Both deal with the Moon and Past lives. One is magical girls but still I cant help but have the same feeling from both. Great stories :D

Due to the manner in which the past-lifing issues get resolved in the two, they could be viewed as opposites, to a certain extent. Where as in PSME nothing could be done about the past in the past itself, ToT differs because its story gets told via the perspective of a time-traveling kid in need of much karmic suffering (from 1999), during the 13th century. Reincarnations, past sins, shadow vs light love triangle woes - the two share all of the good bits. And, like the other series dealing with past-lives that I've read, the level characterisation makes it impossible to stop reading them... unless you're  read more

Younger Boy X Older Girl Other worlds are involved and they have "magical" powers called "Esp". It's a great story, it made me cry a little! but it was worth it :D

Both have strong elements of sci-fi, drama, and romance. Also, they have that unexplainable pull that keeps you reading. There's also love triangles, hidden powers and some social commentary in both.

They both deal with reincarnation and figuring out past lives.

NG Life is how PSME would've been, had it been a comedy. The ultimate two questions that can be asked (for males) are dealt with: 1: If the love of your live was reincarnated as a guy, would it be gay to want to do him? 2: If your best (male) friend was reincarnated as a hot girl, would you be gay for wanting to screw her - in spite of the broship memories? NG Life is hilarious - make no mistake about it. In fact, it's probably the funniest thing I've come across. But the subject matter, if viewed seriously, could easily depress - the plot dealing with  read more

Please Save My Earth has the same feel as Kanata Kara in that Alice/Mokuren and Noriko are both ordinary girls who discover that they're so much more. Alice/Mokuren and Noriko are extremely kind-hearted girls who wish nothing more than people happiness. Alice and Noriko can be cry-babies at times (but never excessively or annoyingly), but they do the best they can. Both are also connected to dark haired, brooding/demonish men who are their destined half, and wish to protect their soulmate with all their might. The artwork is similar, as they're both slighly older manga from late 80's/early 90's, so they look slightly dated compared  read more

Long-running sci-fi manga originally aimed at the female demographic. Both focus on a large, well-developed cast of characters whose interactions form the core of the story. Both also make use of some of the same narrative techniques like changing points of view and flashbacks to great effect. The stories in these can get very dark and tragic at times but at the same time both are wonderfully optimistic tales about self-acceptance and growth, redemption and rebirth.

Both are somewhat reminiscent of really old shoujo, have lots of spacey sci-fi, and many human sentiments and sadness.

Deals with past lives, reincarnation and love triangle/s. Replay is simpler and lighter than PSME though.

Both are similar, though Please Save My Earth is better. Both have to do with past lives and love and longing. Both are really untraditional and unique shoujos and written very well.

Both are dark mystery stories with a striking artstyle and a sense of tragedy in them and also ghosts in them as well too.

Both of the stories revolve around previous lives and reincarnation of a group of people. Melancholic Princess is set in China, while PSME is set in Japan/space. Both have a very pretty female character, and good looking guys.
reportRecommended by kyahaku
the protagonists have psychic powers and while the female lead is a gentle, at first whimpy girl that grows stronger to support the male main character, that one uses his powers for good and bad in both and has trouble getting along with others

Both have people who need to go to a space-station for work and testing. I don't want to spoil anything, but what happens in one does happen in the other. Almost uncannily identical. They Were 11 has the same premise as the moon base story of Please Save My Earth.

Featuring love that transcends time and reincarnation both Please Save My Earth and The Devil's Trill are sweet stories. Both stories feature some science fiction as well. The Devil's Trill was darker and moodier then Please Save My Earth but it's still very good. Please give both of these mangas a shot! :D

Both are drama, romance, mystery and supernatural. Extremely similar feel. Each chapter feature a different character's point of view, and how they may contrast between each other. Also, both series are about a group of people trying to understand and know more about supernatural events where reality and dream, present and past, overlap each other, and the deep effects this may have on their own lives. The only difference is the lenght, but if you liked one of these series, there is a great chance you'll enjoy the other.

A group of teenagers is trying to unravel a mystery, with distant memories being an important clue in advancing the story. Also, both are long-running shojo manga series related to the Japanese folktale Taketori Monogatari.

Psychic powers; visions of 'other selves'; experiencing the emotions of others--these three things link the two together. What made me compare the titles was, rather oddly, a comedy element present in both: experiencing sexual pleasures through others--via recollections of past lives in PSME and a psychic connection shared by twins in Perfect Twins. In PSME it's ever-so-slightly awkward because two guys share memories of intimate moments from when one of the two was female. And in Perfect Twins the innocent, still-a-virgin heroine has to endure feeling EXACTLY how her nympho twin sister does when she's creating babies with her boyfriend. Trying to understand why fate links the  read more

Saki Hiwatari, the author, keeps the same genre and feel in these two manga. They are dramatic sci-fi stories that focus on the characters and their relationships.

The series both have a unique and great plot. Characters are from or used to live on the "Moon". Old school character designs, both underhyped and unknown but definitely one of the best series..

You may think...?! With P.S.M.E about reincarnation and K.K about relationship, it's a far cry from similar. But for some reason one gave me a strong impression of the other. Especially the male protagonist showed parallel qualities, for example the possessiveness for their female counterpart and the fight with their inner demons. Furthermore the appearance of a male sub-character wanting to help the male protagonist; Kazama Haruhiko in P.S.M.E and Hideaki Asaba in K.K is alike. However the most profound likeness is the foreboding vibe the manga gives off. Both stories dig deep into the dark side of human nature that most of us can only  read more

Another science fiction drama featuring a highly romanticized view of planet earth, love and emotions that transcend time and space, and an overwhelming, driving desire to return "home"

Both involve reincarnations and some past loves as well and both are from the same author so have a similar style. Other than the reincarnation the plots are vastly different so don't expect a clone of the other series either!

Both are about people remembering their past lives. They search for others who are related to their past life events. Having meetings, trying to remember more of their past life memories. They retain their power from past life, 'esper power' for PSME, magic for BoK. Both also has 1 person who doesn't want to and afraid of remembering.
