Both manga take already estabilished franchises and transforms the characters into students, puts them into a school enviroment and parodies it in this way, creating comedic situations. 

Both are school life style mangas with crazy adventures. Protagonist, Simon and Tsukune are alike. Both are fearful boys wanting to have a normal life. 

Same atmosphere, alike themes. Both main characters, simon and keitaro are getting in big troubles. 

These mangas have quite an unusal take at school. The similarites are maybe not so obvious, but the "feel" is very similar. The strangest situations arise from nowhere and both have a very strong cast of recognizable charaters. Both also have quite some witty dialogue. 

Thay are both Funny Spin-offs, and both school life, and both have crazy stuff happening...
