A manga about an underdeveloped girl that gives up on love but immediately falls in love with the male lead because he's the male main character. And she falls in love with him because he harassed her quite a bit, but since he's hot its called flirting not being a weirdo (at least that's what they tell me when I do it.).
The series is actually more of about there relationship and her boost in character and confidence then them finding each other. The thing is the Female lead basically falls in love with the male lead almost immediately. We know it. However She takes

One of your typical shoujo romance stories. Here a short summary of what to expect (so far at least) so you can decide if this is for you or not:
- School setting - Small outsider girl dates popular boy - Girl has complexes about her body since she's small, skinny and flat - They start dating pretty early on - Lovey dovey scenes / dialogues and dates - So far, no real drama or love triangles Overall, it reminded me a lot of Hiyokoi, the height difference, art style, personalities and the overall lightweight fluffy type of romance. As you can guess with the abovementioned points, you won't see anything groundbreakingly ... Feb 3, 2018
While it might not be groundbreaking story telling, it's a good read and the characters are very like-able. The best part of it, for me, was the fact that the main couple actually get together and the story continues to show them behaving as a couple. And (so far) it isn't overbearing with melodrama like some relationship-based stories; the character interactions are sincere and it's easy to root for them.
The communication between the two leads is another strong point of the manga, it doesn't beat you over the head with plot lines based on misunderstandings that could be cleared up with a simple five ... Mar 19, 2024
I'm not going to lie, My Sweet Girl is a manga which I started reading with high expectations due to its fairly similar theme to Hiyokoi; However, this manga is considerably worse executed.
Tsugumi is our protagonist: short (very short), insecure about her "bony body", she feels ugly and has serious trust issues. The truth is, when we are introduced to a protagonist like this I always look forward to seeing how she develops (her development of her, surprisingly, is somewhat rapid but, at the same time, inconsistent). She is nice most of the time, but on many occasions she tends to err on the side ... Jun 9, 2020
While this seems like just another standard shoujo manga out of thousands it does differentiate itself with being fairly low drama with the biggest issue so far stemming from the Mc's own body image issues. The thing that really stands it out from many series is it doesn't drag out the MC's relationship or end as soon as it starts. Even more so though is it doesn't shy away from the subject of sexurality and sexural desire. It doesn't treat them as a solely holy subject never to be addressed or acted on in any form till the very end of a series. It treats
