I don't read many shoujo manga and wouldn't have read this if not for the comedy tag. Thankfully, I did open it up, and it became one the the few romance stories that I actually like. Everything about it is sweet and funny and the last chapter is one of the most amazing things that I've ever read.

Story (9): The only bad thing about the story is that it's so short. The ending was perfect, but that meant less time spent on the beginning. That meant it felt like it started very quickly, and once I understood what was going on, I was already a ... decent part of the way through the story. The comedy is good, the interactions between the characters are sweet, but everything hinges on the last chapter. If you love it, then the story will be elevated to a high level as well. If you don't like the ending, then this manga is just a simple slice-of-life comedy. Not bad, but the last chapter is what makes it great.

Art (8): I don't really have any complaints about the art. It could get a little simplistic at times (that's why it's an '8'), but overall it was very good. I thought the expressions were done very well.

Character (10): There are only two characters besides the background ones, the MC and the lying cicada. The MC is a very average person. The only interesting thing about him is how boring he is. The other character (the lying cicada) is a very strange little girl who brings the sweetness and comedy into the story. She manages to change the MC, but again, it's the last chapter that really shows the true depth of characters that only had seven chapters to develop. It makes you go back and reevaluate all the interactions between the characters.

Enjoyment (9): I'm sure you're getting tired of reading this, but the last chapter is what makes it amazing even though it's so short. I loved the last chapter so I thought the manga was great. However, even if you don't like it, the rest is still a fun slice-of-life comedy. I definitely recommend reading it. It's only seven chapters, but it's a complete and enjoyable story.
