Because of this, they tend to be on the mature side and tackles the situations that people in same sex relationships experiences in real life. ![]() ![]() manga with queer relationships and minimal to no sexual content that i found likeable + felt not as fetishizing as most others ![]() ![]() These Boys Love series feature characters who have disabilities. They may be partially or fully blind, deaf or mute, use a wheelchair, or have some other handicap that affects their way of life. ![]() ![]() This stack collects BL manga which have longer stories or several stories about different characters in one universe, but can't be easily found because they're not in one entry. Instead, they're split in many sequels, spin-offs, side-stories, etc. The stack doesn't list all related series but only the first manga or the main manga. Also check the "more info" tab on the DB entries, they might contain more information about the best reading order. ![]() ![]() Collection of boys love manga that can possibly be enjoyed even by those that don't care about or even dislike the genre in general. And you can trust me on that, because I certainly do not like the genre in general. ![]() ![]() COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY ![]() ![]() Manga featuring characters who have some physical or mental issues. Including but not limited to physical handicaps leaving the character without the use of certain body parts, as well as mental disorders, phobias etc. ![]() ![]() I'm disabled, so I read a lot of content looking for representation. A common problem with this content is that it is not handled well and/or is actually ableist. I wanted to make a list of disability representation, or stories with disabled characters in general, that are safe for anyone else looking for representation or perhaps hoping to learn more about disabilities. ![]() ![]() A great manga has the ability to drag the readers into the story and make them experience what the characters are going through. Intense battle sequences will make you hold your breath in excitement while heartbreaking scenes will make you bawl your eyes out. ![]() ![]() This is a list of manga that cover heavy and emotional topics like anxiety, disability, depression, and suicide. Blanket content warning applies. ![]() ![]() I’ve been reading BL for 10 years now, so I really needed a compilation of good works with young-adult/university students. ![]() ![]() BL Manga that tell a rich, memorable story. Carefully curated to be easy to recommend to non-BL fans. ![]() ![]() Coming-of-age refers to the process by which a child becomes an adult. These manga showcase characters who make the transition naturally, or are forced to grow due to outside pressures. Learning about one's self, about others, about the world, and what society requires from adults, are all common themes of coming-of-age works. ![]() ![]() Part 2: https://myanimelist.net/stacks/30435 ![]() ![]() Manga where a main or otherwise central character has a disability. I've tried to be inclusive of different types of disabilities as I come across them and hope to update this list over time as I discover more. ![]() ![]() Live-action adaptations often leave a bad impression on anyone who has read or watched the source material. Many are even quick to say that they just should never exist. But I beg to differ—these kind of shows helps us look at things in another perspective. WILL your interpretation of [manga] be different if it is acted by people? I don't want to say live-actions are good, in fact I'm still cringing most of the time, but they give fresh air at least. |
