The Shogakukan Manga Award (小学館漫画賞, Shōgakukan Mangashō) is one of Japan's major manga awards, sponsored by Shogakukan Publishing. It has been awarded annually for serialized manga since 1955 and features candidates from a number of publishers. Each winning work will be honored with a bronze statuette and a prize of 1 million yen (about US$9,000). Special awards are also occasionally given out for outstanding work, lifetime achievement, and so forth.

Series which were officially licensed by an English publisher, but were ultimately left incomplete (or not even released). This isn't a very comprehensive list (and older licenses are probably underrepresented), but I aimed to have a variety of examples across different publishers.

Number of sales and date that number was acquired from in notes for each. Some of them I have personally estimated a higher figure than the date says.

No. 147 would be the Himitsu Series of books. It's for children and I can't find it on MAL. It has 116 volumes and started in 1972, and has sold 23 million (June 10th, 2018).

Manga with tactical fights/strategic battles that are not determined by strength or numbers but how they use what they have available to them, using their knowledge/cunning to outsmart their opponent, exploiting weakness, planning beforehand or quick thinking in the heat of battle and using what's in their immediate surroundings to their advantage.

Not all included manga are at the same level when it comes to tactical fights/strategic battles and while the majority of fights are tactical and the battles strategic there are some that are not.

This list contains only completed lesser known battle shounen manga (so no Jojo, Bleach, FMA and similar stuff). I also excluded manga that may have some battles but are primarily other genre, like comedy (Sket Dance) or survival (Imawa no Kuni no Alice).
I rated all of the following manga 7 or higher.

Also includes titles where the licencing wasn't cancelled oficially but no new volume has been released in English for years despite existing in the original language, and cases when the publisher went defunct before completing the series. Novels/manhwa/manhua etc. count too.

manga, regardless of it's demographic is a work of art. this stack is a personal selection of works that come to mind when i see the words "manga" and "art" in the same sentence, from works that discuss the nature of literature, hyper-complex dystopian worlds, gorgeously drawn artwork
and incredibly well-researched historical manga to battle manga, stupid comedies made by furuya minoru, yonkoma manga and silly romances, a list that barely has anything concrete that is holding it together and will probably be unlisted by myanimelist mods, but it's not like that matters, enjoy the stack!

Shounen Sunday is one of 3 major Weekly Shounen Manga Magazines *Jump, Magazine and Sunday*. This magazine always delivers solid manga series.

Manga with nice touching moments that can make you cry

Shonen Sunday, is one of the big three magazine along with Shonen Jump and Shonen Magazine. It had a library of classic title such as Inuyasha, Detective Conan and Cross Game, etc,... Though, it might hold not a candle nowadays compare it competition Shonen Jump and Shonen Magazine but it do have some heavy hitters like Komi, Frieren, Call of the night,...

I've gone into MAL's database to find as many of these as I can, with some general criteria for making the list:
- Should have at least 20 volumes or 100 episodes in total.
- Should be aimed towards fans of battle shounen. However, it does not necessarily need to have the Shounen tag. This is very subjective, so I may have left out some legitimate series with that.
- Not including series that are mostly slice of life or that sort of thing.
- Not including Delinquent or Martial Arts series for the most part, as they can practically make up their own genre. Some exceptions though.
- Not including super obscure manga with very little/unreliable info about them.
- Sequels are counted with the original, so Boruto is included with Naruto for example.

Shonen and Seinen series which have individuals battling against each other, most often with special powers or fantasy-style special abilities, and also have a large number of chapters. Not recommended unless you have time to kill.
