Both of these manga are drama that portray the struggles of a homeless person and how the society views them negatively by default, frequently undeservingly. Just be warned that Dirty Darling is a BL. 

Through the eyes of older man with interesting personality, various faults of society are criticized in these manga. 

After going through a rough situations, the previously hardworking older man now finds himself in a situation in which he is surviving without a home, having to employ craftiness and gathering to continue this kind of homeless life, while also in a way experiencing a certain kind of freedom this style of life gives to people. 

Stories about homeless men and their lives in such situations, the resourcefullness of materials from the regular society, eating scraps, ending out in hospital etc.
