It's kind of obvious since both are made from same mangaka, but they are revolving around the same themes as well, saving the world, becoming powerful unexpectedly, action and bang bang ドンドン! this time it's Suzuki from gantz who've forgotten everything that happened, gotten older and weaker. Well not literally, but if you've read gantz you kind of get the idea. Bang bang! ドンドン!great stuff.

In both of these manga two individuals gain a power (Becoming a robot/ getting a powered suit) but they use it differently. In both of these manga one of them uses it for good, whilst another uses it for his own selfish desires. Meanwhile the police etc. are trying to figure out who they are.

Both of these manga are set in the modern world where downtrodden people are given god like powers and go into conflict with each other. Both discuss themes of life and suffering as well as display disturbing imagery. They also have plots related to how the real world would react to the situation. The protagonists are kind hearted but the antagonists are uncaring and cruel.

Both Inuyashiki and Gunnm (Battle Angel Alita) feature machines that look like humans. Both manga deal with themes of what it means to be human and not artificial. They are also both action-packed manga filled with violence, blood and gore. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Gunslinger Girl and Inu Yashiki takes the theme of technology and transforms it into a rather intriguing story with dark developments. The main characters gets involved with robotics and undergoes changes to their body. At the same time, we see how events in their lives influence the actions they take to make changes in their society. There's a good degree of psychological concepts that also evolves in both series. Recommended for anyone interested in a refreshing dark story.

Planes being used as weapons by unkillable sociopath villains that take bullets from armies of normal humans, then get back up and kill everyone shooting at them, no puks given. The same sort of entertaining craziness, in short.
