Preliminary Spoiler

Tokyopop's parting gift to the manga community was the release of the final volume of this most wonderful series, shortly before they ceased to exist. NG Life is not the usual shoujo mush, nor is it just another romantic comedy destined to be forgotten shortly after being read. It is a work that poses the sort of introspective questions essential to all-time classics being remembered as such.

- Can love survive the tests of time; can it even transcend death?
- Can one be forgiven for falling in love with another, after being separated from their beloved?

Make no mistake: NG Life should be read with the reader ...

I originally thought this would be a lame story judging by the summary, but I was entirely wrong. It's one of the funniest mangas I've ever read, with laugh-out-loud scenes and amusing characters.

The story is about an Italian warrior from 1,900 years ago, reincarnated as a japanese boy. Like him, several others from his pass are also reincarnated including his wife and best friend. However, he is the only one who remembers his past life. And to make matters worse, his beloved wife was reincarnated as a strong girly-boy while his best friend was reincarnated as a girl.
The hilarity begins as he tries to supress his ...

AHH! i loved this manga!!! i would die if they made it into an anime. it had lots of comedy, the best of romance, and just the right amount of heart wrenching!!! :)
the story was really unique, i mean im sure its been done plenty of times but never even close to the way this was! i love the characters quirky personalities, not your average girls or guys and even the relationships were different. but all in all the romance wasnt some shallow crap, your constantly laughing at the main character, and it was a fun and interesting story. loved it!!

Preliminary (10/54 chp)
At first this manga seemed pretty uninteresting. I mean, it has to do with history, and when is that interesting? Well, if you ever have a pop quiz on Pompeii, you just might land a C-

But I really did end up enjoy this manga, and a few of my other friends did as well. The story is fairly original, but it is a bit lacking. It somewhat repeats itself on occasion, but the humor and art does make up for it. There's times where the manga gets really serious, and you might get a bit teary, while others, you'll be trying your best not to ...

NG Life is an earlier work of Mizuho Kasanagi, the mangaka of the popular Akatsuki no Yona. My friend actually recommended this manga to me a long time ago, but I dropped it after a few chapters because I couldn't get it. Recently, I saw it on a recommendation list with good reviews, so I decided to give it another go.

The plot for this manga is really strange, but just follow through with me here. Keidai Saeki is just an ordinary high-schooler... but not really. Apparently, he was a gladiator in his past life several thousand years ago in Pompeii. All of his friends and ...

This manga is definitely a good read.

The story itself is unique and exquisite. It will make you hooked and captivated to read it until the end, plus it has a rereadable value. :) I even cried, a lot for that matter, in the end. :'(

And if you're looking for fun and humor, this manga has it. I remember many times laughing my heart out coz the gag's really funny. And you will also love the characters.

Also, this is, in no way, yaoi or shounen ai. Though others are being mistaken because Serena was reincarnated as a boy.

Please, do read this. It was nice! ...

I've been enjoying Mizuho Kusanagi's current work, Yona of the Dawn, so I thought I would try one of her earlier works. The basic plot idea had some potential to it; meeting your reincarnated lover and best friend and discovering they are each now a different gender could have been done in a way that humorously turned gender and sexual expectations on their head in a fun and interesting way. Instead of doing that, it turned into a story that was blatantly homophobic, where the main character constantly worries that he might still be attracted to his former lover despite the fact that she is ...

I'll have to admit, when I first read the summary, I was very uninterested in this because love triangles annoyed me. But when I started to read the series I was hooked! The story is very original and the characters are ALL very likable, which is a nice change. They were all strong and reliable and none of them were weak although sometimes, you are a bit annoyed by certain characters, they all have very good personalities.

Although I do admit the story is interesting, I'll have to say that the plot did drag on a bit at times because it was a bit too repetitive ...

Honestly, when i first read the summary of this manga, all i could think was "I could not get it"
"Who's who?"... "Who turned into this?"... "She became he?"... "He became she?"... Hold up!! I am not getting this for real...
So I ignored this manga for quite some time...
Yet, after learning that the writer of this manga was the same creator of the historical masterpiece, Akatsuki no Yona, Mizuho Kusanagi... I gave it a go.
And I swore myself after realising how did I manage ignore this amusing manga...
The humour was everywhere and the male lead traits are way too funny. It ...
