If you like the josei comedy Hotaru no Hikari - I think you should try Dame na Watashi ni Koi Shite Kudasai. These comedies have a similar flavor, both women are about the same age, in their late twenties and have never had a successful love life, each of them craves food and likes to drink! lol. The comedy in each is centered around them having to live with their boss because of money problems, and their bantering conversations where they make fun of their boss to his face is similar. They also have  read more

Both mangas are Rom Coms with a relatively light and breezy tone. The lead couples have a similar dynamic (i.e. energetic, honest, but somewhat dumb female lead & serious, stubborn, sarcastic male lead). Most importantly, both mangas have solid character development throughout and manage to be engaging and cute throughout without ever relying on unnecessary melodrama.

- About adults - An unemployed character moves in with his future romantic interest - Heartwarming - Mature - Funny, tense, cute moments In gomashio is more serious than Dame an watashi In gomashio the male MC is so romantical

In both mangas the guy helps the woman with some situation where she is really bad at. In Dame Koi the woman doesn't know how to say no to her partners who take advantage of her money and ends up with a lot of debts, while in Watashi no Oyome-Kun, the woman has her home in a deplorable situation (messy and dirty). The men in both manga are good at doing housework like organizing, cleaning, and cooking, while the two women are terrible at it. Both couples are in their late twenties to early thirties and work together at the same job and/or live together.

Both mangas are similair in terms of topic - Hopeless girl is being employed and taken care of by older, slightly nasty guy.

The protagonists remind me a lot of each other in that they are cheerful and hardworking but also a bit useless in a way that is played for laughs. Also their love of food! The relationship development between the FMC and MMC is also very similar in that they are friends for a long time first, with their romance developing slowly, sweetly, and organically.

29-year-olds who have bad luck with love. While Sekine-kun no Koi is more serious and kinda sad, Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai is a comedy! Both are good reads.

- similar main characters - a little dopey and eager to please but ultimately kind and trying their hardest (while they dig themselves into deep, deep holes) - main character hates the guy from earlier interactions, but come around after spending more time with him and finding out he's actually a really sweet and caring guy (though he's not tsundere in Liar x Liar) - same optimistic outlook - no malicious asshole characters, no overdone overly serious drama, cute humor, and two leads who really, really love each other

The theme of both these manga are not similar, but the romance is quite similar. Useless/unpopular girl meets a perfect/attractive guy. The guy is super strict with her and challenges her to improve on her life and improve as a person. They end up falling in love. I love Nodame and Chiaki and when I read DameKoi, it felt like I was reading the same thing sometimes because Michiko and Ayumu act so similar to Nodame and Chiaki.

Both of them are about woman or her 30s, without boyfriend and love experience at all. They both find someone who helps them to find love.

Although the genre is different (Dame: Josei, Kaichou: Shojo), Both couple is so hilarious. They dont hold back at abusing each other patner, be it language or action. Seeing from reader point of view, their interaction makes me laugh so hard. Recommended for those who like RomCom story

Ani Tomo's Onii (Nanase Yukihiro) is very similar to Shuunin (Kurosawa) in Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai. They are both very strict, mischievous yet caring. Both manga are very well written, enjoyable and funny.
