Both manga have female lead characters running shops, with mystical happenings going on and strange customers seeking help. Also they have males working for female lead. They also have the main female character with a mysterious background not known until later on. xxxHolic by CLAMP is a lot longer series, but I think both are very good, also the main character of The Tarot Cafe looks just like a female character from one of CLAMP's other works called Clover.  

Gives of the same feeling 

Both of them work with the idea that there is a little shop that can help you with your problems. They may be episodic in the chapters but then ends up getting deeper and deeper into a heavy main story. There is a really mysterious shop keeper who seems to never let on exactly what is going on in her/his own life. 

both have mysticism and lot of other supernatural shit in it as well as lots of nice to look at art and character designs. 

Both have a main character clouded in mystery and provides some kind of service for a reason (at least in the beginning) unknown. The feel of the stories are similar as well as the horror in them although pet shop of horrors is a lot more gory and scary. 

Both are owned by a secretive shop keeper who has a deep past. The chapters are mostly episodic but then we end with a very deep story line.  

both stories revolve around characters solving supernatural related problems as well as a spooky atmosphere to them as well too. 

both have supernatrual shit in it as well as lovers that never were meant to be as well too.
