In both mangas, a girl is raised by a Demon. There´s also romance.

Both series are supernatural shoujo mangas which tell a story of love between a demonic creature and a human girl and which is troubled with many obstacles. But Black bird is more smutty and Hanatsukihime is more bittersweet.

Hanatsuki Hime is about a girl who was born dead and her mother summons a demon to lend her his heart for sixteen years in exchange he will eat her. It's similar because with the whole demon, contract thing. And the eat your soul, eat your flesh thing. yeah its a like but the endings are entirely different.

Girl Falls in love with guy and guy likes girl but they cant be together for some reason. Both guys don't tell the girls they don't love them and lots more similarities in story/plot but don't want to give away spoilers XD. if you like one I'm sure you'll like the other

both are romances about demons lending their power to human girls

Both have a girl who is being helped and protected by a mysterious guy

The two are so much alike but so incredibly different; They're both about a girl who really has no one in the world, and begins a journey on a male who is basically immortal in a fictional world. Hanatsukihime is pretty short, but Immortal Rain is a rather decent length. If you like one, you'll definitely like the other a lot, too.

both stories are about a girl with a special flower on her body. also the girl in both stories is being loved by two guys! (rivals - love triangle etc.) both of them are very sweet stories and i believe its worth reading it!

Both are fantasies with an Arabian desert type setting. While the stories are very different, Hanatsukihime is a supernatural story while Moonlight Dancers is more of just a romance the exotic settings and the fact that they are both dancers in the desert is similar. The art in Moonlight Dancers is very nice and of a really good shoujo quality cause it is both fantasy dreamy like and semi realistic.

Both are about a special girl who needs protecting from a guy that later falls in-love with her

It's the same story about a demon/vampire raising a young girl for only a short amount of time.
And then he falls in love with her which would have to let him choose who is to die - he or her?
!This spoiler contains both story's ends!
And even though only one was supposed to be able to keep on living, in the end they both survive in both stories.
Nemurenu ou ni Sasagu Yogatari is a manga based on a fairy tale of One Thousand and One Arabian Nights and Hanatsukihime is also a fairy tale type manga set in the desert. There is a supernatural element and a curse as well as romance in both of them and I think if you like one you will like the other. Both partners are connected by a strange fate and a curse yet find love.

If you read and liked "Hanatsukihime" you will most likely enjoy "Ipaasha", and vice versa. Both have superbly beautiful art, are set in the desert, and flowers are a component of the mangas (actual flowers in Ipaasha and flower body markings in Hanatsukihime.)

Both about a young red/pink-haired cheery girl travelling with a dark-haired loyal guy in search of a way to let her live longer. both are cute with the guy liking the girl without her really noticing and have a a similar atmosphere
reportRecommended by tanuko
Both are romance/fantasy about a girl whose heart is going to be taken by a demon when she reaches a certain age. Both are beautifully drawn with plenty of bishounens. However, Hanatsukihime is more girly/cutesy (and not nearly as good as Masca), while the latter is more mature.

The main girls are protected by devils. Both have romance.
reportRecommended by Orulyon
The main girls are very innocent, energetic girls, that have (hot) demons to protect them!
reportRecommended by Orulyon
The two have a short and sweet feel to them, with main characters under a spell (sort of). THey are mystical, short and have a bit of romance.

Both stories involve tabooed couples consisting of a not so ordinary girl, who is in love with a demon that is connected to her emotionally. Both demons originally plan to kill the girls, but return their love and hope to live happily with the girls somehow.

A girl owes her life to mysterious man she later meets again as a teenager. There are similar elements of fantasy and romance and the artwork is similar.

got that magical thing with them and the desert thing really quite similar

Both are about the adventures of a girl and a mysterious guy who protects her. In 'Hanatsukihime,' the heroine is a dancer who is looking for the demon who gave her his heart. In 'Vision of the Other Side,' the female lead is a princess who is running away from the "Battle Demon" whom she is supposed to marry. In my opnion, Vision is much better.

The same author wrote them both - and the art is absolutely beautiful in each of them! The stories also both have fantasy elements, however in totally different contexts.

both heroes are devils but not so bad as it looks on the first sight
reportRecommended by visenna
The similarity in the plots was both girls borrowed their hearts from devils.
