Regaining past life memories. People they have connections with, from previous life/s are in their current life too.

Both are about characters retaining/remembering their past lives. We see how their past live's memories will affect their present lives. NG Life is more about main male lead dealing with his feeling for his current and past love. Bokura no Kiseki is more about trying to remember more of their past lives, finding why they're able to remember and to learn about the reason behind the attack on the castle.

NG Life is how PSME would've been, had it been a comedy. The ultimate two questions that can be asked (for males) are dealt with: 1: If the love of your live was reincarnated as a guy, would it be gay to want to do him? 2: If your best (male) friend was reincarnated as a hot girl, would you be gay for wanting to screw her - in spite of the broship memories? NG Life is hilarious - make no mistake about it. In fact, it's probably the funniest thing I've come across. But the subject matter, if viewed seriously, could easily depress - the plot dealing with  read more

Both mangas - involve a guy whose best friend has died and was brough back to life as a girl. -the friend starts falling for the guy while the guy still thinks of them as friends - are comedies that also get sad at points - involve letting go of a past life and moving on as a reincarnation - are shoujos from a male's pespecive - are awesome X)

School-life shoujos about a boy who retains memories of his past life in a previous incarnation. In this life, he meets people he used to know in the distant past, but some of them have switched genders...

Same author, but NG Life is a bit more on the comedy/romance side (with a few serious parts) while Yona is more serious with a little comedy/romance thrown in occasionally. I really like how Kusanagi-san writes her characters, that's what drew me to both series.

Compelling "slow burn" romances with a strong friendship-to-lover dynamic.

Reincarnation school comedies where one of the main pairings has the opposite gender from their previous life, leading to their denial of feelings and shenanigans.

His best friend from past life is now a girl and his wife from previous life is a guy. only he can remember his past life and he doesn't know who he loves

Both are about reincarnations. NG is much longer and goes on about romance, it has a lot of drama and angst, and an amazing plotline that will leave you dumbfounded. Heibon is purely a cute short story, you won't find angst nor drama there, all happy stuff and interesting conversations about society. They are both really good reads, I hope you enjoy them.

The character's personalities are pretty similar. The art is somewhat similar. They both deal with reincarnation between lovers.

The same topic of former life memories, nice jokes, and no useless drama. The ending leaves slightly sad, but warm impression. And the whole atmosphere of friendship that lives through time is the same.

About a group of people who are somewhat linked to the main lead in the past life and retain memories of their past life In NG Life, some remember but some don't. Our main male lead did remembers. In Ouji, everyone except main female lead remembers.

What's similar about these two mangas is that characters have memories from their past life and it affects their current lives. Although in Rin it's not mentioned much (yet). If that kind of stories interest you it's cool to check them out.

The theme and genre is different but they are both all about love and drama.

Both manga is about the past life of the characters and how there past affected there present.

it's similar because it deals with past life and searching for ones old love

Not so similar - but both are about reincarnation.

Both are involved with gender bender, even if in NG life they don't change gender, but are reincarnated in the same or a different one. So like in cutexguy you will have a lot of fun caracters with secrets and love to hide, many friends and the same feeling when the main caracter will suffer his secret burden. A funny good value story.
reportRecommended by YUE3899
both are historically based manga that jump back and forth from past times to modern times
reportRecommended by gaarasbff
Both are comedies with false gender bender plus a love polygon.

Kakumei no Hi is where a guy switches genders and has to get used to new relationships with old friends, NG Life is kind of the opposite, where a guy is the only one who HASN'T switched genders. KNH is more realistic, and NGL is more fantasy, with reincarnations and stuff. Both are really good.
