Not recommended sure the idea seems interesting but after like 5-10-15 chapters it gets insanely repetitive. At first it seems fresh but it just gets so repetitive and predictable i guessed what will happen every single time even tho not in detail i knew how it will end and honestly its boring. Its like listening to the same beat with different lyrics non stop and the lyrics barely even change.
I hoped for some bigger twists but this whole time it just had 1 predictable twist. I tried to make myself believe its gonna be something different next chapter but no ending was always the

Funouhan is a really interesting manga. I did at times feel as though the manga was a bit shallow because of its repetitive plot but overall it's an amazing manga. If you love psychological mangas then you will love this 100%.
The artwork is amazing. I first initially started the manga because of its unique art cover and fell more in love when I saw the beautiful drawing. The characters change frequently except for Usobuki (main) and a detective that is crazy about Uso. Usobuki's character is very mysterious. There is nothing said about his background and childhood and the detective also has a very interesting persona. Overall, ... Jan 5, 2018
It's basically a better Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo). If you liked Hell Girl you can just stop reading this review right now and go read Funouhan, because you will definitely like it.
As it's episodic, characters don't need to be fleshed out too much. Aside from Usobuki, there is one other detective character that persists between chapters, but he's hardly fleshed out at all. There isn't much actual character depth in this series. it's basically all about Usobuki and his very mysterious character. All the females are drawn the same way. The art is amazing and very atmospheric, but the women have some serious sameface. I'm just ... Jan 14, 2018
Just one word to describe such a work.
Masterpiece. The best ongoing manga now and in a long time, and rightfully so. Firstly, I would like to present myself as someone who has fairly high standards, or at least I claim to be so. If you were to check out my profile, you will find how cruel I am a critic. Berserk, which seems to be the highest rated manga on animelist, would be nowhere near my list of very good manga, although I gave it an high score. Yet this manga, for now, sits among the top for all the manga I have read. Amazing, truly amazingly ... Dec 6, 2021
This is a condensed review. I had a longer template planned, but I decided to scratch it since I don't really care too much about other people's opinions on the subject.
Funouhan (Impossibility Defense) is a misunderstood misanthropic manga. Such a negative position is understandably not going to sit well with everyone, and so attempting to read it with a conflicting mindset will more or less remove it's primary appeal. That being of an ideological venting fantasy. The main character is not so much a character as he is an allegory. He works in the guise of a contract killer, it allows him to fulfill his actual ... Longing for payback? Hungry for revenge? Whatever it may be, Make the call and let him do it for you!
My first encounter with this manga left me electrified, as it instantly brought to mind the adrenaline-fueled thrills of 'Girl from Nowhere.' The story is a whirlwind of intrigue, as a mysterious stranger emerges from the shadows and delivers revenge against those around them. Story 7.5 : Miyatsuki Arata presents another psychological thriller following his works Signal 100 and Gyakusatsu Happy End. However, instead of suspense or mystery, Arata-sensei explores a more psychological theme for this series. The main premise is simple: a mysterious man named Usobuki appears ... |
