Both leads are stubborn kids who have a natural talent for an extreme sport (free climbing/diving), but their reckless nature constantly puts them in danger as they over-evaluate their abilities

MC is made an apprentice of a trainer with lots of experience in their domain. Later revealed is that their best apprentices from before have left him due to the trainer's eccentric behavior. The MC ultimately tries to surpass these world record holders. *Both have plenty of moments in which silence is ruling above all.

Two manga with main characters attracted to the sea and water masses in general. A very large part of the story happens near it. (Either the sea or a large aquarium at 200m depth.) <> Glaucos' art is not as beautiful as MagMell's. <> Glaucos' focus lies on diving, MagMell Shinkai Suizokukan's on the sea animals.

Two boys who like to dive in deep waters. They occasionally tend to overestimate themselves, even when they know they have limits to their own prestations. Diving's no joke!

Basically same theme; children who came from the sea and lost in the sea. Also, Both manga touch on the issue of environmental awareness.

These two manga both are about adventure to the deep darkness of the earth, where humans normally wouldn't go to. Due to this, they come across lots of beautiful and amazing natural habitats and other desolate places. *Both of them have a person who wants to explore these wonders of nature, and another person extremely wary of its dangers. <> Glaucos has a dark artstyle, Chitei Ryokou is rather drawn lighter.
