Both are magical girl series featuring girls who must use captured objects to save the world.

These two fantasy series are about battling the darkness born from people's negative thoughts and malice. They enter people's hearts/minds and cleanse the filth and darkness that entraps them: Alice 19th through the power of Lotis Words and QQ Sweeper through cleaning. Both series also have a budding romance between the main leads.

- Travel between worlds - Two girls fighting over the same guy (only in Alice 19th, they are sisters) - Both main girls of the series have special powers

The mangas are written and drawn by the same author. They are both romance novels and it has a more fanasty genre to it.

In both stories fights are fought using words and contain evil elder sibblings that the main chacters are trying to get back.

Both by the same author/artist, Yuu watase. Has a cute romance that didn't start out really well at first, but it was nice seeing how it developed! Alice 19th is a kind of dark and has a bit of drama, just like ayashi no ceres, only shorter, and less bloodier. There are also family issues in this one!

Both manga are similar in a way that the characters confront/face their past. Also both has romance, but Alice 19th ending is better than that of Mekakushi no Kuni

Both series involve in love triangle, dark atmosphere/mood (though in different sense) and dealing with social problems, especially with male characters' previous love. Male characters from both works also need to choose between the current and previous girls.
