Human fall in love with a "robot"
reportRecommended by doorotka
Both are by Yuu Watase, and both are romantic stories with a good balance of both comedy and seriousness. Although Imadoki! doesn't have the same fantasy twist as Zettai Kareshi, it's still a beautiful and touching romance tale that I would recommend to any Zettai Kareshi fan, as well as any Watase fan in general.

Android goes to highschool to check out some stuffs about humans.
reportRecommended by Zeatha
Both are shoujo mangas about a girl that isn't very popular when it comes to boys and suddenly see's herself split into two guys that fight for her.

The twists and developments are pretty much the same (memory loss, etc). Both male characters become involved in the female lead's life due to an item the female unwittingly bought. The male leads come from different times and their different customs are a recurring problem with adjusting to the present time.
reportRecommended by Foraii
The mangas are written and drawn by the same author. They are both romance novels and it has a more fanasty genre to it.

Same feeling of not knowing who do you want the main character to choose.

Romance with a man made android. Zettai kareshi is about a girl that desperately wants a boyfriend/sweet romance. One day while browsing online she stumbles upon a male order site. As a joke she tries their free week trial and ends up in a predicament when a life sized human android shows up at her door. Hal is about a girl recovering from deep depression after losing her lover in war, the android is sent in looking and acting as her deceased sweet heart to help her recover and take of her.

Zettai Kareshi is extremely similar to Ai-Ren. Both stories have the main charaters fall in love with non human beings. Both stories are tragic but show a raw side of love that reminds you why we love in the first place. The stories both show you the characters emotions in a way that allows you to relate with them in an extraordinary way. So much so that you accept the fates of the characters with tears in your eyes and a tightness in your chest that feels like you are the one that it's happening to. If you loved Ai-Ren as much as I did  read more

Both are really sweet (And tragic? Less for Zettai Kareshi.) love stories.
reportRecommended by Lynx1712
Both are cute love stories with beautiful art. Both have a romance between the school's playboy and an unpopular girl.

Dekiai Paradox and Zettai Kareshi can be both enjoyable when one wills so, despite the latter manga's being more of a comedy/fantasy than drama/slice-of-life. What's more strikingly similar, actually, is the simple-mindedness of both manga's heroines whose lovelives can't have been more dully written.

This recommendation is based on the first chapter I have just read. Both mangas involve male robot/android that is dedicated to serve their owner/mistress. But I suppose the purpose is initially different for each manga. one's (absolute boyfrind) supposed to act as a lover/boyfriend whereas the other is mainly to serve the 'mistress'. As it involves android, it reminded me of chobits. the bishies part reminded me of absolute boyfriend. and then the master-slave relationship reminded me of DearS.

Lifelike robots in both series.
reportRecommended by talia3
Well ,they both involve androids (or android-lovers) ,and a guy-best friend issue, although they're different.
reportRecommended by HanaKagari
Both mangas are romance and deal with heart broken girls and their funny ways of getting a boyfriend.

If you liked Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) then I would suggest Silver. These are shoujo sci-fi that deal with a similar topic. Both are well written, above average and different from the typical shoujos out there. Silver is by the mangaka of Chihayafuru and it is a short and complete work, and the sci fi theme makes it different from her other work but it's also very good and her works are very good and well developed, it was cancelled, yet where it stops it seems like a fine end as it is and can be read as  read more

Both revolve around dolls trying to discover the meaning behind having a soul and free will. Includes romance and bishies.

both about a girl who brought a robot guy
reportRecommended by Sango_chan_desu
-The guy Naru gang, and the guy Knight from the anime, both personality's are almost the same. they are both kind, very popular, and very dedicated to the girl they like. They would never abandon them. - Also, the girl inside the mangas, both contain a girl who tries to ruin their relationship, and are bratty. -And lastly, the guy named Jang, Shinah, is just like the guy from absolute boyfriend named Soshi chases after the girl and contain same personalities. Both very great animes. i love both of them very much.

Both of these manga's give off a similar feeling have touching storys and end bittersweetly

Second story from Non Tea Room - Wipe It - reminds me of Zettai Kareshi right away. In both we have some kind of artificial human but in Wipe It you can find even more interesting idea. Oh, and be avare of BL content.

The plots are different, but both are very sweet stories with romance
reportRecommended by as3
Two sweet love stories, with a bit of supernatural in both
reportRecommended by as3
Not an obvious choice, this is not very similiar to the main plot, besides the whole love triangle thing (though peach girl is all over the place not only in a triangle). BUT it is shoujo AND the relationship between the main character and her "friend" is VERY similar.
reportRecommended by Princess_syrup
Backstage Prince is about a couple trying to stay together, but also hiding their relationship from the 'outside' world. Ryusei Horiuchi, a kabuki actor, and Akari, a girl who has any knowledge of the kabuki world, meet and fall in love with one another. As if the difficulty of keeping the relationship of the famous Ryusei from the media wasn't enough, Akari and Ryusei also has to deal with the disapproval of the relationship from his family. Although this series is significantly short (only 2 volumes as of now), it is defiantly worth checking out if your interested in this particular genre.

Both girls try to find there "partner" and been rejected so many times even through they look pretty cute/decent. But how they approach them is whats rejects them, they soon find a guy they fall in love with....
reportRecommended by y0l3itches
Both of these mangas are simply heart-warming and although tear jerking at times definitely worth the read. They both have the theme of: Anyone can find love no matter the obstacles involved. If you loved one you will definitely love the other!
reportRecommended by JigglyPuffin
The shoujo themes are strong in both these titles, as well as the more specific ideal of wanting and having the perfect man. Both of them have a man-stealing woman, but Kiss in the Blue's a bit darker than Absolute Boyfriend.
reportRecommended by chi_chi_blanche
Both are romance series about an average high school girl who lives by herself and has her life turned upside down when a highly unusual young man has to share her residence. In Zettai Kareshi he's a robot, in MeruPuri a magical prince.

Instead of life size dolls, Angelic Layer has small "Barbie-sized" dolls (aka Angels) that are pitted against each other by their owners (aka Deuses), who control the Angels with their minds. The main character Misaki ends up buying one on impulse when she first arrives to move in with her aunt and ends up getting involved in an Angelic Layer tournament.
reportRecommended by yumeno_kumori
Both are by Yuu Watase so obviously similar art. In both stories a girl gets help with her love life from a not human boy and end up with the boy falling for them. The storylines are different but there's a lot of similarities you notice after reading both.
reportRecommended by Letty
the stories of these mangas have no commons..but the girl in both of these mangas faces the same dilemma between 2 guys..so if u liked the romance in vampire knight u should try this manga too..
reportRecommended by Spirow
This manga is similar to Punch beucase this random guy just pops into her life and its funny casue he sees her in the tub just like night see's riiko, and its also the same becasue both main guys in each manga have to get part time jobs to help out there girl. Both VERY GOOD manga :3
reportRecommended by Siyome
In both titles a human (in Zettai Kareshi it is a girl, and in Video Girl Ai it is a boy) falls in love with "robot".
reportRecommended by doorotka
They're both similar in that the basic plot is people buying robot lovers and the robots have to get data.
reportRecommended by fdssdfdsfsf
The art is kinda similar, since it is from the same author. As for the storyline, The way both stories ended is "sort of" similar ( sort of, meaning not fully) You'll understand once you've read them. Of course, they have different ending like one ended up in a happy ending while the other is somewhat happy and yet kinda sad ending..

These manga's are almost the same things to a degree, as both feature an akward girl becoming responsable for an oblivious, innocent-to-the-point-of-alien males. Night and Leo are exceptionally simplar at times; as both lack common sense for good reason (Night is a robot, Leo was a ferrel child), yet are both very affectionate; attatched to their female 'care taker/love interest and both can fight in an agressive manner at times. Both manga's are comical for the most part and are both a good, short length.
