This rec is for ch 3-5 of Work in: Both stories are about a man who was divorced by his wife because he came out as gay to her. The wife left behind a pre-pubescent girl, who kind of acts as a catalyst for the budding romance between her father and another (younger) man.

A straight guy (the seme) ends up falling for his gay co-worker (the uke). And while the seme is interested in being with the uke, the latter hesitates about being in a loving relationship, bc of a past trauma given to him by his ex. Rumours about him being gay circulate in the office as well, which makes his coming out (or being in a relationship with the seme) even more difficult. But the seme's persistent, the uke learns to trust and love again, and what we have is a very happy ending!

Homosexuality is a sense of identity that is still hard to fathom as socially acceptable, especially if you are someone with a bright career. Through a gay protagonist who falls for a straight man with a future already intact, Suzuki Tsuta and Asou Mitsuaki tackle this issue through their respective series with finesse, as each of the couple overcome the hardships of being unable to freely express their love in fear of discrimination, disappointment, and regret.

Both are mature and talk about how dealing sexuality in the society. It's also written by the same author.

Both are manga with pretty art, and include single fathers. Work In includes another story, though, and is shorter than Sorenari.
