After awhile iseki gets boring and reverse harems also tend to get boring after the industry reuses the same ideas and the most one dimensional, pure- hearted, damsel in distress, cutesy, plain girl. Like for realizes, that’s one of my biggest struggles when reading shoujo mangas is the female protagonist. Literally why I like these two manga series so much is cause they not only do something very interesting with the “a normal (or otaku) girl suddenly goes into a otome game/ fantasy world” but they make the female characters really unique and fun to read over the typical shoujo romance whatever female protagonist.  read more

-Female is summoned to another world to be a saintess, but another more beautiful girl is summoned as well -People of the world assume protagonist is not the saintess as she is not as beautiful as the other girl -The protagonist actually has saintess/holy maiden powers

Both protagonists like to watch from the sidelines referring to themselves as the side characters while others take the spot light, though they in fact hold their own valuable and unquie characteristics and abilities.
