First, I have to say that for me this manga ended in chapter 6. I think it was quite a success so they are going to lengthen it, but I don't really think new content can improve a plot that was already closed and tied up.
When I started reading Escape Journey I didn't think it would be different from other Ogeretsu Tanaka's mangas, but gradually the plot becames more interesting and deep, and you can start to appreciate the humanity and realism of the characters. They each have their own problems and personalities, but you discover these things in a sutile way. Nothing big

I have read a lot of yaoi / shounen ai manga. Of course I haven't read all of them, but for as much as I have read, this manga tackles something others don't. The reality of being gay/ in a gay relationship. From the research I've done, I know Japan is not as progressive to the LGBT community as the USA or Canada is. Gay marriage is still not legal. This manga shows the logistics of this and even discusses the legal aspects in Japan. This taught me a lot of things I did not know about the country.

This manga left a very good impression on me.
Story: 9 - When it comes to the story of this manga, it can be divided into 2 parts: (1) the first part corresponds to the first 6 chapters. In it, you'll see more or less the tipical thing: how the main characters interact and their struggles to iniciate a romantic relationship. It's ok but I think is a manga forgettable because it's not something I have never seen before. I like when those Bl mangas address issues present in sociaty nowadays like homophobia because it's a real matter that a lot of BL manga avoids and I think this is the point I liked the most.
