You should read it, it's worth the short while you will spent on it.

I've checked out this short horror manga, because of the Ryukishi07 name and was pleasently surprised by how much I ended up enjoying it.
The length obviously does not allow for a similar level of complexity and depth as the likes of Higurashi or Umineko and many of the topics, such a superstition, bullying and a critique of the japanese education system are pretty familiar, but the story as a whole still feels pretty fresh and has a fairly unique protagonist. The art is also great at conveying atmosphere and is not ... afraid to get both more ugly and realistic at times than common to many manga.

While the story touches on some relatively dark subject matter it does not go into gratuitous territoy and does not come off as too preachy either. It's a quick read that won't waste your time and deserves a bit more love from horror and When They Cry fans, even if it's not exceptional.
