This is really funny! I actually played wind waker and there were many times that seemed like they could have been created funnier, this is what it needed. All the game was missing was them actually putting these little jokes into the game itself. The log has been created pretty much like a blooper real of antics that happen along his adventure from him drooling from the thought of his favorite soup, to characters doing slightly different things, to little inside jokes from the book and the game. It even has times where you see what’s going on in other parts of the world and ... the things that are happening are really funny.

Sometimes the writing is a little inconsistent sadly. There are times when Link ends up talking or looking like he is talking and then other times he will only move around to answer the other characters like he normally does in the games. There are also times that Link or the other characters look incredible stupid. It’s great for most jokes but one or two seem to fall flat on the delivery. Not sure if it was the translations or just the joke in general though.

I know I end up talking about the game in this review but in order to look at this, you do have to know the game. That’s one problem with it. If you have never even seen a walkthrough of the game, this will probably be confusing to you and might even spoil the game a bit. It seems like it was created to be sold with it and for you to read it as you play the game because almost every page is like a scene from it. It also ends right before the epic fight when I wish that it would of showed a little bit more.

The artwork is rather minimalist without really any shading but I like it this way. It’s almost more comedic in a way and fits with the feel of the game.

I love reading this and gave me a different view of the game that I really enjoy. If you like Legend of Zelda, you would probably like this.

Funny 4 koma manga that is pretty much a manga version of a Wind Waker parody. It has some really funny parts that you can totally relate to, because you've probably did the exact same thing while playing the game (like fleeing from the old man that came running at you on Windfall Island, because he starled you). Having said that if you didn't play the game there is pretty much no reason to read this. You can get some chuckles out of it if you're familiar with the series, but it looks like this was supposed to be sold together with the game or ... something, because it's a very short and summarized abridged version of the game. It's purely gag based on the game though so don't expect the actual story to be important (it is a 4 koma manga after all).

In short:

Story: Not relevant, since there is no actual plot. This is just a collection of short an funny scenes that can be described as bloopers of Link's journey in Wind Waker. Though the main story of the game is of course what this manga is based on (though very very loosely).

Art: Not fantastic or anything, but it really fits the characters, the setting and it's purposes. The manga is supposed to be a collection of blooper-scenes that exist solely for comedy and the art delivers that quite well. So I'd say it's very fitting for the manga.

Characters: Again not relevant, since it's just bloopers. There isn't any character development or anything, just comedic scenes all over the place.

Enjoyment: Personally I found it hilarious (may be partly because Wind Waker is probably my favourite video game of all time) and I could relate to the jokes as an avid fan of the game and the Zelda series in general. There is no reason to read this if you haven't actually played the game though.

Overall: If you liked the game give it a try and you'll probably get a few laughs out of it. It's only 4 koma and I read the whole thing in like 20 minutes ,so it doesn't take much time. If you didn't like the game or you haven't played it then don't bother. You probably won't get most of the jokes anyway in that case.

This Manga isn't really a Manga, but more of a comedic review of the Legend of Zelda games, mainly addressing the toon-ish looking Link. Somewhat the Manga can be best related to The Wind Walker game, but there are different inputs thought the Manga. Overall the art was not that great, there was absolutely no storyline, and there was no development of any character. The manga was once again, just a series of events randomly occurring with no background to support them, BUT, it was still quite enjoyable for the shortness of the reading, and quite comedic as well. Overall, if ... you have time to kill and want a good laugh or two, I would recommend this, but if you are serious and want some actual substance, this is a rather pointless Manga.
