Burning Hell: Kami no Kuni: removed Nov 1.
Aku no Higan: removed Dec 2.
Baito-saki wa "Aku no Soshiki"!?: removed Dec 2.

No magic, no impossible feats, no fantasy or isekai, only gritty or light-hearted realism.
There might be a little bit of plot armor but nothing that is drastically outside the boundaries from what normally happens in life.

If they've got a setting in the past, reality will obviously differ from nowadays', often in the sense of lack of order, violence and/or other moral standards.

The two most frequent subgroups here are:
1) People performing their jobs or passions, be it as doctor, firefighter, someone of the rescue force, a musician, sports player or something else.
2) People who suffer under violence and unlucky circumstances, trying to hold on to life when it tries so hard to tear them down.

(I'm not that far into BG and BP yet so if those change later on, I'd remove them)


!! About 4-punkan no Marigold: This manga has a MC that can see the last moments of a person's life. He cannot change anything about it though, no matter how much he tries. This means it is as if everything goes on normally with the exception that the MC knows what will happen. Added this because the story feels tangibly real, with lots of sorrow, powerlessness and loss.
So yes strictly it shouldn't be in here but this is an exception that is justifiable imo.

Manga, particularly SOL, that are especially light on the surface but between every little gesture of the characters and the art, a certain weight is felt in the heart. Simple, good, unpretentious story-telling at its best. It is fine proof that one does not need "darkness" to make a story intensely interesting and deep.

Many of these also have good anime adaptations!
All are wholesome and sweet, some will make you cry as well!
No creepy manga here (looking at you Usagi Drop…. Hell no.)

Manga about protagonists that's lives changed for the better due to a change in how they see the world, themselves and those around them, though there are some that must go through hardships before they are able to change.

The change in these protagonists aren't instant and some of the included protagonists take a long time to change or just have a more natural gradual change that is more apparent once you have gotten further into the story.

Stories about the relationship between the main character and kids, whether it is his own kid, nephew or even a neighbor's child.

It's sweet, funny, heart warming stories with a bit of drama.
Suitable to accompany your tough day, which will be healed by a cute and innocent smile of a small child.

An internet stack dedicated to dads and their relationship with their daughters. Doesn't have to only be about it, but is a big part of the central narrative. It includes blood related father/daughter relationships as well non-blood related (adopted).

Simple stories to read when you want to relax, laugh or feel warm
