. Kind of.
