Okej, this is my first review and I will first excuse for my bad English (hehe, I'm from Sweden).

I first read Wanted on my mobile and I thought it was a great Manga. It is a collection of Oda Eiichiros old short manga, that came before One Piece.
Because I love One Piece, I had to read this.
If you have read One Piece before, you will recognise the style. Oda's humor is always there, and it is hilarius!

the Stories.
All of the stories are great. They are short and I wish that everyone of them could be longer. In my opinion, I think they are ... good, not super good, but.....Yeah, good.
I don't want to spoil the stories to much, so read it for yourself.

Art.
The art are definitely worse then One Piece. It is Oda's first manga's, so what can I say?
But it is still fun to see how much Oda has developed in this years.

Character.
Well, like all Oda's characters, they are funny, wierd, dumbasses! I loved them!

Enjoyment.
Oda's humor are perfect! I laught just as much as I did in One Piece.

Overall.
I gave this part a 8. I thought of 9 or 10 first, but the artwork isn't that good, and the stories will never be as good as One Piece. I still enjoyed it, and I hope others will to;)

The Wanted! Tanpenshu is like its name implies, a collection of Eiichiro Oda's one shots/short stories before One Piece. If you're not a One Piece fan you probably won't find this worth reading, however, if you are a One Piece fan, the progression of the mangaka's art style and growth might prove interesting.

UH that up there was the review, this stuff down here is my thoughts as I was reading the tanpenshu so maybe you wouldn't want to read these.

Wanted!: Wow, the art style here doesn't look like Oda-sensei at all. This is really the art of the previous era, the sharp pointed ... features, the I don't know it just feels old. IT FEELS LIKE YU YU HAKUSHO. It has the same spirity plotline, the bad, unlogical plot flow, it even has the same humor. The main characters also have the same attitude. I'm not a big fan of the Wild West theme; I'm glad this didn't become serialized. Also there was minimal background, not as bad as Bleach, but not as detailed as normal.

God's Present for the Future: I liked the trick at the end! It reminds me of how Nami pickpokected everyone in Orange Town at the end of the Arlong Arc. This was actually pretty interesting. Again, the humor was similar to Yu Yu Hakusho in my opinion, and the main character had the same personality. The art got a bit different, a little bit more round, there was a lot more background in this piece.

Ikki Yako: I would actually want to read this if it had become serialized. The main character really looks like Zoro. It had a good outcome and good potential to be a long story I feel. The character art got a lot better from the days of wanted, their attire is more detailed and their facial structure looks close to One Piece. Or at least close to Zoro. The storyline felt like something that could have come out of One Piece; the shocking coincidences that capture everyone's hearts and make the villain that much more villain.

Monsters: I swear all the main characters look like Zoro. The story line of this story really reminds me of the Arlong Arc. One thing I really like about One Piece is its story and particularly how Oda makes all of his stories so tragic. Unlike other manga like Bleach (lol it's not like I hate Bleach or anything its just so bad now, I really liked it before, I promise), where the goal of the arc is saving the world, saving soul society, saving Rukia and stuff like that; the story goals of One Piece are more "these guys are doing bad things and hurting people so we have to save them". I like how the Strawhats come into towns just looking to stock up on supplies but end up getting drawn into the island's problems. I just feel like there's a distinction between "have to save the world" and "I want to save these people". In Monsters I felt the "I want to save these people feeling", this is exemplified by the fact that Ryuma was framed, and the whole town hated him and he had no obligation to help the citizens but he did it anyway because it was the right thing to do. Also the art when Ryuma cut the dragon was so Zoro, even the blood splatters are the same. Also!! One Piece reference!! This is the owner of the legendary sword of Wano country - the sword that Zoro has now ^_^.

Romance Dawn: Omg the art here is so One Piece. I like how Oda manages to make Luffy look like rubber, maybe not "like rubber" but once you know he ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi, he looks like he's made of rubber (you know that rounded arm kind of look like Popeye). LOL "Your beak made a hole in my boat. Don't move, I plugged up the hole with your butt." This is Oda's humor. I like how Garp still has the same personality, however omg views of pirate life so different. He was a pirate? and he actually wanted Luffy to become a pirate?? AND LUFFY SAID HE DIDN'T WANT TO BECOME A PIRATE?? I'm glad they took out the "Morganeers" and "Peace Mates" concept, I like how it is now, it feels more realistic when everyone is a pirate and you don't know who is good or bad, you just know that there are good pirates and bad pirates yeah this is more realistic. wow in this story Luffy got his straw hat from Garp, I like how he got it from Shanks better.

Weird and wacky with lots of fun, lovable characters, Wanted is a short story collection of some of Oda's earlier works before he started the legend that is now known as One Piece. This manga works as either a prequel or side-piece to that, (at least one of the stories are cannon to the One Piece universe) but it also stands out as it's own thing.

It really speaks to Oda's talent as a storyteller that every one of these shorts feel rich and alive enough that they could headline a full series. And this early on in his career nonetheless. The fact that it hasn't ... gotten a hard-copy english release yet is practically a crime. Give it a read. You won't regret it.

Pretty cool seeing Oda’s evolution, I’ll just do individual reviews for the stories.

Wanted!: Like Oda tackling Westerns, even if the mc is kinda mid. Ghost was a cool thing to add in tho. 6/10

God’s Gift for the Future: Most surprising one for sure, really liked it a lot. Good mc, good twist ending, good art and the world feels kinda similar to Dragon ball for some reason. 8/10

Ikki Yakou: Interesting idea from Oda, but not really my thing, I just didn’t connect to the story or characters much. 5/10

Monsters: The one that got me to read this, it’s basically canon if you want and I ... enjoyed it as Ryuma is such a great character, taking a lot from both Zoro and Luffy and feeling like a normal man (that’s also a sword king or god). Also fantastic story with the town, the twist villain and the dragon. 9.2/10

Romance Dawn: The One Piece anime had actually already animated this one and I kinda hated it, and I didn’t like it much more, Luffy’s not quite as good, some of the pirate rules are stupid and the characters are pretty weak. The real romance Dawn is just so much better, Garp was fun tho. 5/10

Story

As much I as I can glaze Oda, 2.5/5 of these stories aren't the best. These were probably Oda's first attempts at writing.

It is nice seeing Oda evolve his story telling. Though he shouldn't do one shots. Stick to long stories to fully expand the world.

Wanted was 100% the weakest of the 5. Either super inspired by Trigun or vice versa.

Future Present from God. The surprised enjoyed out of the 5. Didn't expect to like it.Death Note and Mirai Nikki before Death Note and Mirai Nikki. I liked the idea that God got One Guyed ... that he damned him to hell.

Ikki Yako. Ehh. Along the same lines as Wanted. Nothing cool story wise. Felt generic.

Monsters. This was a disappointment personally. I came in wanted this to be my 2nd favorite cause I've heard so much about it. Low and behold, called the story beats for beat. Though, it being canon within One Piece is pretty pog champ.

Romance Dawn. It's just One Piece. Romance Dawn walked so OP can run for 25+ years.

Art

Again, p goo. Cool seeing the art evolve within from the last story.

Wanted. Just like with the story aspect. The weakest of them all. Instead of Zoro with swords, we got Zoro with guns.

Future Present from God. A bit better then wanted. This is probably where Oda practice his big set piece battle that we love from him.

Ikki Yako. Let him cook, chat. This is getting way better. This is where we see more fisticuffs action. The character designs are probably the best out of these 5.

Monsters and Romance Dawn. It is just the character designs and art style of One Piece with a slight change here and there.

Overall
7/10, just proves that this is Oda's passion and happy we got 1131+ chapters from him
