Here we have the sequel of K-On! with a 4-koma format written by Kakifly it brings a new atmosphere for After School Tea-Time. Waiting for them is a brand-new collage life, new people, and the continuation of their fun journey together.

Taking place in an all-girls school collage the group of friends hopes to join the pop music club, bringing the experience from their senior year with them. I’m pretty sure you have a sense of what K-On! is all about. You shouldn't expect a complex plot that’s difficult to understand let alone a big development in the story being the slice-of-life manga it is. ... It’s filled with comedy that you are familiar with in the prequel, and the cuteness of the characters.

Here’s a summary of the After School Tea-Time band members, each having their own entertaining personalities. First we have Yui being a carefree happy-go-lucky person, she creates a fun ambiance within the band. Mugi, your tropical rich girl having the desire of being one of the “common” people, I love watching her trying to reach her dreams of becoming normal. The ever so popular Mio, having a shy personally, making it worst after a certain incident during the band’s first performance in the festival. Being loud and energetic Ritsu is the drummer of the band, manipulating, and messing around with her childhood friend, Mio. Again you shouldn't expect a huge character devolvement or a complex one. But of course this manga isn't going to be completely focused on those four. We actually get introduce to five new characters. The three freshmen, Akira, Sachi, and Ayame being a group of friends with their band called “Only Girlz”. And the upperclassman’s of the pop music club, Kana Yoshii and Chiyo Hirose.
Akira, having a punk appearance with her short ruffled hair, piercings, and having a bit of a tsundere attitude she can be seen as Yui’s replacement of Azusa. Additionally I believe she’s the only one with a minor development in character throughout the manga. Playing the bass Sashi has a similar personality with Mio but is self-conscious and embarrassed about her height. Being the drummer of the band Ayame looks after Akira making sure she doesn't go too far, setting her straight kind of like what Mio does with Ritsu.
To the upperclassman’s Kana Yoshii is the club president, having much the same values as Sawa-chan, obsessed with school uniforms (cosplay), beauty, age, and looking young. I can’t say much about Chiyo, but she was in the same band with Kana in the past which isn't active anymore.

The art was very pleasant, especially in the beginning of the chapter where most of them are coloured in which is a nice bonus.

Being one of the first manga I've read and actually bought a matter of fact, I enjoyed it very much. There was times where I laughed out loud at Yui’s carefree personality, mainly because she my favorite out of everyone. Also it’s brought back memories when I was watching K-On! seeing everyone and how they get along with each other was a nice reminder of how great this franchise has become.

If you are looking for more K-On! or just a big a fan, then without question this should be in your plan to read list. It was very enjoyable and it’s great to see more from the original creator of K-On!

K-on! College is a manga that is often mentioned in conversations among anime fans, specifically SoL and Moeblob fans.
Often comments associated with this manga are pleas for an adaptation following the success of the original show.
I, myself enjoyed the original anime, I didn't love it, but I liked it.
Knowing this fact, I believe I have a fairly unbiased opinion, and that opinion is; this manga is not good.

The story is simple, a follow up of the events after the four older girls graduate from Highschool, where the anime left off.
While this story might entertain some, I myself found it boring and lacklustre, but ... that doesn't matter, not much more could be brought to the table in terms of story.

The art is somewhere between average to decent, again it doesn't really matter, 4koma manga very rarely bring amazing art as part of the selling point.

The characters, easily the highlight of the show, and quite frankly, the only good part of the manga.
Following the same cast (excluding Azusa), most of the personalities are laid out already and don't need any more building upon.
As for the new characters, they feel bland and quite frankly, were forgettable. I finished this less than 12 hours ago and I have already forgotten three of the four new-characters names.

In conclusion, while I don't regret reading this manga, I could of easily done without it.
Part of the problem (in my opinion) is the fact that it's 4koma manga, the jokes that work so well in the anime, pass too quickly to be properly enjoyed in 4koma/manga form.
Outside of a few slight laughs, there is little enjoyment to be had for casual fans such as myself. If you praise the original show and characters like a religion, like many people do, there is no doubt you will enjoy it.

This manga is an epilogue story of the main series. Tell a story of our beloved characters going through college. Still have the same wholesome and funny moment throughout the plot. Although they're now in college, their personality didn't change at all, they still how do i say it... kinda childish. I don't hate it, but i freaking love it. Some people may be thinking that's a bad character development right there, for me its not. This is the last time we're gonna see the characters. So its gotta make an impact that will make the characters remembered for who they are.

The story is very ... simple, just like the main anime. Cute girls doing cute thing but the difference is that they are now in college. They meet new people with new personality and the interaction they have is also new. We rarely have a new characters in the main series. Everyone is build perfectly with their own uniqueness. So we the reader never confuse them with other girls. This part is really important because their character design looks almost the same.

The manga is drawn in 4-koma style. Personally for me, i kinda dislike this kind of style. Its boring and hard to read. I need to zoom one line at a time to read. Beside that, everything is beautiful. I like the simple art style of this manga because its fit the mood. Everyone is chilling living their best life. No drama, no action, only fun moment with friends.

The pace is kinda slow. But that's not a problem for me because i like to consume things slowly, either its my food or my entertainment. Every genre from comedy to CGDCT is done greatly. I get a good laugh out of it, and sometimes smiling because they're so fluffy. Not literally fluffy, but their action that is fluffy. Deep down they care for each other and it warms my heart. There's also a brief cameo for the girls that still in high school. I kinda wish they end it on Azusa getting into the same college you know. I think that's too much to ask. If they do it, i don't think i can contain the happiness.

Overall, the vibe this manga radiate is almost the same as the anime. I can't judge the original manga series because i never read that. Some people says its better, other says its worse. Me, i really enjoy reading it and you should too. Taking a break from the never stopping real life problem by reading this. I will definitely read the K-On! High School too because Azusa is my best girl. Thank you for reading my review.
