Deadman Wonderland and World Embryo actually share very little in terms of plot except for in both cases the leading female character has a rather rough past. The main similarity is found in their tone, they both are what I would classify as "Dark Shounen" meaning they both maintain many of the qualities that make them shounen but have a much darker tone than manga like Naruto or the like. Another similarity is that in both manga you have a male MC who starts off weak but is extremely determined to rise up to the occasion.

They have a somewhat similar premise involving supernatural as a certain type of "monster" exists in their perspective worlds. As such, an organization is created to hunt and exterminate them. The main male protagonist gets involved in an event that changes their lives forever. Throughout both series, they cope with this change albeit in different circumstances. Recommended for fans of mystery.

Both are supernatural/fantasy (WE more so) stories that examine the obsession of a teenage/young adultish main character's love for a deceased one as it transfers to a "heir," the one who will resurrect the dead person's image. Lament of the Lamb provides a more detailed picture of immediate life for the characters if, upon realizing what's happening, the "replacement" character accepts his role; World Embryo kind of goes the negative direction, and has a more involved look at the consequences of the action (as necessitated by the plot; WE is more of a save the world type story) in terms of regret and  read more

Chrno Crusade and World Embryo are by the same creator, Daisuke Moriyama. While the storylines are very different, the feeling and art style of both manga are very similar. Some themes are shared between the two are somewhat similar. Check out one if you liked the other!

They fight the aliens using weapons that have double-edges ..in Freezing they implants on themselves stigmata and on World Embryo they use jinki cores.

- Recurring theme of lies and deception - Common premise of a mystery surrounding a girl’s death - Lots of heartbreak and pathos, also some heartwarming moments

The protagonist will come in contact with a virus or disease that will ultimately transform them into 'monster', given them special ability to fight their own kinds. And work for an organization that tries to keep this a secret from the public. Two roads appear in front of the protagonist, will he/she choose to use the power he/she gain for good or for evil?

Both stories have to do with an "infection" like object I.E a virus. It continues the similar pattern where there are characters who fight against the would be humans turned monster. Only this time the path of killing monsters leads into creating a new one. The main character is a normal Non-monster-killer type, stuck in a rut between reality and his own delusions. The paths laid out before him shall shape his destiny, while bringing the pain of every action to his very world. World Embryo.

Shounens that look and feel very similar. Have a nice balance of action and drama. Heroes have special weapons and abilities (yet are always getting really beat up). Each has an organization that tries to prevent the spread of a terrible infection. Riku is similar to Allen in the later chapters of D.Grayman.

they both have main characters that strategically aim for their goal and behave very psyched... it gives off the same feel.

The plot is different, but the story's beginning is very similar: average, unlucky, orphan guy who lives with a beautiful friend/tutor suddenly encounters a strange girl and gets involved in non-ordinary things. Both are shounen series with plenty of action and a great art style.

Both stories deal with an infection, an organization dedicated to defeating it, and the main character is an infected that does not go crazy like other humans. They have similar hairstyles too.
