Demon who was trapped in ice in The Himalayas is freed and fuces with a nearby protagonist, causing an internal turmoil due tu identity crisis - whether the protagonist is now a human or a devil. There is also another demon that had a crush on the demon that was fused and confronts the protagonist. The initial premise is so similar, Maou Dante could be called a Devilman prototype. 

Both series are written by Go Nagai, so they have very similar art and plot points. Since Devilman was inspired by Mao Dante, both series explore very similar themes, such as paranoia leading to mass hysteria, the weakness and corruption of human heart, religious motifs and biblical references, as well as a battle between humans and demons to rule planet Earth. In both series, the main character is a human who was possessed by a demon, so he has to choose the side he will fight for. Overall, both manga create a similar atmosphere, explore similar themes, have similar main characters, as well as similar art. read more
