Recommendations

Both are light-hearted romances with a misunderstood, scary-looking MC.

Both series are fluffy, low-stakes romances with little to no drama. At around 30 chapters, both are also fairly quick reads - perfect for when you're looking for something wholesome to unwind to at the end of the day.

Pure fluff slice of life- despite the scary looking guys and more than one misunderstanding. <3

if you liked kimi ni todoke, i'm sure you would enjoy kawaii hito and its wholesome nature. kawaii hito's main male protagonist, hanazono, is like sawako in many ways, as both have a "creepy" like appearance and a gold heart. kawaii hito follows the traditional shoujo style while leaving out any love triangles, unrequited love, and etc. (as someone who loved kimi ni todoke, admittedly i got frustrated at the kind of angst that sawako and kazehaya had to go through like miscommunication. kawaii hito is an ongoing, light-hearted manga, which is hard not to love.)

Both are romance stories with a much misunderstood main character how comes off as mean or scary because of their looks.

Both are wholesome romances, both with a big focus on flowers. Takane no Ran-san is in a school-setting, while Kawaii Hito is adult.

Having a scary face doeen't mean you are a bad person. The FC/MC in those manga are looking for a chance to prove their good will, meething their fated person to help them reacing the goal, with beautiful so cute romance.

The couples in both mangas are very bashful and kind of awkward in relation to romantic pursuits. A lot of relatively small romantic gestures or milestones are a big deal for them. Both titles are relatively laid-back and don't contain much drama. A good read if you want to enjoy something cute and wholesome without having to stress about the safety of the couple's relationship. In both, characters meet while one of them is working and continue to meet at their place of work (A flower shop in "Kawaii Hito" and a bar in "Toaru Tenin to Kyaku no Hanashi") In both mangas, the romantic relationship between main  read more

Both have the same basic premise: boy (or man in the case of Kawaii Hito) with a scary appearance is actually a sweet person. Similar romance present in both stories; while Kimi ni Koishite is mostly a getting together story, Kawaii Hito is more of a being together story. Simple, sweet love stories without too much drama or angst and lots of cute fluff.

Both are shoujo romances with a scary looking character. In Kawaii Hito, they are dating since the beginning, and it is in an adult setting. In Sora Log, they start dating pretty early and it's a school setting.

Male lead acts cute and flustered and female lead shows forwardness. Both the guys are not what they initially appear. The guy in Kawaii nante Kiitenai is more of a tsundere while the guy in Kawaii Hito has a scary face but is very kind.
